I want a Trail 125 because my grandpa had a Trail 90 when I was a kid and remember riding on the back with him. He passes in 1969 so I only have a few memories of him.
I have a 2019, the perfect motorcycle for me.
It should called the Street 400😂 The parts are there to make a 400X out of a Speed.
Do they make a wi d shield for it ?
Yep! Tons of options available on the WeBike Japan website.
I’ve ridden both. I went with the SuperCub. It’s great around my small town. I’m a short guy and it feels more comfortable than the trail version
Super Cub Duh. The honda Trail looks like a hunk of shit. I know it's a great bike but the design is just gross looking lmao. It looks dirty for no reason 😂. Sorry to hate.

Nice looking bag! Have you looked at the Triumph rugged pannier bag? Supposedly that one is up to 25 L of storage, which would be nice. From pics it looks like it's got a molle system on the sides to attach more items. Love seeing different storage options. Still looking at buying one of these Scrambler 900s myself in the next year or so, so I appreciate being able to watch you try different things with yours to figure out what's going to work for me when the time comes
I considered that bag. It honestly seemed too big. If I were to properly pack it out, it would be a lot of weight only to one side. This and a tail bag seems like better weight distribution. Thanks for watching all of these!
Researching this bike is what brought me to your channel. I really liked your real life errand review method, energy, and your illustration of how you fit on the bike. I’m looking for a good all-arounder that’s gravel road capable. This one is looking good! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching. I appreciate you. Sounds like this would be a great option for ya, especially if you don't want to go the full ADV bike route.
Good choice sw motech is some of the best you can get. Supporting you from afar my fellow creator!
I've used a lot of their crash protection in the past, but I'm excited to have their luggage now. Thanks for watching!
Would have liked to compare these two bikes with the 1971 K1 Honda Trail 90 I had with the Powroll 125 stroker kit. Took it from a bog standard old Trail 90 and made it a super sleeper. Unfortuantely, it was otherwise a 6 volt 1970 Honda with all the lighting weaknesses, carburetor and points and condensor ignition, and needed anti-ping gas additive.
Too funny.
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it.
I found a dealer in Medford Oregon that was awesome to work with. I pre-ordered 3. I just received my 3rd CT125.
Some guys have all the luck 😋. Thanks for watching. I appreciate you.
@@Dailycozwerks i placed the order 2 years ago. Just had to be patient.
I just bought one and noticed the fan to keep the engine cool activates frequently and is also significantly noisy. I was surprised by this as nobody mentioned it in the countless reviews that I watched. Does anyone else notice this and is it bothersome for you?
That is a thing with all of the Triumph modern classics actually. They are tuned to turn the fan on fairly early just to keep the engine as safe as possible and the fan definitely aren't the quietest. You eventually learn to tune it out though.
You're right on all points. I bought the Scrambler 400 x two weeks ago, and have done my first 1k on it . I love it, but I am a brand new rider, and this is my first bike. So something that is more powerful would be a bit scary for me at this early point in my riding journey, as I am still finessing my throttle control and learning basic riding skills. But even with that, the very short 1st and 2nd gears were instantly noticeable for me. I stopped using 1st gear after a couple of days, as I found that in intersections or light stops, it is very short to the point that if I am first in line and wanted to be a little quick off the line to reach the other "safe" side of the intersection, I had to change gears before even reaching the middle of the intersection, and that's a bit dangerous for someone like me who is still slow with changing gears, and sometimes make mistakes. So I stopped using 1st gear altogether, and now 2nd gear is my new 1st. Also noticed that the bike is perfect for in-city riding where you're always between 50-60 Km/hr. (this is Canada). I tried it on the highway though, and after 80 or 90 Km/hr. (55 miles/hr.), the experience becomes unpleasant. I am not sure if it is the vibrations from the single cylinder, or the lack of wind protection or a combination of both. So for me, this bike is a great first bike for someone to learn on, without being intimidated. Or a great second bike for an experienced rider who is looking for a chill bike around town. It is lightweight, and it looks gorgeous. People turn their heads everywhere I go. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate your insight and perspective. Congrats on getting a pretty cool first bike! My first bike was a Yamaha Vino, so you win for sure!
When you got the bike did you also get the metel rack that takes the place of the pillion seat ? I have run that on the bike for six years ..I works great and would do you better than just using the under housing .. Just saying :) All the best , Guy
Mine didn't include a rack, sadly. This setup is also temporary as eventually I want a setup that allows me to carry a passenger while still carry luggage. Just a bit of a making it work for the time being situation. Thanks for watching. I appreciate your comment and support.
@@Dailycozwerks I love the long seat and rack as I have seen it on a few 900 Scrambelers . It is a more organized system for the long haul .I am 73 and my wife does not want to ride anymore so I am fine with the solo seat and smaller rack .I must say the solo original seat is great even after a few hundred miles on it in a day . :)
SO I got the 2017 version of this bike as a left over in 2018 .. I got the center stand heated grips, tiger adventure foot pegs and the pannier rack that I made a wooden box to hold my rain suet and winter gear . I average 54 MPG and have a range of 160 to 170 miles per tank . I ride on low test of med test gas .. With 19K miles I am on my third chain and second set of sprockets (I ride dirt and gravel and winter salt so I am hard on the drive train) I have had two sets of Metzler Torance tires and am on a set of Michelin Anerkee 's at the moment ... Because the suspension is at best adequate the bigger foot pegs have been my favorite add (that and the heated grips in New England winter riding ) . ..Six years of joy .I do wish the gas tank was bigger and an Oleans set up would be fun but this bike owes me nothing and I am looking forward to the nest 20K miles with her ... Yours from New England , Guy
Are we gonna get the Cub Cross?..
I love my 21 SuperCub...but ive only put 900 miles 😂😂😂 so...ive added passenger seat, foot pegs, sidecstand and made a few mobile device mounting bars😮😮😮
I am 5:11 and 180LBS. Use to own the Scrambler 900 now i own ST900. Love it. i put British Customs Bench seat that give me little bit of hight. Not fan of Highways anyway. st 900 is a forever Bike.
Awesome. Glad you are loving it and that seat swap helped a bit. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it.

