You overlooked Deen Castronovo, whose vocal prowess surpasses that of the three subsequent lead singers brought in to replace Steve. His talent is remarkable, as he can sustain notes longer than any of them, even Steve. Despite being offered the lead singer position, he chose to decline. It's disheartening to see him not receiving the recognition he deserves. Furthermore, his ability to play the drums while delivering lead vocals is truly extraordinary. This humble man never fails to amaze me and many others. Just "WOW!"

Always looked to hear that tone? Why? They could just be Journey, good enough. Steve Perry is irreplaceable, that is a fact. The songs are unforgettable. They diminished the great songs by trying to replace the irreplaceable.

I would say Arnel has a range and voice that is clear as water and thick as honey. He is a pleasure to hear. What heppens is that Perry was an entire package. He was at the time honey for the ears and for the eyes.

Mr. Perry will always have the edge for three reasons. 1. He wrote them. They were designed for his voice so it’s a perfect marriage between voice and content. 2. Nostalgia. You can’t escape his shadow and you hear his voice still everyday on the radio compared with the others. 3. He was simply the best.

The most noticable difference between them is that Perry's voice is raspier than Arnel's and Augeri's making it more "rock"-like. Soto doesn't sound like the other 3 at all which sounds strange as we aren't used to the song sounding that way.

Is this a joke? Steve Perry is waaaay ahead any other singer, not only Journey but almost any other band

Nothing against Poison or their songs, but Richie has more talent than the entire band. Understandably, many Poison fans may not be familiar with all that Richie has done. Though Poison wins on the songwriting, if commercial success is any indicator, but Richie is on another level as an all around musician and never should have been in Poison. .. kinda reminds me of Vai in Whitesnake .. he was just way too much firepower for the band.

Our hearts always resonate with the sound of the original recording voice. All these latter ones carried the torch while Steve is unavailable. But I also love Deen singing these tunes. He delivers in whatever band he is in.

Steve Perry is Steve Perry and Arnel Pineda is Arnel Pineda, You can't compare them both, Steve is INCOMPARABLE that's a fact, but let us never discredit Arnel for keeping the journey and its songs alive to this date, how can you not love arnel when he is the closest thing to steve's voice. that alone is "FOR ME" splendid.
