Dont buy it very unrelayable!
Really? Please tell us how it is unreliable and why people shouldn't buy it. Thanks
3 days battery life? This directly contradicts the website that says "Up to 30 days Battery Life" ?
It all depends on modes. Mark is using it on Standar mode which gives an average user 3-5 days. Other modes will give you more battery, up to 30 days. Please note that most other trackers only last 24h with a single charge so even at 3-5 days it is a very big difference
We lost one of our Bengals a few weeks ago. We live on acreage in Australia and just one day she did not come back. Pretty sure she must have been taken by another animal, wild dogs, snake (not likely), fox. I wish I would have know about pettracer before. I am putting pettracer on our other Bengal. Lucky she is a bit les adventurous then her sister.
If I have to pay a monthly service I am out. Maybe a one time charge I would consider it.
You can pay in advance for hardware and subscription to portal
I’m looking for the pet tracer that you reviewed. Is there another name? Or could you help me with the manufacturer? Thank you.

Looks like a great product but disappointed to read of a spurious claim on their website “no harmful cell phone radiation “. I’d love to see their evidence for cell phones causing harm. The world has had cell phones for over 40 years and there’s no evidence that cell phones users have higher rates of any disease or infliction than non users. How long is the disinformation/ignorance against radio frequency energy going to go on?! (RF energy occurs naturally as well!)
PET TRACER IS THE BEST ONE BUT YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR A SUBSCRIPTION MONTHLY
How much cellular data does it consume?
petTracer doesnt use celullar data. Is GPS + RF (Radio)
I'd steal your Cats Sir Please keep allowing them out. They are Beautiful Sorry

Sooo what one would most likely be recommended?
petTracer by far. Watch the video :) www.pettracer.com
Hi, could you test Ubeequee 4G please? Many thanks
Then tell us the best trasker, fucker 😝
I like what pet tracer is doing with their radio scanner which is great, but a max range of only 500m from the collar to the homestation is such a shame when other collars have unlimited range
This is why I was confused on their site. So even the GPS tracking only has 500m? Thats what it sounded like and then reading your comment is sounds like thats the case. Why is the GPS not standard and a sim and data can be purchased. The subscription is 125 a year for 500m GPS? How can that be
@@sprtwlf9314 yep, on their website they say if there are other homestations within the area that would also boost the range. I find it weird that they send gps locations via radio from the collar to their home station and then add the location to their server via the internet, seems like it could be a cost saving thing on their end maybe.
Hi, the GPS is unlimited. The signal is transmitted to the HomeStation via radio which is why this is limited to 500m. This means that if the cat is out of range but comes back into range you will be able to see in retrospect where ha has been. You can also make the HomeStation mobile by connecting it to a power bank and moving closer to the cats natural territory which will give you a new 500m area from that point as well as guide you with the Radio technology if you are getting closer or further away from him.
Hi, you understood how petTracer works but there are many reasons as to why we opted for this as our technology as opposed to using SMS like most other companies do. One of it is that many users dont like a device next to their cat's head constantly using telephone technology which could potentially cause radiation to their cat.
PET TRACER IS GOOD BUT YOU NEED A SUBSCRIPTION MAKING IT EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE
Did I hear that the location was furry, furry accurate :)
A very lucid explanation of points to look for in a cat-tracker.
Hi there, i'm wondering if i could have some recommendations ? I’ve been looking and reviewing GPS trackers recently for cats, and unsure what one is the most accurate? Any advice please ??my cat lewie went missing for 3 weeks and has returned recently, what tracker would you recommend in buying ?
Hi Beth, please watch the video. It is clear that petTracer is the winner all around. There are others which will be accurate but each has some pros and cons. www.pettracer.com

The price for the device is already a no go. And also for the subscribe. Its is never 4 times better then others, but the price is so.
It doesn't have to be 4 times better it just has to work. Most other trackers will run out of battery in a few hours, that alone makes them a bad alternative and truly a waste of money and false security.
Pettracer is work in Australia?
Hi Daria, yes! please email us, we actually have many petTracer users in Australia. Who knows maybe someone near you is already using it :) hello@pettracer.com
Please I need quick response 😭 I live in Indonesia and been trying so hard to get this kind of collar for my cat, I went to website in your description but it just won't work, why is that? I really need this Petracer collar.
fab im going to get one, my cat went missing for 6 days a few weeks ago it was an awful few days searching and not knowing where she is, yes tracking them can't prevent their death but at least if anything did happen you are able to locate them and have that closure. my cat has roamed her whole life she is 8 now and this is the first time she has gone missing, we think she got locked in somewhere as she was starving and quite dirty when she came home, if i had had this tracker i could have found her straight away!
Hi Rita, did you ever find your cat? Best wishes

