Very Nice Fujitec Traction Elevators at Madison Place - Covington, KY

These are the Fujitec elevators at Madison Place in Covington, KY. The building was built in the early 2000s and features apartments with 5 floors of penthouses on top. Unfortunately, the elevators that go up to the penthouses are locked and guarded by concierge. The service elevator also requires a key card. The lobby is on the 4th floor.

These are the awesome elevators at W. Frank Steely Library at Northern Kentucky University. There are 2 elevators in the building. The first elevator is a standard Dover Impulse. The glass elevator was modded recently with generic Innovation fixtures. It was previously a Dover traditional. The building opened in 1975 and it's one of the coolest examples of Brutalist architecture.

This is the awesome MEI hydraulic elevator at MRBL | Steak, Seafood, Sushi. This was added onto the side of the building in 2022. It serves the ground level (1), restaurant (4), and roof (5). Unfortunately, the roof level was locked. This is pretty tall for a hydraulic.

In this video, we revisit the elevator from my "Creepy Elevator Chime" video. The elevator seems to be running fine, though the 4th floor is locked and the buttons seem to be stuck. This is an interesting traction elevator inside Arts and Sciences Hall (formerly McMicken Hall) at the University of Cincinnati. The building opened in 1950 and has this old elevator. It's been modded with PTL fixtures so I'm not sure what kind it is/was.

THE FACT THGAT THE ELEVATOR WAS SO EMBARRASSED AFTER OVERLEVELING
There was an old elevator that did this at the hospital my mother works at. Except when it releveled down it would shudder violently. It would feel like the cables were snapping and it scared the crap out of everyone. They replaced the entire system when a patient was being transported on it and caused them to have a literal panic attack.

What the heck this elevator misinstalled?!!... I think the maintenance created of failure caused on elevator. You should NOT go in the elevator. Should report the service need fixtures about that elevator. How was bad this elevator mislevel operating the doors won't open properly! 😨
There’s an elevator at my school that is like that. It sometimes relevels a few inches after opening. Not only that, when it starts moving it moves it goes up starting at full speed (probably has a bad valve). Pretty scary. It’s a belt driven hydraulic with ThyssenKrupp controller btw

I'm certainly not an expert on these things by any means, but it looks to me like the up fast valve is closing way too slowly for whatever reason (cold oil?), so by the time it's closed the car is already well above the floor, at which point it relevels back down. The door reversing and closing again at 0:18 is typical on these if they lose the door zone signal when the doors are open.

remember, otis will always keep one of the cars at the main floor unless theres multiple calls to justify sending the car away. 1:22 if you're not switching at the main floor, you gotta send the car to two floors to get the other one
those door tracks look like OTIS Series 1 so these were probably Elevonics or something. Fujitec prolly modded these idk

Went to some random floor at a building in my college for the heck of it once, and when the doors opened, it was just some wooden walls with Asbestos warning signs plastered on them.
