I had never considered that the Culling of Stratholme was intentionally tedious and unfun but it actually makes a lot of sense. Also, I agree the key of the three moons should have been explained better in the actual mission but in universe a simple explanation is that as the prince of Lordaeron he had knowledge of the high elves defenses both as former allies but also as a neighboring power who could be a potential future threat. He also has spent time in Dalaran and could have read of it there during his time studying in the library. Lastly, he could have been told by Jaina who in turn was told by Kael’thas who was attracted to Jaina and who used to tell her of the wonders of Quel’thalas in an attempt to impress her (high elves are very proud and braggadocios as a species). However, as has become increasingly common with Blizzard, you shouldn’t need to read a book to figure out plot points. I should also note that the book in question which is the basis for my last 2 possible explanations didn’t come out until many years later. 😅 Edit: YOU CAN REBUILD THE BRIDGE?!?!?!?! I have played this campaign dozens of time…. I have never ever even considered rebuilding the bridge. I used to have the strategy guide and even it didn’t say anything about the bridge being rebuildable…. I’m disappointed in myself and very annoyed at the bridge now. Edit2: The Dalaran mission does give you a fair amount of options though. You can use banshees to build up a human attack force to take the city or you can use Frost Wyrms instead. I could be wrong but I believe there is a mercenary camp you could use to hire non scourge units from. I get what your saying about being able to use different tools for the job but sometimes you don’t have access to all your tools and I like that. Although forcing us to use the units many would just spam anyway admittedly isn’t the way to accomplish this.

If the force actually is based on the midichlorians, then the zerg take it in a sweep. I think the honest battle will be with the ground forces and if the empire can effectively support its troops which in all media seems to not be the case. Don't get me wrong I'm an empire stan but the zerg may have this both due to their overwhelming ground power advantage over the empire and the ability to dominate planets with the extremely effective infection rates both assimilation and infestation. We have seen in the past that in the case of infection with the zombie series an uncoordinated assult the empire was rather rocked so placing a tactical mind behind something similar may break them.

I imagine most people's initial reacted to CoH3 was the same as mine, which is: why Italy? Why not the Pacific theater? Imagine all the cool gameplay that a tropical jungle environment could offer. Not to mention the drastic difference in tactics between the US and the Imperial Japan. There would be banzai charges, booby traps, disease and logistical problems to fend off, some interesting naval mechanics (similar to Red Alert 3) and so on. Also you would get a WW2 game without the Nazis, how refreshing would that finally be? I think people would be far more forgiving of CoH3's bugs and monetization if the game had genuinely tried to provide something awesome that the general audience could latch onto, just like Relic did with CoH2.

In the mission where Illidan tries to get the skull of Gul'dan, if you try to attack Tichondrius before getting the power of the skull, Tichondrius will teleport you away and say something along the lines of "Get out of here little elf". I don't remember word for word as it's been years but it was something along those lines.

Would you consider doing another SC2 randomizer run with the archipelago randomizer? Not sure if you know or not, but they had some major updates allowing you to combine all of the campaigns, adding more opportunities to unlock stuff, and more unlockable stuff.

By the way, there exists a mod. Age Of Mythology: Divine edition. It is still in development but already adds 4 full civilizations: the Eldritch, Romans, Aztecs and native Americans.

AOE 4 is actually amazing and an incredibly fun game. With the five all being unique and relatively balanced as long as your not some crazy streamer 😂

It’s kind of odd that I still feel the same about Arthas as a character after all this time. For some reason I never viewed him as the villain.. not even by the time the second expansion for World of Warcraft was released.

How do they manage to have worse graphics than the original CoH? These are cartoonish and unimmersive, instead of gritty and grim. This might be an okay game if the original never existed, but it does, and its far superior, all they had to do was keep expanding the original but instead they make this garish trash. Buy or go back to CoH1, these are poor shadows expoilting the cult classic's legacy with little of the substance.

coh 3 has gotten so much better over the last year it's really balanced and fun to play as of now. Didn't enjoy the singleplayer content too much but I love the multiplayer and especially the competetive side of it. sunk over 1k hours into it over the last year haha

There is loot to be found in Stratholme! In the zoo, (yes, there is a zoo) there's a rat that has to be blown up by spam clicking, yielding you a talisman of evasion! And the orcs, they were in the original as well, tucked in the north part of the map, outside the city

Great video! Since you want to see WWI in company of heroes, I highly recommend the fantastic Great War 1918 mod for COH 1. It’s completely free to play and on Steam, incorporating British and German armies with accompanying maps as well from the era. Highly recommend it!

I thought you made a point that nukes count as a unit because they cost supply and money in Mission 2, which was the only reason you used nukes in T Mission 2 because they technically weren't your nukes lmao Then you proceed to use them against Mengsk lmao This was an extremely entertaining video, though, Thanks Grant. The static defense rush against The Overmind was hilarious and I loved the poetry for T Mission 1