Alan, I've purchased your item this week, however have been unable to install/download/configure the HomeStation. I have watched the video, tried the troubleshooting suggestions and nothing is working. What I find frustrating about your company is there is no telephone support available. I have photographs of the errors/problems I am incurring but unable to upload to the form online. What would be a great help is if soneone could call me/video/teams/Skype call me so I can physically show them the issues and hopefully get it resolved the same day, instead of emails back and fourth which will take days. Please help

Pawtrack NEVER EVER - quality and service are sucks I'm living in US and I had a bit concern about buy collar from UK. I paid for this collar two month ago, one month later nothing ship to me, I sent email to customer support - they said - Yes we will send it to you soon, finally after 3 weeks it came to me. Device was different than on the site pictures. After two weeks using it was broken. Support said - it is my fault and I must to pay for both way shipping.
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. We can ship a petTracer collar from Switzerland if interested in a great GPS collar for your cat. Please contact us via the site. www.pettracer.com
If my cat didn’t return home I’d search all the Chinese restaurants top to bottom
A bad partner is worse than rain... the latter mekes you go home, while the former makes you go outside.
Why can't the device be made much smaller? We live in the 21st century!
Mainly because of battery. That is the bulk of most of these devices.

Our cat lost the collar the first time he went out with it, although we could track it down to under the neighbours car... Before use I tested the release to see how easily it would come off, apparently you should not do this as it blunts the release clip making it easier to come off next time... So to make it harder to come off I dressed the release clip with a needle file to 'sharpen' it. Not too much, just enough to stop it coming apart so easily... This time it took 4 months for our cat to lose the collar (neighbours garden, we could see it pinging away so got it back again ok). I would think every time the clip is undone to put on the charger it blunts slightly, so I will keep monitoring the release mechanism. I prefer the 'elasticated' release type of collar, so I'm thinking of trying to convert to this... Btw, the collar is useful, I see my cat has a favourite place to go and spend time, not happy coz he has to cross a road!
Thank you for your comment Nathan
hey nathen, just wondering after a year what your thoughts are, as im looing at buying a cat tracer and value people reviews rather than company reviews (which this is)
this is just u advertising ur own product and i have 2 cats why would i spend 400 dollars on 2 small trackers when i could get a really good one for 20$?
Because these high quality tracers are the only ones who work and even then there are issues. Read Steve Bs review above to get a better idea. You get what you pay for. But if you delude yourself into thinking constructing a cat tracer is a piece of cake go ahead and order some of these supercheap junk tracers on Aliexpress. Don't forget to post your experience here pls after 1 month (more like 1 day) of use.
Please let us know where you can find a really good one for $20 🧐
OH PLEASE! OH PLEASE! WORK! Seems that you have done your homework for cat compatibility and cat tracking... Gonna give it a try! I have 8 cats... Tired of having to go out and look for them! Blessings James... P.S. What's the range on the finder? Feet? Or Miles? Not available in U.S. 🇺🇲 😭
Did they tell you petsonally that they don't ship to the US? Or did you read the info on their site that they sell in EU, UK and Switzerland only so far?
Please email us directly to obtain a petTracer in the US. hello@pettracer.com Thank you
As a Pettracer user I need to make a few comments here to give some real-life user perspective of the system. Firstly it is expensive with an initial hardware layout for collar and radio/base station and then to actually use it you need to pay upfront for an annual or longer subscription! The collars being expensive is a further issue, because due to the ‘safety release’ of the collar, you will lose them. You may ask, well why not just track the lost collar, and that is the next big problem. A lot of the time I would imagine collars are lost when they fall from your cat due to them catching on branches, bushes or similar and the collar then falls in that tree or bushy area. The GPS may well be accurate for these devices, but it is still at least a 10metre variance in my experience, usually more actually. So the collar is lost in a 10 metre square area of trees or bush environment - it’s challenging to say the least. Next is the aspect of using the radio search to find the collar, with an increasing power reading as you get closer to the collar, however this Is really nit easy to setup unless you are fairly computer savvy - it needs an external power pack to be connected and needs to be setup with your mobile phone wifi. This is never straightforward and is actually made even