Off the Grid: The Life and Struggles of a 75-Year-Old Transylvanian Couple
Most of us had or have a grandma like her..
On our journey in the Transylvanian mountains, we've met Mr. Ilie (75 years old) and Mrs. Minerva (71 years old). They live alone in the village area of Gârda de Sus, on a smaller area named Poiana Călineasa.
Through our documentaries we want to underline the fact that these places and these traditions are on the verge of disappearance, very few people are still willing to live so remotely with no electricity and no running drinking water.
There is no scripting on our videos, and we only document the real life of these awesome people.

Добрый день! У меня вопрос .А много ли нужно бабушке в таком возрасте? Если она живёт одна, то зачем нужно две коровы? Если никто не помогает, но найдутся ,кто будет этим пользоваться, зачем себя так утруждать? Литр молока можно купить у соседей. В таком возрасте уже и отдохнуть можно! Неужели бабушка этого не заслужила?

Я тоже так думаю. Знаю как тжело за ними ухаживать, особенно зимой. А как они сено заготавливают? Пенсии они получают две, им должно хватить на жизнь. Я из России и уже давно на пенсии, мне хватает на нормальную жизнь. 🎉

This is not simple living, the man in the video has much more knowledge than city dwellers. His life is hard and complicated. It is simple to live in a rented apartment, go to work where everything is set up for you, go home after work; the rest is optional. Food is provided at the grocery store, power from your receptical, medical care not too far away, etc. That is simple.
