Wow, its a real good use of tinker's tool ! I was making a 2nd level artificer and i thought about some cool gadget i could make.
Happy to be of help!
Some of these are very campaign dependant. Most monsters don't have a weapon to be disarmed. If you're fighting humanoids it's much more useful. Commanders strike can be amazing if you have a rogue since their sneaky attack will trigger on your turn - it is quite intensive on the action economy though - taking one of your attacks and bonus action to activate. Trip is always the best though.
Also the precision attack chosen before or after the attack roll is added just to that tho... The attack roll so by definition you'd want to always wait.. It doesn't state weather that superiority dice is added to your damage however.
Yup! I am working on a full fighter rework of the class from the ground up, see if I can capture that BA Melee feel. Its taking a bit, but once I have it I will toss up the video.
More Buffy vids please. Had the books sat on my shelf gathering dust for years..
I will see what I can do!
Here are my weapon primary ideas Gunner: Harpoon cannon Engineer: Nail gun Scout: Gyro-jet burst rifle Driller: tesla Coil Zapper
I would like to see a Ghostbusters theme to expand on the Haunted Caves mutator.
the moment you have all hacks, cosmeics, etc it feel you dont need to play any more. im good, i at least 10 time the good you are in this game... but there are no reasons to keep playing
Yay Bronwyn.
For a better fantasy system, one can use BECMI or OSE. Both, as far as I know, are free. They also hold the true spirit of the original D&D rather than the TTJRPG light system that the ever so lame, unimaginative, mentally deficient rhesus monkeys on the coast have put out since 2008.
Speaking of libraries, mines has the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, and Monster Manual. They also have the Essential's Kit. I never asked but im sure they'd let patrons reserve a nice room with a wide table.
Yeah, I tried the Local Library first, But to reserve a room it would have to be open for everyone to use and sign up for. Meaning postings on their website and Facebook group and I cant handle a table more than 5. It was ass backwards and never bothered asking again.
Good stuff.
Good advice. Well thought out!
Thanks, I did a Follow up video for it as well.
I mean we should have seen this coming. Look at Wizards in game they're the only Class that has Microtransactions. It was only a matter of time before they did it the rest of the game!
If you go human you could get the polearm master feat at level 1 and not have to get brace at all since that includes that opportunity attack when someone gets in reach. Freeing up for another maneuver like pushing attack.
Im relatively new to DnD and my level 4 character just grabbed the tinkering tools feat. I needed some inspiration and overall guidance on how to use it so thank you so much! This video helped out a bunch i appreciate it tons
You're most welcome! But dont forget to talk it over with your Dungeon Master first! Tinker Tools are great things and you can do a lot with them, Have a good one and thanks for watching!
it would be nice if they just left the game alone. every update they add tends to break old mods, so it would be cool to just let the playerbase make content while they work on the new game, but it wont work with new minor updates every now and then breaking the mods. Im excited for the new DRG game though.
I made a video of things for season 5 and 6. I honestly think a Glyphid focused season would be great. Bring in the Unused Zone called Caustic Mire and have a Queen Glyphid. Also, WTF is an Error Cube. They aren't done with DRG by a long shot. so much more that they could do.
They just keep making bad decisions first was rockpox and instead of fix it they just let you disabled it but still force you to play the entire battle pass that takes forever to finish. Also is basically the same content as last season with some skins and a bad designed miniboss slapped in. And now hearing they will focus on this new game and basically left the other game in this terrible state until june to see if hopefully they will fix the issues and make something that is actually fun to play and doesn't feel like a chore. And honestly I personally doubt about what they can and I hope the game improves by a lot and I understand the frustration of some people. No gaming company is exclude for making mistakes but what set the difference between one and the other is the care they put to adress the issues for the community. Btw I dont play the game anymore it feels like a chore trying to finish the battlepass.
I do hope the new game is good so I can play with some friends again and enjoy what it has to offer but I doubt I'll come back to drg. I don't have enough time to play 2 games simultaneously.
