They had to give obiwan that out because otherwise they would have had to write a petty, vengeful vader who acts more similar to his younger counterpart (because he *is* closer to his younger counterpart at least age-wise). Have him berate obi-wan for his cowardice. Have him list off people obi-wan cares about that he killed personally. Have him put out the fire and have two stormtroopers drag obi-wan in front of him and hold him down as he lines up to cut off a limb. That's when you have Tala snipe the two troopers while the droid bum rushes vader. Even if vader stops the thing in its tracks with the force, have tala continue laying down covering fire that vader has to use his free hand to deflect which allows obi wan to gather his wits and make a run for it. Maybe throw in a pained backwards glance where vader is roaring in rage while crushing the droid like a tin can. Have obi wan run until he collapses into tala's arms as she leads him somewhere safe to recover. We *know* obi-wan has plot armor, but make vader a real threat dangit! Hell because of how starvwars prosthetics work, you could even have a successful limb chopping if u really wanted and just say the rebels got him a new *whatever* like they did with Luke.

A funny thing that people always argue about is Boba Fett. Saying he is not a Mandalorian. He is a perfect clone, like all of the Clone Troopers of Jango Fett, the only difference between Boba Fett and the Clone Troopers, is that Boba Fett was not Age Accelerated. So he was literally Jango Fett's son. Some will say "Being a Mandalorian, doesn't tide with blood or genetics." *Looks at the many times Mandalorians speak about how their genetics and blood makes a true mandalorian.* I think they missed that part. Yes, anyone can take the oath, yes anyone of any species can become A Mandalorian. But they will never be a True Mandalorian, because they means they have to have the genetics and bloodlines of the Mandalorian warriors and/or people. And since the Mandalore War, nearly put them in extinction, the clones and Boba Fett will still be a True Mandalorian, because of their genetics being from Jango Fett, a True Mandalorian, and technically he hasn't taken the oath either, or disregard parts of it. So about the technology. First off we have the Face Surgical Droids, and yes this is a technology that exists, but it is illegal by both Republic and Galactic Empire law. They were more common during the Sith Empire war between it and the Old Republic. But still seen as illegal, and most of the time, they were owned by the Hutt Cartel, and only offered their services to either people they can gain something from, this include gangs. Or for the highest bidder. The problem with these droids, is that they do a full Reconstruction of the face, and there is a limit on how many times, and to what they can do. Example from a Human to a Human, easy, well easier. A Bothan to a Human? Now that would be a hard and multiple surgeries to complete. From a Ugnot to a Gungan? Impossible. So they are extremely limited in reality to the lore and how they are used. And since they are illegal, and regulated by one of the biggest crime syndicates, it is not easy to get any or get access to use one. Second off we have the Holo-Disguise, there is many different versions, some of the most common, projects a holografic head, along with a voice modulator these are often used by infiltrators. Now the tech itself is very expensive to make and produce, as well as maintaining them. But the one in the show is way more advanced than the other holo technologies that exists.

The Jedi would not do anything about Slavery in Republic space. Because Slavery was Allowed and Practiced by the member species of the senate on a daily basis. You know the Wookies? Big fluffy strong people. There is this corporation, that was founded and funded by the Republic, Czerka Corporation, they enslaved a lot of species, and even underhanded and made people go into debt with them, thus making them have to work off a sum of money, that would keep on increasing every week, just to keep them working. This corporation made weapons, and other less "important" things according to them. They lasted all the way up to the New Republic. During the Clone wars, people always asked why example the Wookies didn't trust the Republic, gee, it was because they had been betrayed by the Republic on many occasions. Same with the Gungans, they were seem as mere labour animals, not people, but animals. Many of the core worlds that produced a vital resource, used slave labour, even going so far to enslave member species just to increase yields. So why would the Jedi do anything against it? It was the Senates will after all. People also keep on taking up the whole "Galactic Empire evil", and taking up the slavery part. Yes, the Galactic Empire still had slaves, but most of their slave workers was actually from Penal Colonies, and they had active forces to try and track down, and deal with now illegal slaves. Exceptions was still the Wookies. "They blew up Alderan!" America bombed Iraq because of one man! America Evil!!!! "But that was a terrorist!". Alderan was housing Rebel Supporters, who was actively working against the Galactic Empire, they were Terrorists. And since no commoners were allowed to live or be on the planet. And being an Active Economy for the Rebels, why would they not destroy it? That is like saying America is evil because they went after a terrorist and a terrorist organization. Now if you say the Sith is Evil, then yes. But saying the Empire was evil. Well on the contrary, many rimworlds, and fringe worlds, was safer, because they put the time and effort in protecting the people of the empire. And the "They are Xenophobes" oh? Where? They allow all species to be part of the Galactic Senate, to be a voice of their people. They are not like the Sith Empire, which was actively racist against anything, which was not either human, or didn't belong to the Sith. But wait there is more. Twileeks even when they have asked countless of times, they are still one of the most enslaved people in Star Wars, by themselves, by humans, by quite literally *everyone*. And no one is trying to save them from slavery. But then we also have the whole Hutt Cartel, "The Empire didn't do anything against them!" the Republic didn't do anything, and actively allowed the Hutts to do their crime stuff in Republic Space. While the Empire required hefty fees from the Hutts to do so. Otherwise their operations were closed down inside the Empire's space.

