One of my first lessons in building came at the Atlanta zoo -50+ years ago. Standing in line for the school bus and watching a brick mason with bricks soaking in a bucket. He said "Dry bricks = dry, weak, powdery cement. Keep your cement wet as long as you can !" The dome looks great !!! -KJ

18:40 I don't recommend fiberglass insulation because the fiberglass emits very tiny glass particles which cause lung problems. What's better to use are thick Styrofoam panels on ceiling and walls for maximum insulation and it's safe.

Dunno what you tried to explain. Foam wrapped in 6ml 4 tires high 3ft from tire wall. No backfill detail or video to tie in the concept. Thanks Stimpy

My problem in the Philippines is God damned termites and other boring critters. I like building with wood and I dont like hempcrete. I like the ability of wood to moderate humidity swings. Any cellulosic material will do this. You have given me a great idea. Add the bare minimum amount of lime and use it as insulation infill behind the wood panneling..

Beautiful work amazing video especially because you reveal the real truth which is that you don’t have to kill yourself pounding Tyres! Ive built five earth ships and I’ve done it with children of eight years old and even an elderly lady of 76 who was quite capable of finishing off Tyres using her own genius method of a small hammer and a stick! I made a video a while ago during Covid when I got stranded in Portugal and I was having to do about 50 tires by myself in beating hot sun so I also found much easier way and here’s a link to that video which is as you say quite easy to do and then also I managed to finish it off really with very minimal effort too! Just wondering, have they figured out the issue of the walls when the tires start to balls because of a compression, I’ve watched several people who are the second owners of a new ship home having to redo the walls because they say the tires are studying the bulge and ruin the walls and they have to redo them?

Be wise - visit an EARTHSHIP and see if you can smell rotten rubber tires... I hate to rain on your parade... her nose could smell the tires - that means no tires - concrete blocks work... alternatives to consider.

My earthbag home has withstood 2 California earthquakes, and 2 fires ! Zero damage ! It exceeds any codes !
