The GR Corolla is shocking… so I bought one

Wow! I can't believe it took me this long to get into a hot hatch, and this might just be the hottest of them all. Tough to find when they first came out, they've finally become more available. Had to double check my budget, but when all the numbers didn't immediately yell at me I jumped at the opportunity to get a fantastically spry and practical daily driver. It's got the best of all worlds, ...

I'm selling my RAV4!

Reviewing normal cars is not our usual shtick, but today it's different because it's my RAV4! I'm selling it after about a year of ownership because, well, I want something less practical. It's been an awesome daily, and I highly recommend RAV4s to all of my friends and family, but it's time to say goodbye. My next car is almost here and I am super excited! Stay tuned for that! Christmas came early! Minimal snow in the North East so far, but this snow white brought it's 8 dwarves, and boy can they sing. Today, we got to taste the last gasp of mid-engine V8 goodness from Ferrari. The F8 is everything we've come to expect from Ferrari. It's fun, it's fast, it's looks bonkers, but this one had something else. You get the sense that all Ferrari has learned from making car...
Best daily supercar?? Long term 911 Turbo S Review

Our first time shooting the same car twice, but for good reason! Evan had this 992 Turbo S all to himself for a few days and just had to talk about it. By the end of our "long term" review, we had a totally different outlook on the Turbo S. We better understand what it's best at, and what it's like to live with. Turns out if you spend hundreds of thousands of dollars you get a sublime daily-dri...

We took a B5 RS4 Avant to cars and coffee!
zhlédnutí 355Před 7 měsíci
Not excited? Understandable.... But we are! This is perhaps the most "if you know, you know" car with a niche so specific it becomes mainstream again. These RS4 Avants were never sold new in the US, but in the late 2000s, a northeaster company started importing a few and federalizing them. Since then, this one was imported and federalized fairly recently. The Cosworth tuned and built biturbo V6...
We took a Ferrari 296 GTB to cars and coffee!

New to the Ferrari stables is this: the Ferrari 296 GTB. GTB is, of course, the berlinetta (coupe) for, while GTS would be the spider (convertible) version. The smaller V6 is no slouch by itself, but it's also aided by a heft dose of the future. The electric motors in this car give it better gas mileage, sure, but you can tell that wasn't the first thing on their minds. Ferrari's first focus is...

Why didn't you actually floor the car to show it's potential! I own a GN!
You’re talking too fast. Slow your rate of speech down. And please only one person should speak at a time. Basic effective communication skills.
Thanks for the feedback! Check out our latest videos, we’ve switched up our style so we aren’t talking over each other as much.
Two things:1) hats off to a couple of kids with less than 800 subscribers being able to talk dealers into letting them drive/launch/ream-out Cars that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. 2) The regulators need to stop the car companies from cheaping-out and using an iPad to access all the controls. It’s a distraction and it will cause distractions that lead to accidents. Practically no one is asking for this nor wants it. People want physical buttons for commonly used controls that we can reach and use without looking or with a quick glance.
Thanks! We feel really lucky for sure
Funny picture of Nigel Farage at 0:48 walking past the classic Benz.

good job guys!
Great review…. Really captures the strengths of the Turbo S. I’ve gone through exactly the same thought process over the last year that I’ve had mine.
I will get one oneday God willing 🙏
At least do your research before you shoot.
I love this car, but every time I sit in one it feels massive. I have test driven a regular V twice and it does not really shrink around you like I had hoped, it still feels massive. Bigger than my old Chevy (Holden) SS
This guy's wants traction control 😅 that's a man's car not a kids just like the older muscle cars from the 60s They don't have the experience to drive these types of Machines because technology has spoiled them
Those cars came with left over Buick GNX engines
One of the best looking 911's
Agreed!
Great video guys. Thank you! Will you be doing a C63 SE driving review as well? Very curious to hear your opinion on this car. Thanks again
Thank you! And we don’t have one lined up but we will certainly keep an eye out!
I remember when those 1989 Turbo V6 T/As came out. A friend of my cousin had a brand new one (late spring or early summer 1989) and that car was incredibly quick for the time. It was so badass! I think they were all actually indy pace cars, but the pace car decals came inside the car and not factory installed. At least thats how the one in my story came. So it was a dealer or self install feature. Forgive me if that is incorrect, but that is my memory of it from 35 years ago. They would usually run mid to high 13s or very low 14s (typically with a young inexperienced driver) at the local drag strip in stock form. I remember one magazine supposedly getting 13.40s out of their test car, but it may have been tweaked. Remember, this is at a time when a mid 14 second car was considered a quick car. I remember the new Mustang LX/GTs and 350 5.7l Z28/Trans Ams running low 15s in stock trim. I know the Buick GNs were fast too, but the Turbo Trans Am was more of a sleeper! I had a 1972 Corvette small block 4 speed back then, and it ran pretty consistent 13.30-13.40 quarter mile times on the motor. I still had many a turbo buick on stock appearing tires have my lunch! Those were the salad days man........ But anyway, the 89 turbo T/A pace cars were beasts!
this car should not be legal, lmaoo so much fucking fun
55 = Fifty five...not five five.
Ah, sorry about that Leonard Oh Five Five Five Zee Zee Zee Zee
Suggestion----provide "behind the wheel" video footage.
Thanks for the feedback! Working on it now actually, look forward to it in future videos!
V8 is must
FYI the rear seats fold down and make plenty of room for golf clubs. Unfortunately due to manufacturing issues none of the first models hitting the US have them, but the 4-seaters should start trickling in soon. Definitely only useful for kids in terms of actually riding in them, but I think they are worth it for the extra storage alone.
Good to know, thanks!
I see you post on a lot of these videos and I’m getting hyped for your allocation lol
@@BasicMaffs Not as hyped as I am! 😅
Thanks for the info. This car would be perfect for the golfer demographic
Beautiful car 👍
🫶♥️
For every atmosphere of boost (14.7psi), in theory the engine displacement doubles-- 7.6 liters or about 464ci for that compact 3.8. By the way that 8-18 volt gauge is the battery; boost is 0-20psi gauge...
I run 20+ psi via chip adjustments on my 87 GN. But Richmond 3.73 gears mounted to a Auburn Pro Posi carrier allows for more boost than the stock 3.54 clutch unit. With Air Lift air bags and Kenne Bell pinion snubber plants the 255x15 Goodyear GTs Well. GrandNationalMike

