I like how she is reading the news in a 60s TV show about the future. The video is extraordinary (not to decry the song itself, which is lovely).

As there are no comments, I’ll leave one for the listener: this is great! I think it’s a shame Don and Walter didn’t succeed as hitmakers, I can hear The 5th Dimension performing this song. The marimba is unusual in a pop song, brings Zappa to mind (although he would scoff at the simplicity of this).

Pop perfection.

This is their best song, but man is it also so incredibly underrated and amazing. Broadcast will always be the coolest band I've had the pleasure to listen to.

First heard this on Deep Cuts' Warp Records playlist on Spotify. Something about Trish's vocals stood out from the rest, and I've remembered it ever since. Last night, I dreamt up a hypothetical lyric video, and I'd like to make it someday.

i remember when this album came out i thought "huh this is different for Warp..." and i'll admit this album took awhile to grow on me and this song in particular to me is now one of my all time favourite songs. i've loved seeing them live. R.I.P. Trish.