I think your take and the argument from this video will eventually be vindicated in time. I uninstalled in October after the announcement came out for the exact same reasons as Unlimited. I have no interest in Rogue Core despite roughly 400 hours on Deep Rock, which has pushed disappointing updates since late 2022. Pure "rogue-like" experiences just aren't as enjoyable as the "rogue-lite" of DRG and others. The community seems disinterested in looking at the user numbers declining on Steamcharts, and the increasingly negative (yet constructive) comments on how bad the game has become following Season 3's rockpox addition. Missions became longer, yet less fun, because seasonal rewards were largely linked to rockpox events. This is, of course, unless you didn't want to finish the passes and avoided rockpox zones entirely, which would slow your progress down. The issue wasn't even addressed until they added a way to disable it, but again you lose access to seasonal content. Compare this to the first two seasons, where we had many new weapons and equipment types added, a new game mode, unique robot enemies and bosses, graphics upgrades, and a new resource. These were highly impactful updates and really brought me into the game, and the battle pass pretty much was guaranteed to max out just by playing the game regularly. Buying the supporter packs in mid 2023, hoping for better results, is one of my biggest game content regrets ever, considering months later they pulled a lot of their support from the game. The devs literally owe me support of their game, so where's my money going? At least DLC would get me an actual benefit in game, this does nothing for me now. What other game can go two years without new weapons and have people defend this as justifiable? (The last new weapons were added in April 2022) Beyond the failures of imagination and lack of meaningful updates, what's very annoying about all of this is that criticism is highly censored. You can see this clearly on Steam from CMs like Dwarfurious, as well and their official discord. There was absolute mayhem in the comments when they made the Rogue Core announcement and the CMs went on damage control. In my case, posting "Game's dead. Everyone here is in denial because they fixed some inconsequential things" in the most recent update notes, since it popped up in my Steam library. This led to a warning for "spamming" and a CM berating me on my IQ and for posting "low effort" takes in the warning comments. I told him to kiss my you-know-what in response to the warning. Most positive reviews are memes with "rock and stone!" in them, where many negative reviews become intense debates between reviewers and players who claim things like "games don't need updates to be good" when it's a live service game competing with many similar titles and has a declining userbase since early 2023 (unless you trust the Ghost Ship numbers that can't be verified and could easily include Gamepass players).
I mean, it's a small studio and frankly we have been spoiled by how many content updates we have gotten. All for FREE. I can't think of another studio who deserves to be cut a little slack than Ghostship. They gotta keep the lights on, and keep their good employees!
... it isn't dead, so many people still play it, ROCK AND STONE YOU BEAUTIFUL DWARFS!
death? nah A DWARF NEVER DIES
I just don't understand this mentality people have where a game isn't fun unless it's receiving endless updates. For every single game I've ever bought, I purchased them "as-is", with the expectation that I'd get my money's worth if a game can provide a good ~100 hours of entertainment from what's already there without any mods or future updates. And I have every time. Some of my games have literally never received any updates since I purchased them - doesn't mean they stopped being fun to play. I think it's unreasonable to expect endless updates from any game except in the case of live service games where the user-base is actively paying an annual subscription. Deep Rock Galactic might call their updates "seasons" and include a "battle pass" with them, but it's not actually a live service - these features are free. Did people just forget what "boredom" is? You'll get bored of any game after playing it for so long, and so will I - it's just an inevitability. That doesn't mean a game is suddenly "dead" because you've had your fill, it means it's time to move on to something else. Bottom line, I spent a grand total of $10 on this game (sale price) and I got my money's worth multiple times over. Once I eventually get bored of playing it, I'll move on. The devs don't owe me anything more.
I would have happly paid for their season pass and their side cosmetics as well for more content for this game, this is why I did buy everything they put out. Believing they would keep supporting the game with a steady flow of content. Especially when it comes to the GSG Support packs.
So they fool us thinking the skins were to support the game but it was actually a donation to the company to make new games? Also drg it does feel like a live service game with a battlepass put in, no single player campaign and the fact that you need to play online without mods that change the core gameplay of the game to play multiplayer (not everyone has friends who are willing to play the game whenever you want) giving the fact that the main selling point of the game is co op teamwork which is the thing that makes the game truly shine.
@@MrSoso1050 Browsing the game's DLC on Steam, the only one that mentions supporting the development of DRG specifically is the "Supporter Upgrade" DLC released in 2018. The game has gotten 5 more years of updates since, and is still continuing to get more even if they're releasing at slower intervals. I'd say that counts as "supporting the game". The descriptions of all of the other DLCs simply state that you get some cosmetic items - nothing more, aside from the "Supporter 2 Upgrade" released earlier this year, whose description does indeed state quote: _"...this pack is for those of you who really want to support Ghost Ship Games and our future developments..."_ Fair points about the live service parts.
i talked to the art designer a lil bit on that day when they announced, they straight up said MANy times, that they will not stop work on DRG, they are splitting it half and half, and plus we wont be "stuck" with S4 until june, did you even read any of the goddamn news from the devs
I like Deep Rock Galactic but I got kinda bored of it after the 100 hour mark. Don't get me wrong, the game is still fun but not for a sisyphean amount of time. Now as a fan of Risk of Rain 2, I feel like a rouglike DRG would work very well, it would make it more rewarding to get op build as you would have to work for the items as oppose to looking up the current meta pick and going through a user interface (a very good user interface mind you). I also never really got the "daily chalenge grind" form of progression, I guess I'm just not hip with the kids anymore, but I can certainly get behind a good rougelike, so Rouge Core will be a really good alternative for people who love the gameplay loop of carry minerals and shoot bug in mine but want a fresh take on it. Rock and stone!
