Would any of the Floyd Rose models be an easy replacement for the Schaller? I have a ‘91 Charvel fusion Custom that I’m trying to refurbish, it has a Charvel branded tremolo made by Schaller, but as someone has already mentioned, the steel intonation screws eventually chew up the thread in the die cast baseplate making setup impossible, I would like to replace it with a Floyd Rose that has a steel baseplate so I can experiment with string gauge and not damage the plate while loosing and tightening the screws to set intonation

the jackson schaller bridge are annoying af. Ive had a Japanese Jackson wherein the intonation holes were stripped and the whammy bar was deformed. I cant understand why they put a zinc and steel combination on those.

Ive had no problems with Floyd Specials or older 1000 series they are almost as good as the original to me as I have all of them. The ones I am now having issues with are the newer ones that have the cheap stainless steel parts. The 1500 and 1000se. On the 1000se The arm coupling is terrible and i cant get them to flutter like I can all the others. No matter how loose or tight the arm is it rattles. I am going to try replacing the coupling and arm soon. The 1500 I have on the Loomis SL7 is better with the push in arm but just doesnt feel as good as my older Floyds. Pretty disappointing.

Im looking for the Yngwie tone but with EMGs. What would you prefer for that? I'm already rocking SAXs but wondering if these are better.

With the D-tuna - do you need to fix the Floyd to "dive only" mode for easy use, or can you use it in "floating" too without messing up the overall tuning?

I started playing in the late 80's & gigging in the early 90's with an EMINAR 60 watt amp , then a JCM 900 SLX half stack. I loved it. I've also tried modelers in the last few years but still love that Stack sound. So good to see younger people playing Real music again & understanding the feel of it. Not this drop drag I'm a producer Bullshit. Cheers Brother. Keep it up.

Awesome review! I just ordered mine, but unfortunately it is back ordered, I’m wondering just how limited a run these are.

This beats the hell out of those Amazon trem stoppers. If they weren’t so pricey I’d drop money on two of them right now. The only issue I have with them is the size requirement. I swapped the stock spring claws in both of my Jackson Kellys with the Schaller Sure Claws, and I’m not sure if even the small Tremmory will fit.

I've used it as a preamp, into the return input, and it sounded very good! You could also use it as a boost by butting the volume on full, drive at 0 and pretty much all the controls at 12:00. I've heard that some people use it like that, and it hits the amplifier harder than an SD-1. This is a good pedal. I think that the "hate" that it got is mainly based on not knowing how to use it.

I own three of these. A snow white one like your's with EMG Super 77's, a gloss black one with DiMarzio D Activators and a transparent black one with stock Duncan Designed pickups. I love 'em. Great guitars. I also owned a quicksilver RR24XT with Lace Drop+Gain pickups which sound absolutely f'n killer.
