I feel like I've found this playlist after everyone else. It's a lonely, if not thoughtful experience.

Religion = religious trauma, a manipulative tool that warps your world perception and self esteem. Yesterday I came out to my aunt. She’s the only person I know irl that isn’t homophobic and she was really supportive. It made me feel a lot better. I don’t have any problem with my parents being religious, and I love them, but it’s just hard when I have an emotional breakdown and they start preaching about how I need to believe in Jesus if I want to be happy, when I just want them to tell me they love me. I understand they’re trying their best, and saying the right thing is hard, but most of the time, a simple “It’ll be okay” is more comforting than reciting the whole bible lol😬😅🥲

as someone who is non-binary and bisexual, i was scared of being what makes me happy because “it might go against the ten commandments!” and shut myself out from coming out, because it’s terrifying for them to say something to me.

i dont even know if my family is or isnt religious. We pray for grace at special dinners like thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. Sometimes my parents birthday dinners. Mostly my dads birthday dinner. My dad has lots of crosses and stuff. But im trans and gay,closeted so im not sure of what they'd say.

So i just put this playlist on, put in my ear buds and tried to fall asleep after a long journey, i was reading circe by madeline miller before sleeping....when i tell you i just had the weirdest fucking dream, some verses woke me up with crystal fucking clear character parallels. I would wake up, abd immediately fall asleep bc im really tired, so it just kept happening, also my nose is blocked so it felt like i was drowing, coming back to surface with divine knowledge and being dragged back under the water.... Good playlist

As a non-binary lesbian with religious trauma who is obsessed with angelology and demonology and dispite all the the bad memories my safe place when I need to get out of this house always seems to be that damn cemetery. I liked the playlist. Also brand new being the first song actually made me cry like dont support him at all but that man just has a certain way with his voice 😩

today my theology teacher talked about how and why the catholic church doesn’t recognize gay marriages. he talked about how sex for pleasure without procreation or intent to procreate is sinful. he talked about how contraceptives are horrible and cause women to be barren (not true but most of what he says isn’t). me and my bi friend had to sit in there while classmates who knew kept staring at us. we asked questions and they always led back to “well the church says” or “well we do believe that as christians to be a sin.” my friend went home and got called a slur by his religious conservative dad for wearing nail polish. my other friend was told by her sisters not to tell her parents she was bi because they wouldn’t take it well. i was outed by my cousin to my family a year or so ago and when i said that there are still some (small) hard feelings between us my parents and grandma told me to get over it. nobody understands. nobody really gets how it feels to walk into school every day and wonder what’s it gonna be that day. nobody understands how it feels to have this sense that i won’t be able to enjoy the little things. i can’t afford to trust if a teacher is gonna be good because homophobia is still so rampant in the christian church. my theology teacher said adopted children of same sex couples have come forward and said they would have preferred to be with their biological parents or a heterosexual couple. i asked him if that was because of having same sex parents or because of the social stigma surrounding homosexuality. he didn’t answer. i’m just so done.
