American Reacts To - How Norway Built An EV Utopia While The U.S. Is Struggling To Go Electric 3/3
Electric powered vehicles are continuing to become more popular in The United States but we're no where are far along as Norway. Norway is the leader in EV's on the road, in fact, almost five out of six new cars sold in Norway last year were powered by battery only; accounting for approximately 82% of vehicles sold in 2023. Through a combination of incentives, benefits and a desire to be fully electric in the near future, Norway is a model country for what can be achieved. There have been issues with the transition that complicates the benefits of an EV. Those kinks however, can be worked out as we progress further. Not just the cars are electric either. Norway has been electrifying its ferries, buses, semi trucks and even construction equipment. Fuel pumps and parking meters are being replaced with chargers too. So what can the U.S. learn from this? That's what we're trying to find out.
** EDIT - I realize I said UV instead of EV in the beginning of this video... Sorry 😂😂

Minute 19:10 - Why do you suppose your doctors are better than ours? Are our doctors stupid? Our university are as good (and some better than yours). Our doctors are as prepared as yours. Our nurses as prepared as yours. Oure drugs are the same as yours. Our exam machines are the same as yours. You pay more not because you have better treatments, but because you have to pay the insurances profit and hospital profits, while we don't Your health care is only more expenses, but your treatments are the same as we all have in the rest of industrialized world

  • @riccardocoletta2398

Minute 18:27 - The simple idea that an insurance can fix "the amount of days you are allowed to stay in hospital" is mental, crazy, dumb. You stay at the hospital the exact number of days a qualified doctor think you need stay and to be ok, end of the story. Insurances shouldn't have any voice on that That is crazy like the fact you have to pay 2000$ for an ambulance. I think that the most expensive ambulance in Europe is around 10 eur (no more than 12-13$) I see "american reacts videso" all the time and when I see all these surprised faces about health care in the rest of the world I think: wait, it's like that all over the world except US... how is it possible that in 2024 you still not know and understand how it works? Is it possible that in 2024 you still don't know how it is the world? Do you really think that the other countries resemble even vaguely US? US is a uniqueness in this, the only country in the entire endustrialized world that send people broke with a single visit to the ER The entire world figured it out but US

there are no socialist countries in europe most are social democrats they believe in a market economy that is well regulated and controled by government to relieve the worst deprivations of a lack of wealth and to make sure the people who benefit most also pay a fair amount back into the system to help the system they benefited from.

If you are not eligible for normal conscript service, the alternatives are e.g. B-battery (the so-called "Palikkabattery" service) which is e.g. transport, packaging and other similar activities. In addition, there is the possibility to perform the so-called civil service, which consists of service related to the support functions of the defense forces. In Finland, all men who turn 18 in the year of conscription receive an "Invitation", which is mandatory. The reserve (by different classifications) includes crew up to the age of 60 and officers and special personnel up to the age of 65.

It is easier to understand the appeal of Socialism when you realize that you are not actually a "Capitalist". A Capitalist does not work. They make passive income from capital they own, and hire workers to make the machines go. If you do not make your income passively you are not a Capitalist. And no, having a few shares in something or a mutual fund does not make you a Capitalist. Owning a small business also does not make you a capitalist because you still work that business. Maybe if you own a few franchises, or rental properties you are a small "c" capitalist. But I bet you still do quite a bit of the work, so no. There are real Capitalists laughing at you with 1,000,000x more value and income than you. So many Americans 100% supppot capitalism without realizing that means you are supporting a few people who do not need your support while harming millions of citizens just like yourself.

I don't give a damn what you are, so long as you are not destroying the folk body. If you are a cultural marxist, creating problems like feminism, critical race theory, and so forth, you are definitely the enemy. If you are a capitalist, and your idea for growth is to ignore all the social problems afflicting the folk body and just focus on bringing in foreigners to supplant us in our homeland, you are the enemy too. The only leadership worth tolerating is that which nurtures and protects the integrity of the folk and allows it to flourish.

Here where I live in Roanoke Virginia there is a super nice men and women and family shelter and they get their money from donations!!! Thank you very very little from any kind of government grant and the majority of it is from the local wealthy people who give away their families furniture if they pass away or they give away old stuff they don't want so they run a thrift store.. the wealthy people donate money like crazy to this place and they are able to run it really well serving three meals a day even to people who don't live there but might have to go there to eat a meal or two a day.. I think that's probably the best form of socialism you can find because that's a community in which the wealthy and the middle class donate a lot to help those who are poor or just going through rough times that aren't long-term

  • @montrelouisebohon-harris7023

I'm a capitalist but I do believe in some social programs like we have here in America where everybody pays into a tax pool & we do get public schools and they seem to be better when I was growing up but I've got friends with grandkids who say the schools are really good.. I think it depends on where you live and we live in Southern Virginia.. The most expensive here in the USA is healthcare and a lot of that is because there's not one politician in DC that's not hooked at the hip with big pharma and that's why it cost so much.. we have a good health care system but other countries do as well but my God they're not nearly as expensive.. We have social benefits here in America also for people who are low income or disabled etcetera and I had a nice fat student loan from going to law school but it didn't cost nearly as much as today and I worked as a lawyer and I'll be damned after about 5 years I got systemic lupus rheumatoid arthritis and FMS and I was in agony. I COULDN'T WORK BECAUSE I WAS IN PAIN AND MY DOCTOR WOULDN'T GIVE ME ANYTHING OTHER THAN PRESCRIPTION NON-STEROIDAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY MEDICINE AND THAT WASN'T CRAP EXCEPT ME MY STOMACH BLEED SO FINALLY AFTER IN PAIN SO MUCH I WAS HAVING SEIZURES THEY GOT ME ON PAIN MEDICINE AND I WAS PUT ON STEROIDS FROM TIME TO TIME AND PLAQUENIL. I was feeling so much better even in pain still but at least I was able to get back to work for about 10 years before I had kidney failure but when I was out of work, you took forever for social security disability because it's a bureaucratic program... I paid into it but it still didn't matter that it took 5 years to get it.. It's ridiculous here in the United States because the bureaucracy is so big and bloated it screws things up and we spend so much money on 438 administrative agencies when we can live with 200 just fine plus the local in state benefit plans that we pay into as well for the most part and finally I got my backpay and I paid off bills and saved all the rest.. sing me after I paid off the rest of my big fat student loan! I like capitalism but I also think that we do need some of the social programs we do have but the problem here in the USA is that they give them to people who aren't even Americans and it depletes our system

