This is rare, timeless NEVER AIRED BEFORE documentary about the one-of-a-kind saxophone player Maceo Parker, who started as a sideman of James Brown.
Maceo discusses his career working with James Brown, Ray Charles, George Clinton, Curtis Mayfield, and others. He talks about how he grew with Fred Wesley, and Pee Wee Ellis and how they built musical respect for each other as well as what "People get Ready" and "Over the rainbow" means to him.
Accompanied by live session footage, you gain a first row experience of their studio work at A&R Studios in NYC and Cologne in November 1989 in preparation of the Roots Revisited Album.