more difficult because there is no little window or similar on the base station telling you if you have connected to your phone network or not. The addition of this window would make it a lot easier to manage in this respect. But again, after all the rigmarole of getting your hardware configured at a mobile scanning station, the app is very erratic and doesn’t really give you any more of an accurate idea of where the collar may be. No problem, you might think, there is still that LED light to switch on so that I will see the collar. Alas the LED is the dullest source of light that you could imagine and it is inside a black plastic collar, rendering that of no use at all. After saying all that, it has helped locate my cat on the occasion that she got stuck in a tree. Although I would have found her anyway, it did do its job. The downside is that I also have lost 2 collars so far (1 per month at almost £100 per go) because they have become dislodged from my cat in the bushes and although I know they are in there, I have never found one - the locating process is not accurate enough to pinpoint and the LED is hopeless. Maybe a sound emitter would help? My summary, it did work, but boy is it expensive and looks like it will continue to be as I need to keep buying collars to use the subscription period that I had to buy up front!
Thank you for this realistic review. It shows how difficult it is to build an efficient tracer for cats, weight being one of the issues because it has to be small and light, weatherproof but also must come with a safety feat. so your cat doesn't strangle itself. GPS accuracy is also an issue. I came to the conclusion that buying a tracer under 200 bucks is useless. It comes down to a personal decision, are the costs for a relatively well working tracer worth the piece of mind or not. Hopefully this and similar quality products can be enhanced in the future but it's tricky.
Have you sent this review to the company? Cat tracer collars are still in their relative infancy and I think feedback like this serves as a brilliant motive for the company to improve the next generation of collars.
@@kind-hearted-thievesjoe1512 Yeah he should definitely send to the company. Most reviews are written just after receiving the product so they tend to be very black and white, 5* vs 1*. Imo reviews of people who used the product a few months at least are more helpful, had the ones who were extremely frustrated waited they might have written a more balanced review because they didn't fully understand how to properly use the product. And vice versa the ones who were very enthusiastically might have discovered after a while that the product came with some teething troubles which would then naturally affect their review. I'm also looking forward to the next generation of cat tracers.
Hi Steve, Thank you for your comment and review. Here are some thoughts: Regarding the Safety mechanism, some cats have a knack for getting collars off and some for getting stuck. We sell a harder to open band too which might be useful in this situation but it is definitely an area that we continue to work on. The GPS technology generally is as you mentioned, accurate from 1m to 10m at times, not just for petTracer but for most GPS devices. We understand your concerns regarding the app and HomeStation and since writing your review new improvements to the app have been made. However, as you mentioned it is a workable solution that helps you get to your cat and we believe we offer a device that gives you the highest opportunity of finding your cat. We also have a help desk and we have helped hundreds of customers find their lost cats. Future versions of the petTracer collar might include a beeper but our current model was not able to accommodate for one. Some of our users have added a bluetooth device with a beeper to the collar in addition to petTracer and seems that this offers a very good solution for the time being. Once again, thank you for taking the time to write your views. Please get in touch via email if you would like to discuss any of the above. support@pettracer.com

Its not so expensive considering losing your best friend for life.. at the end of the day if losing your pet is a concern its worth every penny for me !
Couldn't agree more. Our cat went missing for 7 days. I cried every day. She went missing on the day they mowed at my apt and returned the day they mowed again the next week. She was really hungry and had lost a lot of weight. Half her body weight I think.
what tracker do u use?
@@neta335 Tractive.... I paid $50 for tracker and $98 for first year but it was so heavy it loosened her collar. I thought I had it fixed but the second time she wore it she lost it. It was fully charged but I tried for an hour and couldn't find it. Then my son was in the woods for almost 3 hours but we never found a gps tracker. They're worthless. On the ap it would show me but for no reason it would show that I was backtracking but I wasn't. My son thought I wasn't doing it right ( Dang millennials) but it did the same to him. I was promised my $98 back but I keep calling. It's been over a month. I don't think they work right in the states. At least not mine.
