Sem palavras, simplesmente transcendental!
"It's good music to chill out to." - God
Music to party to! 😢
Et quelle osmose avec le batteur ! Merci à vous
Difficult drumming...
Thanks for sharing, beautiful Vini's guitars.. 🙏✨
a special band at their peak
This is pure gold!
41:25 Requiem Again. Quiet something.
It sounds like nothing else. both sketches and Missing boy, still magic
fantastic
Was lucky enough to watch this live 👍
I wish I could make electric guitar sound as plainly beautiful as this.
Durutti Column TV, any chance you can put the set list in the description when you upload a video? I know the die hard fans would know the name of every song played. But many of us don't. Cheers.
I always prefer Durruti Column without synths and pure guitar, but it doesn't sound too bad live here. I'm just grateful these video recordings exists. Brilliant stuff. Seeing Vini play "English Landscape Tradition" is wonderful. "The Begger" as always, is bliss!
"Room Called Heaven", I don't think the sound engineer understood how to turn up the mic...still, it worked in a shoegaze kind of way. "The Beggar" was played the best live on the Dry album, once you listen to that, you are in Durutti Column nirvana.
I wonder if someone was just recording bits for the media...or whether the whole thing actually exists?
Obrigada! ❤️
What a treasure!
Fripp, Reilly & Zappa, have been lucky enough to see the latter pair...
Blessed to have seen the former pair too! Including gigs at the same venue (Manchester Poly, Cavendish House early 1980s)
Bruce looking sharp in a kufi and a bow tie.
Be with someone who looks at you the way Bruce looks at Vini.
Where is the full concert ?
レスポールか。イメージ的にフェンダーのシングルコイル系ギターやGibson ES-335なんだよな。
It’s a late 1970’s Gibson Les Paul Custom (which throughout this era were fitted with Humbucking pickups) in a red-pink sunburst finish, with gold plated hardware. Looks great and sounds just wonderful in Vini Reilly’s hands. And it looks like he’s playing it through a Roland SRE-555 Space Echo into a Fender Twin Reverb amplifier. Fabulous band and music, also thanks to Bruce Mitchell on the drums. Great footage, too.
This is absolute tripped-out bliss. Sensational.
Vinnie couldn't sing worth a fuck but THAT was the beauty in his music and performances. Genius composer, guitarist and lad.
Astounding
Banda maravilhosa
Ventolin was always my drug of choice as well. I was surfing in Morocco that day though.
Unbelievable recording. Captured an amazing essence of the performance, felt like I was there.
@@TheBirdBrothers That's why he wrote 'felt like' indicating that he was in fact not there, but the sentiment and the overall feeling that seeing the video gave made him feel like he was there.
U2 guitar with Clash singer, wild.
don't you dare bring u2 here.
U2, my arse.
what is the title of the first song ?
It is normally called 'What is it to me (woman)' from Guitar and other Machines but I think was also titled 'for mother' on Live at the Bottom Line.
Estive neste concerto. Discoteca Industria.
The trumpet player was a member of Olive, who wrote You Are Not Alone.
Wow, great call. What talent.
@@Player-125 yes, he is Tim Kellett
And Simply Red . His solos on " Holding back the years " and " Maybe someday " are amazing.
Thank you so much for these uploads.
This was originaly broadcast 14th april 1985 as far as I could find. Thank you for the upload, really nice recording. The vhs artifacts in the sound from time to time seems part of the performance. Perfecto.
Estive com ele num bar e o concerto foi fabuloso... Obrigado pela partilha
This is so good. Been following them since 1981 and this is about the best quality I have seen except for when I was there in person, 1989 Manchester Exchange, Royal Festival Hall 1991, Manchester Cathedral late 90s. Wish I saw more, made more effort. Such an under appreciated genius. The soundtrack of my 20s.
I was in the audience. Great night.
SO WHAT
@@bierigblondjerun along…. What a weird comment.
jajaja se quedó re de cara el de sombrero! Viva Vini Reilly, eterno!!
