    I decided to check out hydrogen electrolizer technology after my local news were buzzing about a corperation getting approval to start their Canyon Creek green power complex west of Hinton, Alberta, Canada. Canyon Creek will used the abandoned mine as pumped hydroelectric energy storage as primary energy storage. The hydrogen electrolizer would be secondary energy storage. It will be surrounded by fed into from several wind solar farms. Hinton already has a just completed solar wind farm of 20 Mw but they want to keep adding more to peak out at 400 Mw. That would be crazy huge in excess of 20 to 30 square km of land. The abandoned mine turned lake resevior alone is 15 square km.

    The bubbles appear on the electrodes so if hydrogen is released from one electrode then oxygen should be release at the same time and same for the other electrode. There are no oxygen and hydrogen bubbles moving across to their opposite electrodes. In conclusion the hydrogen and oxygen is coming from the degrading electrodes and or the electrolyte mixture. Water is not being split into H and O.

    This was posted in March 2015. What happened to the Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) Hydrogen Electrolyser? Why isn't it being used to generate the Hydrogen needed for Fuel Call vehicles from Renewables like Solar Panels around the world? All I see are complaints about Industrial generation of Hydrogen from Methane with its Carbon Dioxide biproduct.

    • @100vg
      @100vg Před 2 lety

      @Corrigan WrongWay Hydrogen from Methane is a more polluting process than it's worth. It creates more of the same pollution than Hydrogen replacement use does; that is gas and diesel ICE vehicles. If you don't believe that Hydrogen Fuel Cells would be a better way to go than the current fossil fuels, that's you, but a clean source of Hydrogen for Fuel Cell vehicles or even ICEs is an excellent fuel or there would have been ways to produce it from water for ICE vehicles into the carburetor or fuel injection and even blasting rockets into space. It burns hotter, so ICE mixes and tolerances need to be adjusted, but it is a great fuel. I don't think you know the facts, but whatever.

    Ok, this actually stinks of history repeating itself, future generations sold out to chemical corporations, typically by desperate for profit governments/lords and councils/councillors; like how to get dragged further into the swamp within the Covid saga... If gold wasn't sold out so much for vanity and luxury, then it could be affordably available for utility with this kind of technology. My research shows me that this technology uses synthetic polymers also, which are typically derived from petroleum oil (Shell plc?! Dutch-British oil and gas company ... Shell Oil Company, its principal subsidiary in the United States, is one of its largest businesses.The corporation is publicly traded on stock exchanges! Covert!) in controlled environment and are made up of carbon-carbon bonds as their backbone. Also, polypropylene also called as polypropene is a kind of thermoplastic synthetic polymer which is used in variety of applications such as packaging, labeling, stationery, textiles, plastics and in reusable containers, laboratory equipment and etc. This technology, 'hydrogen technology', is covertly moving us towards slave labour in present and especially future buildings for nuclear power (actually) funded by China, producing nuclear power to be sold cheap to the future eastern empire (evolving new world power? ..who will lead in the technology for solar power), (perhaps that's what batteries like these will actually be used for?) and then sold back to us at a premium price(!); you'll see, as time rolls on. Future generations don't want waste, unnecessary pollution, having to buy replacement products or fashionable and unnecessary upgrades that feed greed, or, slave labour. We want solid assurance, stability, reliability, in effect, a modestly socially beneficial, well levelled economy. I swear, ancients once used solar power made with natural and solidly durable materials, most efficient battery like pure carbon, highly conductive gold, silver, copper, and generating plates of pure crystal which were fired glass; one small solar block would be comparable in weight and provide power 100 x or more what so called latest available technology provides and a reliable vehicle body can be made to compensate for added weight. Dependable complexity lies in simplicity, which is also most economical. It must also be considered that a sizeable portion of our generation would be very happy to be able use older, more traditional forms of transport, i.e. for long distance journeys only, I would rather use a horse on disused railway lines, allocated tracks, widened canal tracks as they once were, re-established old horse tracks, and alongside ancient walkways such as the Pennine Way in England. For shorter journeys, I'd rather use my lightweight gravel bike, thanks very much. Either of these ways, all that would be satisfying and more enjoyable than cars or buses to me! Yes, I do wish for a slower paced life, more breathing space, modest living and closer to nature, plus I love animals and, keeping fit and strong as I did when I was younger and as I might as I grow older, so allow me and others like me :-) If someone has a blind agenda to defend a future based on for-profit industrialised synthetic chemical production, then please don't bother commenting here. However, if someone has no agenda, but an open mind and a drive to research with understanding, what this hydrogen electrolysis technology truly entails including contraindications, then please do comment; I would find your thoughts and any finds most interesting, thanks.
