Raw footage. Also, along for the ride, a BMW R1100GS, a KTM 950 Adventure, and two DRZ400's. First, riding out of Wilkinson, we climbed until we hit snow. Then we headed south to Ashford, then Skate Creek Road. In mid-May, it's still a bit early here as we hit snow above 4000ft.

Why noisy?
The sliding surfaces are hard plastic as opposed to rubber. It calmed down after a few hundred miles. I no longer notice any drive noises that are excessive. It's a good quality part, and I still recommend it.

Paulsons in lacey used to sell Rickman,kind of a budget RM or CR? The only Harley I like is the VRod and it's not even a real Harley...lol
Paulson's was blowing out those 125's for $399.
They used to race flat track in Tenino ,when is this event?
I haven't heard about flat track racing in Tenino. However, they still race in Rainier, the next town headed north on hwy 507. The swap meet is usually the 3rd Fri and Sat in August, located in the city park.

The buyer on those was waffling at $500. As soon as I heard the asking price and expressed interest, the guy instantly opened his wallet and coughed up the dough!

They usually run an ad on Craigslist in the motorcycle parts section. Other than that its mostly word of mouth.

Damn, I didn't even know about this event as it is just down the road from me. I could have taken my 78 FXE hardtail down and sold it...
It would have sold for sure. Shovelheads are good sellers at that event. Usually 3rd week in August, Friday and Saturday.
I just mounted a set of these following your technique. It was still a bear but I got it to work. My rear tire was harder than my front. I didn't need any clamps on my front tire. But I did use your clamp technique on the rear. Thanks for posting this video. It really helped.

It's the Tenino, Wa. motorcycle swap meet. Held in the park usually 3rd week of aug. always on the net. Camping spots in the park. Oregon trail days 2nd week of aug also.

Harley nowadays ain't what it used to be. back when that's when Harley meant something first Harley-Davidson I ever owned was the 49 Panhead I miss that bike Shoulda never sold it😢
I get it. That's why I'm trying to hang on to that Pan Chopper as long as I can kick it over.
@@CrustyCycle9317 I changed my 49 pan to an electronic ignition and got rid of the points and it would kick over like a moped first try every time I should have kept it I got that bike when I was 20 years old I'm 56 now I sold it when I was 48 the guy I sold it to it's in his garage just sitting there collecting dust😢

You're correct. The black machine I was selling has a Hornet motor.

If you're referring to the 550T, I don't, but I'll keep an eye out for it.
With the exception of a few factory OHV race bikes in the 20's and 30's all Indians are/where flat heads. The blue Indian is a 1948 Chief. Last year of the girder fork (46-47-48) and first year for front wheel driven speedometer.
Now that you mention It, I guess I don't need to call them flathead, kind of goes without saying. Thanks for the info.

We sold a fair amount of parts and accessories, but all my bikes came home. Overpriced, British bikes are really soft right now. Next time!
Looks fun, but I don't miss my Milwaukee vibrator shovelheads. These events are a good way to rub elbows and meet others. Currently riding a Honda VTX 1800R.
I really enjoy them even though I can't afford a knucklehead.

you ever heard that old saying- a fool and his money will part? any body that thinks a junk knuckle head is worth 47 thousand dollars is an idiot, they wasn't worth the 600 dollars that they cost new, and now it ain't worth 47 hundred but there still asking 2 see if there are any fools out there, funny thing is nobody's going 2 buy it so next year they can ask twice as much 4 it...
Yeah, it's amazing what they ask for those machines. One thing is for sure, I won't be buying it...
It always works like the flea market. Haul some absolute junk out of the wrecking yard, call it a classic, and charge like it's all in one piece and restored! So many junk yard rejects it's pitiful. And that old Honda near the end wasn't even cleaned up for 3,500! Insanity.
@unionrdr Yes, However, my experience is that if it isn't a smoking deal, it's not gonna sell. Motorcycle swap meats are usually super fun to attend and there's always some kind of good deal hiding in there.You just gotta find it and I think that's the fun part.

Just bought a '07 Dyna. So many ghost in the electrical system/computer, that I am thinking about selling it already after riding it 60 FEET! Yep you read that right. Rode from one end of the driveway to the garage. My '01 Dyna, no problems.
Yeah, I was considering dumping out of mine too. I was very discouraged. I've ridden it about 1200 miles since I made the video, no more issues. They're 100% reliable, until they're not. I'll sell the dang thing before I take it to an authorized dealership. I have to figure it out. What makes it even harder is all the electrical modules are "obsolete". Maybe take a step back, have a beer, sleep on it. Look at it again with fresh eyes 👀 Good Luck 👍
And this shows exactly why my Transalp will never see a set of these tires. I don't care how much cheaper they are, how well they grip or how many miles they will last, if you can't spoon them on/off on the trail to change a tube out because they're so stiff they're worthless.

Never had a chance to hit any single track or atv trails at walker, only always hit all the jeep and sxs trails. Beautiful up there.
The single track is definitely changing in places.