This can't be anything but bait, if so hats of to you for making it into people's algorithm. I don't understand your argument about Rogue Core at all. First you say a DLC would divide the player base so GSG opted out of it-which would not have separated the playerbase at all might I add-and then go on to say that a new game still within the thematic universe of DRG will do so? I'm very confused at this logic as firstly, why would people that don't play DRG play a DRG related title separately? And even if they would, that would be a great influx of possibly new players for base DRG. Secondly, why would veteran players of DRG abandon it in favor of a rogue-like DRG related title....instead of just playing both? I've got 600+ hours and still find plenty of time to play various other games so I doubt this would be an issue. I'm unsure as to when this was recorded because the following point about Rockpox being a pain in the ass, which admittedly it can be, was already addressed extremely well by GSG in the last post about the November maintanence patch-again, I'm struggling to see where these arguments make sense if they've already been invalidated. The following point just leaves me sort of stumped. Do you expect a growing studio/company to NOT invest into new titles? If their resources were stretched thin I might agree with you but I really don't think GSG has much to worry about on the front of creatively expanding into different games, in fact I'd say the majority of the DRG community agrees and supports this decision, kinda just feels like your voicing your opinion as the opinion of the majority. The Steam Charts honestly made me laugh a little because I haven't seen a more meaningless comparison ever...and then you immediately said yourself it picked back up as if that wouldn't invalidate your entire point! Veteran players will most likely play DRG for years to come. Not accounting for the extremely good reputation DRG has, or the huge amount of large Content Creators that have been highlighting it as the outstanding game it is-there's still the element of long time players inviting new players into the community. The game, from a beginners perspective, is virtually endless and jampacked with content...are you really going to compare yourself with 1000+ hours to the average player with maybe less than 50? Again, I feel like you're talking about a 0.1% minority here as if they were 100% of the players. Not releasing new content for a FPS game for 1-2 years is not a death sentence, that is the longest reach I've heard in a while. If DRG was a hyper-competitive E-Sports orientated team-based PvP based shooter I could maybe see your point but you're comparing apples and potatoes. There are a ton of games like L4D2, TF2, Insurgency and the list goes on-that all have had years in between any significant content releases that have active and thriving communities. I'd honestly like to point out how coddled gamers in todays age are. You're speaking about GSG as if they should worship the ground you walk on for your measly 20 bucks. It's a succesful company that has succeeded with a product and has been very open in working with it's community. WE are the lucky ones to get this VIP treatment from a company that COULD just do whatever they thought was best without referring to their players. I cannot stress this enough. They made a product. You bought it. They do not owe you anything. They choose to listen and interact with their playerbase directly and actively because they know that is how they will keep their players and add to their playerbase as well as produce a better game for them. It's a smart business choice as well as just being humble about the position they're in. Dogging on them for wanting to expand and give us MORE than we asked for? Quite tone deaf if you ask me. Overall: Can't agree to a single point you made. I don't think any of the "issues" you brought up will seriously affect DRG and that it's more likely to be that Rogue Core will either be a success or at worst a mediocre release. I really don't get why gamers are so coddled now and think they're entitled to all these strange priviliges as if game devs should grovel before their players. Be happy you got 1k+ hours out of a game, that's more than rare with games these days. This just HAS to be Doompost bait-imagine missing the nodes that often tho LUL
a whole year is not that bad man
Isn't DRG a completed game?
Meanwhile TF2 lasting years without even a mention:
You're not very bright, are you?
I think you are being silly on purpose
If tf2 can survive so can Drg
man, this truly is an embarrassingly bad take. games like team fortress 2 survived 6 years without any major non-seasonal content drops, DRG will be fine having to wait a year or so for each update
People still play Counter-Strike 1.6 ffs.
