Awesome! Thanks for the models and links. Just wanted to pop in and say as of today (8/21/2024) the link for the switches provided were not compatible with the switch 3D model you provided. I ultimately made it work by drilling out the hole for the spring and shortening the spring retention mechanism. Also there was no cap for the spring and I didn't end up shortening the spring any.

I've been sitting on this kit (your kit btw) for 5 months to ID the missing parts and needed hardware in order to assemble this thing. So that's no helpful in the slightest.

Is the RC power switch necessary? Power pack plugs right into the switch and it's within the receivers specs.
if i may ask, how'd you connect the effects to that switch? i'm planning on building one myself. love your build!!

How close does the remote have to be to the CD player in order to operate? For example, let's say I'm in a house & put the CD player in a room to prank my kids & I'm in the kitchen or the living room with the remote. Will the CD player function at that distance?
Yes I should function just fine, unless you live in a faraday. I’ve tested in my house while out of the room and in a recent Comic-Con and it worked from great distance.
I'd love to see you make a ghost from Destiny. Maybe with a moving eye and some cool voice lines.
Will it be possible to leave it working on its own somehow? Guess an Arduino inside could manage sending out burst of signals to the servo?

On the ninja tunes kit when on the afterlife mode in my hasbro pack. When the switchs on the wand are switched with a 1To 3 second between, the last switch is push up the pack go's in firing mode without press the button to fire also in you video there is no beeping sound before hitting the last switch, hope you can help , i didnt get a response for ninja tunes as of yet maybe you can a fellow ghostbuster 👻

Any suggestions how to split into one of the JST connections on the ninja tunes board to power a few low lowered LEDS? prefer it to come on with the pack and not have several battery packs scattered around.

Just got mine! Excellent design! And this is the strongest goddamn magnet I have ever seen! I love the fact that this is 1000% modular. I might decide to sew the hose port on in the future and being able to is an excellent option!

Very cool! I admit I'm still waiting on the wand speaker upgrade, though (assuming it works reliably with Ninjatunes). Especially in non-cheese wedge variety. 😁
Still working on that. The speaker mod requires a very specific speaker for NinjaTunes which is current unavailable.

Love the hardware. My biggest issue with my hose that I've had when cosplaying it so far is that the small carabineers have a tendency to snap if it gets caught on something. Still looking for a better solution for that.
I had one with that same issue. That’s why I made this one with a key ring and a metal clip. The inner barb is pretty robust for what it is too.