MY GOD 2024 AND FOOTAGE THIS BAD? IS THIS A GOPRO 1?
It's a phoenix or firebird...not a screaming chicken.that is a stupid nickname.
I'm a big muscle car guy, and the 3.8 V6 is a huge V6. Hahaha so the 4.3 is a monster V6 ???? You don't know what you are talking about.
How are you going to compare a Corolla to a Porsche??? Also you failed to mention the braking power difference that the 4S has compared to the base models since the 4S has the turbo brakes and suspension set up. I think you need to do more of a deep dive on your car reviews than just reactions if you want to at least get a 1,000 subscribers. ..
Thank you for the feedback :)
Reviewers take different elements that they want to mention for their cars. Not every video has to be a documentary about every minute detail. If I wanted that I'd read a wikipedia page, and NEVER watch (Jeremy Clarkson) Top Gear as according to you, it doesn't offer sort of deep dive and they just do "stupid shenanigan's." every episode. Also, not every reviewer has had the chance to drive both a GR Corolla and a Porsche 996.2 Carrera 4s in back to back reviews, how can you not help but compare the two when they have been back to back reviewed. There is not a single reviewer out there has made that kind of comparison before and that kind of uniqueness is what's needed to stand out.
@@Electronica27 the point is the content creator stated miss information. Why you think my username is “stop capping 911” cause content like this and your comment is all cap 🧢. Do more research first to enlighten viewers what makes the 996 special! Not just talk about the obvious of what the car looks and comes with. The guy in the plaid shirt has a bright future making content as he stated the first obvious advantage of the 996 which is how direct the steering is. Once again stop the cap on commenting on my response to the video when I actually own this model.
Y’all got a lot of miss information on this review. The 996 debuted from 1998 - 2005 😬
Um, actually 🤓 the 996 production run was from July of 1997 to 2006 (if you count the production of the GT models). Either way, I did get it slightly wrong saying 97-05, but 98-05 is also wrong ;) either way, we really appreciate you comment and for you keeping us honest! You mentioned we got a lot of things incorrect, what were some of the other ones?
@@manual-motion we are taking US models here so I’m not wrong. I have own these cars for many years and I’m a PCA member. Please know your facts before you want to correct others 🤓. Production came in from 98 - 05. There are no 97 nor 06 models of the 996 in the US. Google isn’t always your friend… know the facts by going to meets and talking to the community and not google.
Ah yes, the US market, the only market ;)
@@manual-motion that’s your target audience from where you are based… either way you have a lot of other information that is incorrect that I can point out if you would like. I don’t mind helping out Porsche novices on the education piece.
@@manual-motionthere were no other “S” variants of the 996…. The only “S” variant was the 4S. The 997 was the model that had a carerra S (2 wheel) NOT the 996.
The Syclones an typhoons can't with the 4.3 turbo not the 3.8

I have a white circuit edition on the way! Should have it in a few weeks. Super excited. Ive never even seen one in person lol
Enjoyable video and killer car but one critique, please film when you fire it up, its such an integral part of the experience!
Like the content, keep it up!
one thing i can't stand (on almost every modern car) is that I can tell by you sitting in the passenger seat that the dash is literally up to your EYEBALLS... you can't see and enjoy any of the speed sensation of the ground rushing beneath you out of the front window. this is something modern cars have lost which is why older cars are becoming valuable. In a 1990s Celica GT four you can see above the dash and can actually feel the speed. In an MR2 you are literally sitting in front row seats on the roller coaster with a lack of a long hood you can see straight down to the action right in front of you. This sensation is irreplaceable. I wish the buraucracy of modern cars didn't get in the way. Only one ICE company I know are building cars like they were in the 90s, and that's Subaru (except the BRZ/86 which is also too many blind spots).
At a stoplight nobody's looking at you because you're in a BMW.Just like me at the same stoplight driving to work.Yet,have fun replacing parts.
Typical GM garbage interior 😂😂😂😂

Good video review, just earned yourself a new subscriber!! Would you say it's comparable to a GD chassis hatchback Subaru wrx?
Thank you!! We haven’t driven one unfortunately, but that would be an interesting comparison!
Great video gentlemen. Your enthusiasm is infectious! Picked mine up a couple of weeks ago. What a fun daily. Good luck with the channel.
