We swapped out the stock Borg-Warner T-5 transmission and stock steel flywheel in our Fox Body Mustang and installed a brand new Tremec TKX, American Powertrain hydrualic clutch conversion kit, and a Fidanza lightweight aluminum flywheel.       It could be done, but the original was urethane, so that's what was reproduced. There may be fiberglass and carbon fiber options out there, but no one has produced one in steel.

    I have an 1984 Z28 Camaro that I'm basically restoring and doing a big color change. It's white right now this minute but before long it will be Green With Envy Pearl Basecoat. The rivers are probably going to be whatever black dad paints the headlight area. I'm trying to talk him into doing the same thing with the moldings under the doors and fenders. He had his windshield guy come remove the windshield today. $100 & it sucks I'm paralyzed and he has 2 cars in his shop and not enough room for me in there. Dad said Ming used some type of air hammer which smoked my brain because I said this was the was to do it. Lucky for me microscopic amount of surface rust. I basically stole it, $1k for the car, brand new crate engine, and rebuilt 700R4 transmission. They wasn't smart enough to change The Gas Tank and Sending Unit lmmfao.

    The parts are around $3,600 plus tax, plus oversize freight shipping if anyone is wondering. Excellent conversion but Lord it's hard to drop $4k on a car you drove home for $2,500.

      I agree, and I bet that the rear conversion which a video was never done, is just as expensive. Now you're looking at 7k total just in parts for both the front and back. The rear conversion will require a lot of cutting of the quarter panels, trunk floor panel, and rear panels. It will require more time to fabricate then the front. Very costly.

      That's the Newport radio from Retrosound. It's intended for GM cars and trucks, but can be adapted to many applications.

    Did you use the little white plastic clips in the front of the headliner when reinstalling? I ordered this headliner but how do you get the clips In?

      No they don’t. The claim it won’t sag but they send you some Velcro strips.
