We recently had a blocked outside drain pipe blocked with sh*t coming back out in the garden,and now, one week later there is sewer smell coming from under the house.( all cleaned and pipe was pressire washed) Do you have any ideea why that could happen? Thank you!

Great video. I am planning to replace an old timber floor with a concrete one. There are gas pipes and numerous cables currently running under the floor. Is it safe or advisable to pour concrete directly on top of these utility lines? What precautions or steps should be taken to ensure the integrity and safety of the pipes and cables during this process? Ayup mate just in the process of buying a house 2009 the previous owners had the bottom load bearing chimney removed in the kitchen (end of terrace house) we have had a survey done and the surveyor said he could not find a reinforcement……. So there’s a chimney breast and stack upstairs but the ground floor has been removed just looking for some advice on how I would find out if there is a support im only down the road from you in Stafford any advice would be much appreciated cheers Ryan

Quick question - I have a hallway wall that has raising damp on both sides. Does the plaster for the 1st 1.2/5m's need to come off on both sides for the rods to work? Or just one side as it's essentially the same brick wall! Thanks!

Can this be done for a traditional pitch style roof bungalow? I dont think my roof is the same layout as I have thinner, taller beams of wood in V shape support roof structure with what looks like 6x2 across the ceiling wall to wall.

Thanks for the great video. I'm investigating an old bungalow that has a musty smell. I've had time and discovered the damp readings on hygrometers can improve but go right back up again with wet weather. I've just bought a pointless moisture meter and found all wooden window sills and other wood is damp at the lower joins. I'm still investigating as I can't afford to chuck money at tradesmen making the wrong diagnosis. The plumbing and the roof has been checked. The eaves were re done there was loose lime/cement. I'll be checking all your videos for tips thanks.

Always follow manufacturers instructions when using insulation products and comply with building regs. In the event of a fire and if someone gets injured or killed not only will the insurance be invalid you will be held responsible! You Tube videos from the manufacturers are the first place to start along with the technical data sheet.

Is there a difference between PIR insulation being installed below or above the concrete slab? It looks like this video has the insulation above the concrete slab but my drawings have it underneath.