I’m 5’10” at 209 pounds. Own the Street Twin. Love it. The ride home from the dealership was weird since I’m used to very big bikes. At 65 years old I’ve owned over 45 motorcycles in my long motorcycle career. Every kind you can think of. But weird because yes it felt small. Like a mini bike lol. And I thought omg what have I done. I’m too big for this bike. Well it only took 10 minutes of riding and the feeling of cramped or small disappeared. Seriously. Rode 1.5 hours to get home. Love the power. Love the riding position. Absolutely love the stock exhaust note. Last ride I took was over 250 miles. I did not experience any discomfort and I have to say I just love the character of this bike. Good review. You nailed all the points one should consider between the two bikes. I agree highway speed over 70 mph is fatiguing but almost every naked bike will be. If you want to ride mostly highway then buy a proper highway bike. As for me. I’ll do highway when I need to and it’s fine. We had no choice back in the 70’s when all bikes were naked lol. So I’m going back to the future lol. Cheers.
Glad you are enjoying it! It really is a super fun bike. You are definitely right about the exhaust note! Thanks for watching!
I have 10,400 miles on mine. Great backroads brawler. I plum wore out the original front and rear tires in 7,000 miles, almost down to the cord. If I only had one bike, this would be it.
Did you replace with the same tires or switch it up? Thanks for watching. I appreciate you!
@@Dailycozwerks Pirelli Scorpions.
I'm 5'10". Size 13 shoe and a chunky 210lbs. My spouse owns a st900 and I have to ride it for her weekly as she got injured a month back. Frankly I feel like a bear riding a tricycle every time I hop on it. Also a big thing that annoys me is the lack of a 6th gear, I hate it in the highway for that reason. The positives; solid tech package and solid stock sound. Overall i think the bike is perfect for beginners who are under 5'9".
Valid points! Thanks for watching and your insight. I appreciate you!
My wife have this one, red/wht. I just wish it came with a (Installed) battery tender and a side kick stand. much easier to park and move around. They (Honda) missed the ball by not installing them both.
The side stands are really cheap luckily, but you are definitely right about the battery tender. They definitely need a slight redesign there or includes port. Thanks for watching!
Wow…Hard to believe you couldn’t find parts…I just got the scrambler 400x and ordered pretty much every accessory they have for it and got everything in a week. Also changed out the front sprocket to a 15 and the power delivery is much better. I think it’s one of the hottest bikes out right now.
You had me at “125mph…GROSS.”
Man, looks like you've just bought a wrong bike... You don't like: wheels tank engine seat exhaust Arises a question - what do you like in it indeed?
Well spoken and well said. Might make an MT07 scrambler or get a Tenere 700. Daily ride is an XSR700
Thanks for watching. I appreciate you. Orrrr Scrambler 900 👀. Jk, Tenere sounds sick.
1) The fit and finish is as good as any bike in this range. 2) Just 3 months later, a lot of Indian companies are exporting accessories. Zana comes to mind. Even ebay has specific parts and some of the Amazon parts unofficially fit in. You have to give it time. Its a NEW Bike. 3) As someone who is getting older and had its past share of faster bikes (750 cc crotch rocket, SV650, etc), I do not want to ride faster than 80 (true GPS) MPH on the highway. This bikes "suffer" from the 14t front sprocket made for the off-roading crowd. Going to 15t (as installed in the Speed) makes it more pleasant and reduces the 75 MPH cruising speed by about almost 500 rpms. This bike is SUPER COMFORTABLE in stock form for someone who is 5'11" and rides solo. It is also the BEST one at the price (this side of a cruiser) that can carry a small to medium female passenger. The Triumph Scrambler 400X is UNIQUE in the following ways: It is the Scrambler that Kawasaki could have built with their current platforms of what they call "500" (actually 450+cc in their Ninja - Super Sport, Z500 - Naked, Eliminator...) I would have used the torquier engine version of their Eliminator cruiser and voila, it would have completed the whole spectrum and made it a nice bridge to their KLX300 and KLX300SM bikes. Heck it might even have qualified it for power as far as your criteria.
How bad is that super cub is and how I hate myself I shod boy super cub 125
Was ready to close the video until I heard that first point. 😂 Well done. Very educational.
wait so all someone has to do is spin the wheel fast and they can start my bike?
Don't buy this motorcycle if you want any other color that gray in 2024.
I bought a 2020 Honda Super Cub and love it. Now, I need to take the DMV Skills test to get my motorcycle license here in Arizona. Question: I will need to complete an obstacle course that includes doing tight U-Turns, S-Turns etc. All the online instructions to do obstacle course make full use of the hand clutch. So, their not very helpful for us Super Cub riders. Can you please offer some guidelines on how to best manage an obstacle course on a Super Cub? Thanks, Sal
Nice! On that tip! 😊
I dunno man, the stock exhaust is one of the best looking stock exhausts ever made imo

Great video and commentary! I also got mine during the pandemic. I've had trouble bonding with it. The shifting rocker and no clutch have been hard to adjust to. I guess I just need to ride it more. My husband who recently gave up his big bikes due to balance issues loves this one.
