WYATZ 66: The Wyatt Eddy Story
We're back! I've spent the last year and a half working on the most important story I've ever told. It’s about teenage brothers Wade and Wyatt Eddy, the love they shared for classic cars and how a surfing tragedy has forever bonded their family, friends and SoCal community with an old Ford truck named Elmer.
Unfortunately, I cannot release the full documentary on CZcams since we are entering it in film festivals and their guidelines restrict public release. You can however navigate to my IndieGoGo page, show your support and receive a link to the full 45 minute film. It's the first perk you'll see - Online Access to Documentary. You have waited a long time for more content - I'm excited for you to see this powerful story!

One More Adventure With 81 Year Old Mel and His 1958 Ford F-100
zhlédnutí 27KPřed 2 lety
When I responded to the ad for a 1958 Ford F-100 in Thornton Colorado, I had no idea that the first episode of Rust Bucket Rembrandts was about to unfold before me. All I can say is that old trucks have a way of inspiring new stories. Special thanks to our generous car community: Hair Trigger Customs @ Big O Tires (Castle Rock) @

Thank you for sharing. My Dad bought a '59 brand new for $2300.00. It was his first new vehicle. He was an WWII Army veteran and at 35 was finally able to afford a new vehicle. He passed in 2004 but I still have his truck and have been trying to restore it for many years. Maybe when I am done you can add another story to your channel. Like the commenter below, I was also a Marine and followed my dad's steps in the military and love for this old truck.

Wow! I know that feeling sorta! I have owned my 1969 ford f250 crew since a year old 445 k later its been sitting and waiting for a major rehab. 74 years old, and thinking it's time to start restoration and get it back on the road again. Been driving my 70 Sport Custom to a point that I want the four door back on the road. Lotsa memories and it has been a fun part of my children's lives, doubt either truck will ever leave the family

This is just what I gleaned (besides the salty secretions upon my cheeks) from this vlog, in case like @ek6648 you believe Mel had 'Ol Blue' return to his garage... Mel and Ol' Blue and now Eric whom would be the middle man to take 'Ol Blue' and to foster this F-100, this fine piece of a man's life story in order to facilatate 'Ol Blue' on the journey to locate a new owner and home for many miles and smiles to follow. You see Eric was granted the oppotunity to find a new owner for 'Ol Blue' being it wasn't a good fit for his long frame. Eric then purchased* 'Ol Blue' with a promise to find the right 'New' owner. But first a couple improvements were neccessary. Improvements complete Eric wanted to give Mel one more chance to get behind the wheel and actually have the throttle pushed hard to feel the horses put his spine deep into the seat back. There were many people that made this possible and everyone that has watched this is subscribing to this channel, I know I just did. Such a great way to bring a compelling automotive historical and personal story to our combustion powered hearts. *this aspect of what I thought was the arrangement may be not quite how things worked exactly, but whatever and however 'ol Blue' moves on to the next life that awaits that Rembrant with some well deserved rust, the whole story just was so well captured by 'RBR' ...now I'll be going on to see what else Eric has to peruse, maybe even a follow up as this vlog has been out for some 12 months already.

Wonderful story, such a good deed for the old gent. The '58 was so much like our '59 F100, 3 on the tree, 292 V8. Drove it to high school last day. Would ride in the box while my brother did donuts in a gravel parking lot, late '60s. Good memories, that truck...

Who’s cutting onions here.. this is definitely an emotional video. I’m 40 now, and my dad passed down his ‘57 F100 to me when I was 12. This is the first vehicle I sat behind the wheel of. I drove my ‘57 through high school and throughout my Marine Corps days in the early 2000s. I’m currently building my ‘57 and hope to have it finished so my dad can drive it a few times before his time comes. He’s 72 now my ‘57 is what brought me dad and I together. I can’t wait to have the ‘57 so my boys and my dad can cruise it together. Three generations brought together over one truck. My 1957 Ford F100.

This video brought tears to my eyes. I'm such an old truck lover and am trying to buy a 58 f100 right now to keep forever and pass onto my favorite human being alive. My grandson. Some people will just never understand what our old trucks truly mean to us fellas. I'll take an old tired creaky worn out truck over something new any day
