I spent a day watching dolphins in the Bay of Islands, in a town called Paihia. Unfortunately we didn't get to swim with them as they were traveling, and the boats are only allowed to follow them for a half an hour.

When we drove back the tide had gone down a bit already. The water came up all the way to the shore when we first drove through it.

After camping for a few days on the beach I got a ride back into town. To say the least we got in a bit of trouble when the engine got flooded by the ocean water rushing into the car. That's what you get for driving through high tide eh? But at least they got their beer, which was the emergency haha.

+Michelle Webb It would have been shortly before uploading this video, so somewhere around the 20th of June. This video was made in the morning. I was there the night before as well, I have a video of that too I believe. That evening there was absolutely nobody there, and it was one of the most beautiful scenes I've ever witnessed: clear skies, clear blue water, a golden sunset reflecting on the water, and just silence. Loved it.

Too bad. This year has been incredible for jumping.
Probably not gonna happen unfortunately, I've been back in Holland for nearly a year now, and will spend next year in New Zealand. Would love to come back to Canada though!
Yes, it's a GoPro Hero 2. I haven't had that much trouble keeping it charged, mostly because I tend to go in and out of nature and never stayed outside of towns for too long. In the cases where I was away a bit longer, I always had a secondary battery to exchange. If you plan on hitchhiking, you might try a USB charger for cars, though how much you want to show off expensive stuff in the presence of strangers is ofcourse up to you.
hey man, awesome vid. I take it you use a gopro? I'm planning on embarking on a 3 month hiking trip in the new year and I'd like to vlog every day, how do you got about keeping that camera charged?
My god ... I've been living in Bergen for 6 months and I miss Norway a lot. Really. Such a good place to travel !!

Yes I am, though I am not entirely sure about when or where just yet. Still trying to save up some money, it took the longest of time to get my finances going again.

Yep I did. I managed to get from the Canadian border to Salt Lake City in two days, and got to Moab a day or two after that. I wanted to get away from the cold and snow lol :)

Haha yeah it is. I keep thinking I will shave it off, but then I'm like 'naah, let's see how long it can get' :p It's not always easy though lol. As to when I go back home I'm not sure yet, it might be somewhere in spring I guess. I still have a lot to do.
Well this water right there should be the safest water to drink considering it's glacial water, and most likely will not have been contaminated by anything. With regular rivers and such, with water that has traveled a long distance already, it's hard to say what might have happened to it. There might be a dead animal floating around somewhere upstream for instance. That chance is less high with water coming straight down from a glacier, but it is never without risk to drink 'wild' water.
Is it safe to just drink that water?
