I have a feeling to leave the church. I want to live a life free according to my will. But I can't because I remember my covenants and promises made to our Heavenly Father. He wants me to live and walk in a strait and narrow path. He wants me to endure to the end.

As to your point, science is separate from religion in the notion that science is irrefutably data driven conclusions on the back of endless scrutiny from your peers. Religion, ultimately, is a matter of faith. Both have their value to society but people like you enjoy muddying the definitions in some weird combination of ego and ignorance. Of course science has explanations and rationalizations to man’s inner conflict. Anywhere from stress psychology to the entire concept of “self actualization” proves that science has tried tirelessly to answer questions on man’s desire to feel “whole.” It just happens that science tends to deal with what’s measurable, the “how” or the “what” of a matter. On the other hand philosophy and religion deal with questions of human nature, morality, and existence. You’re basically shaking your fist at a toaster for not being a dishwasher when you complain about science not investigating questions of self fulfillment. You either want “science to be a religion” or you don’t want them to talk about these things. Pick a side and stop being dumb. TL;DR: you’re painfully ignorant on what science is and you act qualified to talk about shit you obviously know nothing about.

I really appreciate this woman's openness about her background and what she went through. I do disagree with where this path has taken her in the sense that I think she threw the baby out with the bathwater. About half of the people who leave the LDS church become atheist because they have been burned by the church and vaguely have the belief that if the LDS church is not true then nothing can be true. But it does not logically follow that. Just because the LDS church is a lie that there is no God. I think the evidence for a created universe in the existence of God is pretty strong in the historical evidence concerning Jesus Christ is also strong.

What I have discovered over a lifetime of service is that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is the only true path to eternal happiness. It is pretty special. If you are slipping in your testimony, just read The Book of Mormon: Another Terstament of Jesus Christ again. That is what it is there for, to rekindle faith.

No question, many leaders and members over the past 200 years of The Church of Jesus Christ, have mistakenly interjected their opinions as doctrine, like most of polygamy and the ban on the priesthood, but the basic teachings of Jesus of loving, serving and forgiving one another, are true and aren’t just natural to humans, they’re taught and learned. I stay active in the church because I know it’s right and true, but keep an open mind and reject false teachings and traditions, from all religions.

I left the LDS church 6 years ago, glad to be out, I also left behind any belief in Christianity or any religion. I am pretty much an agnostic now. I also left behind being judgmental another person’s belief system.

I felt the burning of the bosom watching 'Frozen' and an old movie called "Planes, Trains and Automobiles' I also felt the burning of the bosom in songs like 'Bohemian Rhapsody'... The same warm fuzzies appear as random sometimes, as when one has to fart; it appears that these emotions are created by the body, inside the brain, and sometimes this can be random, spontaneous.

I to stepped away from the church 27 years ago. I have since come back to this faith and Yes... It was and is the right move to make. Ex Mormon people like this blasting a faith to anyone who will listen to her own downfall. This church does good world wide in ways no other church has. She has fallen from a spiritual belief into a personal spiritual loss of right from wrong. I have watched many of her videos and I will say this, she is wrong in blasting Mormons who are very good people and who attempt to live good life according to the laws of God in the name of his son Jesus Christ. She once had a countenance about her and now is gone to oblivion in none belief. This is the devils work you are watching... attacking Mormons in her coy way. In Mormonism, she never encountered Jesus Christ, though they use his name in the title of their cult. There is Truth beyond what you know and what you don't know. You need to know Him, not a feeling in your body or a concept that says ultimate Truth is unknowable and there is only virtue in the not knowing.

I would agree she has never experienced God because the Mormon God is not real. I can understand why she is an atheist. As a Catholic, I can say with surety there is God and I hope someday she opens her heart to get to knowing the Him.