I'm afraid to say UK is going this way. Growing up in Scotland in the seventies and eighties I walked to school on my own or with friends from age 5. I took my dog for walks in the woods. I knew where I was allowed to go. You do still see kids walking to school and playing outside on their own but it's not as common as it was. I feel sorry for the kids, it must be so frustrating. We lived in a suburb of a smallish town and walked everywhere as we didn't always have a car, and even when we had one, my Dad was the only driver in the family. I'm sure the police and social services are overjoyed to have their time wasted this way

I am from Germany, living here basically my whole life. There are a lot of things that really annoy me about Germany, but my God am I thankful to be born on this side of the Atlantic Ocean. I can´t really understand, how any person from the US (you are not the only Americans, right!? ;D) can seriously believe, they live in the "greates country" in any consideration.... I mean, besides the points, stated in the video, you don´t have a simple universal healthcare system, something, that leads to (as far as my numbers are up to date) the highest infant mortality rate in the whole western hemisphere (imcluding Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zeeland, basically whole Europe and pretty sure some big parts of the African continent. You babies are at a higher risk of just dropping dead, because parents aren´t able to pay for medical care... for a baby... I mean, seriously, guys, what is wrong with your country? The only things. that you have the freedom to is access to weapons of all sorts to get your kids killed in school shootings, if they survive till then and your big companies are free to exploit you people. You even pay for education... for a basic right according to most places in the world. And then, your education isn´t even good, compared to other countries. Sorry for the rant, but as a human being, as a mother of three kids, as a person working full time... I don´t understand how you can bare to live like this without doing anything about it... Maybe someone can explain it to me!?

about the Danish Pastries, you are actually not going to find them in Austria, and if you do find something similar they call it a "Copenhagener" as in from Copenhagen, it is correct Austrian bakers did come to Denmark and they did teach Danish bakers to make the special dough of many thing layers with butter in between but what you see today in Denmark has developed from that so it is more of a Danish/Austrian mix than an actually Austrian thing, but we do call it "wienerbrød" meaning bread from Vienna

The way the society teach us to despise the lower class is by labelling as lazy, opportunistic and straightforward ignorant by choice. It is not that simple, the narratives in the media, the church, schools and family meetings are not that easy to see, it is not impossible but to be honest is a hard job we need to do in order to reach the level of awareness of such messages. E.g. aspirationalism is actually also a counterforce for the poverty emphaty, instead of inviting you to take a look at other people who dont have their basic needs provided, it only gives you the idea of how cool would be to make that much money.

  • @angelzuniga1057

If you are a youtuber and only you do all the work, you are working class, no matter how much money you get paid for it. But, if you are a youtuber that hires other people to do the work for a salary, you are owner class, in this particular case; the youtuber owns the channel, which basically functions as an intellectual private property to earn money with it (capital), most likely the youtuber would still be working, but that is like an owner of a company that also works as a CEO, the only thing that would change this scenario is if you get to split all the profit earn by the channel with all the pepole that works for the channel for ever, like paying royalties based on how much work they have put into the video that is giving money, this is hard but possible, in fact it is a real mechanism call cooperatives, it is like all the people working for the channel bein owner of the channel itself, in that regard everyone in the team would still be working class, none of you are making money on behalf on anyones work so by definition all the money the team would be earning (even in the millions) would still be made solely by working, socialist societies would have no reason to oppose to this idea, some of the money got from the cooperative would still be taking as taxes and everyone else should be able to join the project getting compensated depending of their work.

Yes in Denmark McD workers make about $3500.00 per month plus all their other benefits, all because their government is looking out for them and passed laws mandating all the above.

When learning about H.C. Andersen, reading his stories, remember that they have a second meaning also. For example the ugly duckling is a story about himself.

As a British person, I cringe when I see Americans punching the air while shouting "USA, USA..." and saluting a flag. It just signifies a lack of self-confidence and a slavish belief in your so called 'freedoms'. Here in the UK and Europe in general we have more confidence in our countries, freedoms and rights and don't indulge in such slavish behaviour. By the way, managers and higher level skilled jobs are also well padi and all workers have much better workers rights.

When I woke up today, I did not expect to tell anyone this, BUT… You are my flavour 😂👍🏼😂 Your voice is calm, and almost soothing.. you don’t stop all the time, so we can hear properly what you’re commenting on.. and you seem to take a genuine interest in the info you’re reacting to.. Job well done ☺️

The big problem with insurance and education in the US, is that there are institutions/businesses that will let the costs spiral out of control because it isn't their problem. In fact it just makes them more money. A huge chunk of your medical bills goes towards administration. In Denmark things just have to work and it makes sense to get it done for the most effective price possible, so it costs less for the same quality treatment. That's why it's possible.
