For those wondering how the keyboard came off, there's a little latch that's easily flipped up before pulling it out. A few other connections are that way also. I've an old laptop that began overheating and shutting down. This video has been very helpful, but an explanation of the steps would have been appreciated. Suggestions on the type of thermal paste to get would also have been helpful. My computer is currently dismantled and I'm in the process of getting the thermal paste. Wish me luck putting everything back together! A video of the reverse process would also have been greatly appreciated. 😅

You did not apply thermal paste to the internal graphics chip of the processor and it will burn!

hi, I have an Asus 17.3" ROG Strix G731Gv 16gb with rtx 2060 I wanted to ask you: I tried to connect the external speakers with aux input! unfortunately it shorted out with a spark. now the laptop works, the internal speakers can no longer be heard. Do I need to replace just the aux input?

Do you know by any chance how to clear the BIOS admin password in a Latitude e5430? Or at least the IC in the board that stores the info and if by grounding it can be cleared?

This must be one of the worst notebooks on the face of the earth to mess with, I don't know what the engineers' imbecilic idea was to hide the processor like this there, it's difficult to even do basic maintenance on it like removing dust from the cooler, there are Samsung notebooks that you can access the processor just by removing the lid from underneath, now you have to make a pilgrimage to find it and then hope that everything is right.

i got my latitude e6430 cleaned but it was still overheating and hitting 60°c even while idle, any reason why?

Is it possible to removed GPS chip from this model?

I have question - basically I was cleaning the laptop and I didn’t unplug the battery (in the motherboard) and whilst was cleaning and etc, I accidentally dropped my screwdriver near (in the video where ram is but above a lil) there was electric static discharge for almost 2 secs and I turned the laptop on everything was fine except it couldn’t register my gpu anymore (GTX 1650) and now I’m stuck with well the graphics that came with laptop (it’s really bad). Is this fixable? To me I feel like I’ve broken the laptop overall since it won’t register my gaming Gpu on it and well it runs normal and everything just can’t play games on it