Lmao seems a bit over reacting imo. Yeah it sucks but also ghost ship isnt a triple a dev to continually feed us content. They like to make games that they think are fun so if they wanna make a new game, thats fine since thats what they want to do. Their not another triple a making a game or dlc with the sole purpose of squeezing money out of its playerbase. Im sure whatever tbey make will be fun, even if im not into rogue likes but claiming this will be the death of drg seems too much of an overreaction. Ive seen "dead" games still have a strong playerbase and drg id say has already a strong community. Itll definitely be a lul in the player population but i guarantee you this game isnt going to die and ghost ship games wont lose their fans.
a game with 20k recurring players is well above the die by being forgotten threshold, even if that gets cut down to 10k, even if it was 5k, that said, I didnt like the season and uninstalled 2-3 days after it came out, came back last week and I don't enjoy it as other horde shooters anymore, just to clarify that I'm not one of those weird manchild fanboys of DRG also anthem has nothing to do with this what the fuck, i think for now ghostship games has shown that they're not corporate activision blizzard devils of some sorts, I get the sentiment of not trusting any other company because they're greedy bastards that'll release another cinematic game and call it original stuff, but gsg is ok for now
doomposting is more unhealthy for drg than whatever gsg decides to do or not do
Here's me, still playing Heroes of the Storm years after all updates were completely shut down. You're just hyping up dude
I'm hyped for the new game, overclocks and PVE are what I love in DRG and it seems that the new game will focus solely on that. I feel like the objectives can drag a little in DRG, I would probably play more if it were just a wave based shooter.
Am i psychopath? I kinda like the rockpox thing, the enemies are not that fun when they are in large numbers. But overall, I think its pretty sweet. Harold is an ass though, is can eat my breach cutters.
Not agreeing at all with you there, whether you like it or not they're expanding the IP and that is great, OG DRG is going to be just fine and they made the right call creating a whole new game solely for the rogue like element. Splitting the playerbase you say? It seems to me that they do not want to mess with the OG game specifically in order to avoid splitting the playerbase, you like the objective based, mining/collecting, swarm fighting? Get DRG. You like the Rogue-like/lite element and a completely different experience than the OG game? Get RogueCore. This way you can have the good old DRG experience whenever you want, intact and preserved, AND ALSO the brand new game to it's full potential without being held back because of the OG limitation. No new content/content update is not a bad thing in my opinion, the game already has so much of it they could end it right there and it would be perfect. I feel like people nowadays are forgetting something about video games they're expecting every game to last forever but they're not supposed to, I want devs to take risks and try new things, I don't want them to milk the same game over and over until it becomes a shadow of what it once was.
TF2: First time?
BRO IS ONTO NOTHING 🔥 🔥
BRO IS ONTO NOTHING 🔥 🔥
I admit, I’m pretty upset about it, but this does seem slightly hyperbolic. This season has been the weakest, and the wait is grim, but I’ve been playing since before it had seasons. I am used to this sort of thing. And for a game that is still fun, and still supported, this is not the end.
Death? Dude the game is gonna be fine
Game is still being supported, we're just not getting as frequent content updates. Not that big of a deal, honestly, especially considering the seasonal passes and content are free. I personally paid for the game before the game even had seasons and was happy with what was in the game at that time. To expect them to continuously support the game despite me not paying them more is selfish. I'm personally excited at the prospect of a rogue-lite co-op game from them, so they will be getting money that they wouldn't be getting otherwise, at least from me.
Rockpox is fine.
Did you seriously try to compare DRG to the disaster that was Anthem?
People just dont understand what a healthy relationship with games as a service is supposed to be. Yes the game is endless but that doesn't mean you should play it like your main/only game forever. After you unlocked and did everything and play for 100s of hours, all you have left to do is play new updates, no game company is going to be able to release one every other month, especially indie ones. Take a damn break and go play other games for a while. This the same shit i see in the Warframe community and in other games like this.
DRG has had over 5 years of updates, and will still get support, just no new seasons. The value of the game isn't in shiny new stuff every 6 months; it can stand perfectly well on gameplay alone, and the community that enjoys it. Honestly trying to claim this game is dying because the seasonal updates got sidelined for some extra projects just sounds like cheap clickbait.
Then the Devs shouldnt have said that DRG Wouldnt be sidelined for other games. Maybe they should have kept Rogue Core as a DLC Pack for the base game and not a whole second game. I had high hops for the long staying power of DRG cause I had faith in Ghost Ship. They shouldnt have said that the game wouldn't be sidelined.
The death of DRG but new players have enough content for years and experienced players being nice enough to take them in. I think the making of Rogue Core is great. The Devs have way more freedom to do whatever they want and try to make a new game bit with interesting as good if not better mechanics. Deep Rock will always be anew game, but the decision of moving on isn't bad. I mean look at Destiny 2... They wanted to stick with the live service for a little too long.
whinning the video also with a loud title also if you bring up steam charts and contente release gaps then maybe the game is just not for you and you happened to get into it on a hype train
