Task Force Exodus is a realism based Arma 3 military Simulation unit. TFE's roots are based in a relaxed community structure out of game but a realistic, extremely serious and mature play style in game. We accomplish this by treating TFE as a welcome-to-all gaming community where members can join and play a wide variety of games with their friends, while leaning heavily on our veteran ran community to simulate real military tactics, techniques, and procedures. If you are a participating member of TFE you are expected to maintain a 18+ maturity level and remain fully immersed in your role during detachment operations. At it's core TFE is a US military Special Operations Task Force which portrays elements from all Department of Defense Branches. The elements include units from AFSOC, RRC, NSW DEVGRU, MARSOC, JSOAC, CAG, UKSF 22nd SAS, and CIA MID elements. The Task Force spans across four days and has various "off-night" events in between detachment operations.

Do you think something similar with an AC-130 Spooky 2 Gunship might be possible? I'm honestly wondering how the phraseology differs for it with regards to a regular fixed-wing.
Would you recommend Arma 3 over DCS in order to practice JTAC stuff?

Is there a reason your calling Type 2 control on targets you cant see? I understand Type 2 the most common with 9-Lines but I thought with Type 2 you as the JTAC must have visual on the target. So what Im basically asking is why did you not call Type 3 control on the targets on that convoy in the ASR.
That’s actually an old misconception. Type 3 and 2 are the exact same restrictions. The only difference is type three you are cleaning for multiple passes, where type 2 I am clearing for one. The requirements for type 2 and 3 are you see the target or the aircraft OR(this is the one people leave out) have accurate target data from a reliable source. Not sure where that started but we hear it a lot.

As a TACP it is crazy how much civilians learn about the 12 steps of CAS. I’ve seen a ton of arma 3 gameplay of civilians playing JTAC and it’s Pretty good cadence for not going to JTACQC
Finally a way for me to do my old job without needing to worry about my health issues. I wish I found this sooner. 22 STS, CCT, 2001-2005 (1999-2006 for total years before med retired)
We’ve got the same feedback from a lot of vets in our community. In fact they aren’t perfect reps(obviously it’s a game) but it does help those currently in(including myself) gets reps on the radio and sim CAS situations.

I'm not finding anything on the Steam workshop. Tried variations of "handheld IR laser pointer" as keywords. I wonder if it could be a feature of something else like a melee mod that slots other objects into the sidearm space. Or, perhaps it's just a small custom in-house mod for this group. I'm also curious though if others know.

I have the server on a spare pc with a different Steam account than my main account (the alternative account doesn't have Arma3), how can I still add the mods? (It's dedicated)
I would have to look at your setup. But on your alternate you need to download faster arma 3 plugin (google it and you’ll find it) there’s ton of information on how to work it and you don’t need to buy Arma for that second account