Sure there’s always gonna be outlier fans with autism that will outspokenly inflate the general perception of a crafted story via the loud minority phenomenon but cmon dawg u know damn well that time is a construct, & the term stand-alone is as well, like wth r u pretending to be an expert of rn bruhv? No but lol funny offensives aside, srsly think about it, what does it matter if on a drawing board u think about the end 1st & then the beginning middle & transitions? Why does it matter when this guy on the drawing board turned in each of those pieces? Take that one scale larger & it still doesn’t matter. Why does it matter if the end part of a story arc got “turned in” to the audience before context was finally able to be provided? At least it was provided eventually & better preps the overall narrative for more & more newcomers to experience a fuller & fuller product every time they 1st pick up the craft & every time it’s more & more perfected & gap-less? (Even if it has gaps, implied things help the world feel lived in, Arcane does this perfectly, but nevertheless yea, for the most part show don’t tell is the rule of thumb to go by for most parts of a story. There has to be a balance) Point is, why does it matter for the larger creative team building & working the whole narrative through & in-between turning things in out of order to the audience, but it doesn’t matter for the smaller creative team turning things in out of order to the drawing board manager/producer/exec? Who are they to judge? Who is an audience to judge? What is a finish line? ~ & to anyone else reading this, you can always do something to improve, don’t let anyone tell u it’s too late ~ …it quite literally never is… (& that’s only a pseudo absolute to contradict another absolute lol)

After TLJ, I stopped having anything to do with SW after the The Old Republic video game. Disney's twisted exclusionary version is dead to me and I hope to most people. When the creator himself said that none of the current people running it understand it at all, but it isn't his anymore - that tells you all you need to know. As for this show, I do not want any part of bringing the South Park version of KK to life. I will give them credit for this - at least they admit for once that this is a self-insert of the show runner.

It seems like this video is mostly about the logic of the story…but thats pretty low on the list of reasons why the prequels are so bad. If you value things like acting, script/dialogue, character writing, cinematography, action, and special effects….those are the reasons why the prequels are just more poorly made movies than the sequels.

After watching both parts, I really like the show and I still do but I see where you are coming from. I think some of the story beats make sense where you don't but I can agree with most of the characters not getting developed like they should, regarding maul not dying compared to others having that happening I always assumed it had to do with a mix of his race and his rage using the dark side where others who have that happen like reva there's no more explanation to it

Realistically Sabines story in this show actually makes WAY more sense if shes not a jedi or trained as one at all. She should make these impulsive, emotional descixions. Shes not a jedi specifically trained not to do that. Then when jt blows up in her face thats when she should be "trained" as a jedi or more specifically she should be taught by ahsoka to learn to control her emotions and be more rooted and calm. But that would be a character arc. And Filoni doesnt wanna show his precious OCs with flaws.

I gave Into the Spider verse a 9.8/10 but for me across was about a 7/10

Oh it's so satisfying to know that I'm not the only one who didn't like Peter B in this movie. I know the first movie was more about Miles and Peter while this one was about Miles and Gwen, but he shouldn't be just a comic relief. He was always funny but now he's supossed to be funny because he's a bad father? It's really sad seeing a character reduced like this.

Considering Gwen has a "protect trans kids" sign in her bedroom and miles wears a BLM button during his interview with his parents there is a lets say a certain message they want to push and competent fathers are not one.

These critiques about clone wars are so bad. They are basically collections of small out of context arguments or just straight up false points that require a whole paragraph to reply to each sentence of falsehood. Like your first Anakin argument about him being the wrong character. You can't compare Ep 3 Anakin.. That took place after the Clone wars movie and TV series.. So if that isn't misleading I don't know what is. Speaking of Clone wars the movie, its an important thing to watch if you really want to have a proper introduction into the clone wars tv series. The two should go hand in hand but are often never even mentioned together. When I see any critique about clone wars tv series not even mention the movie like it didn't exist, it greatly depreciates any argument you're going to make. You haven't even watched it chronologically yet. Next is the more difficult thing for many critique's to understand is timing.. Shows and movies advertised towards kids - became kiddier and kiddier over the years. You just simply cannot get away with showing kids the same things that was deemed acceptable in the late 90s or early 2000s. If you don't understand this concept watch some of your childhood favorites like Matilda and see just how brutal they were towards kids. Not only that, with star wars there is some sort of expectation for a more mass wide appeal with their box office movies, very much less so with the cartoon which were designed for younger viewers. So essentially you're comparing 2002 Anakin from live action movie to a cartoon version from the animated movie half a decade newer or the animated tv series which ran for over a decade after episode 2 had been released. While I agree with the general idea that the cartoon version is softer, kinder, less evil, less creepy - it isn't totally out of the storyline. It just chooses to focus on an earlier point in Anakin's fall to the dark side, while still staying true to the plot throughout the series. He still goes down that path.

20 minutes into your review and I find myself annoyed at your estimation of the RLM audience. Just a bunch of sponges absorbing and regurgitating obviously wrong ideas. I realize that you disagree with Plinkett, but I don’t already share your perspective, you have to convince me, and you make that task more difficult by insulting anyone who disagrees with you. A lot of this feels like high school debate where you’re refuting points in this heavy-handed way, but not diving any more deeply than you have to to refute the point. I would appreciate more ownership of your aesthetic biases and satisfactions, and what I mean is that it would be nice if you found the things that work for you and say, “This worked for me even though it didn’t for Plinkett.” Instead of calling Mr. Stoklasa’s worldview or film critiquing skills into question. I do not like any of the prequels, so I’m a hard sell for what you’re doing here. But simply dismantling Plinkett isn’t enough. The films have a lot of inconsistencies and weird elements, just problems all around. I feel like I can tell, 20 minutes into your video, that there’s no way you’ll be able to demonstrate that somehow all those things don’t exist. I’ll keep watching for a little while.
