How to Make a Comfrey Salve (OAG Method)
zhlédnutí 930Před 5 lety
A video I found very informative was my CZcams friend Old Alabama Gardener. Comfrey has so many benefits,it goes by the name knitbone as well because of its ability to heal sprains, bruises, and broken bones much quicker. It is good to have a jar around the house as it is great for so many things. Acne, eczema, aches, and pains, dislocated shoulders, etc. I really enjoy this plant and thank you...

Making Comfrey Tea Fertilizer

Comfrey has many benefits in the garden as a fertilizer. It can cut chopped and dropped or it can be made into a concentrate like what is done in this video. Special thank you to Old Alabama Gardener for without him, this video would not have been possible. His channel is at czcams.com/channels/bsmRMHLiGeecgxBMuEIBqA.html

Dont forget to add your soap in with the Neem Oil, which should be cold pressed, not Extract, because the soap will emulsify the Neem Oil to stay on the plant leaves.

Is the PVC pipe for airflow? Do you drill holes in it?
You know what else this plant does, it unlocks the ability to chug hard alcohol without experiencing the burning sensation of a hard alcohol. 😂.
My thoughts exactly! Just wanted to make sure someone else was on the same page with me. Going to make this right now.
so it's water & beets?
Nice
Beautiful garden. When did u plant your collards and broccoli? Do u plant in the summer months? Thanks for sharing
Im in zone 6A. We normal plant at the beginning of spring. Around mid April.
Made one before and used 500ml beer bottles to make the pockets instead of wood. Gave a nice round effect and didn't affect the colour of the plastic ro much.
Rick, I love where you store your herbs! Thanks for the wonderful idea!! 🙏
Thanks for the inspiration
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!
I cooked brocolli leaves for the first time and I loved them. Mine were small leaves about 6 - 8 inches so they didn't take long to cook stem included and they still had some bit. Very tasty.
Spit hot fyre like Dylan, Dylan and Sir arick da Dylan 😂
What kind of fertilizer do you use ?
So how much neem did you put in the click n spray?
Very interesting. I've never seen anyone intentionally grow yarrow before. Where I live it's a very prolific wild herb. I have an enormous patch in my back yard that I don't mow until I've harvested the first spring crop. Right now (June 10) I have two trays of leaves and unopened flowerheads in the dehydrator. I get my late-season mature yarrow from among my raspberries.
I just found you in your site and I'm so glad that I am now subscribing hopefully. You are posting things currently I'll check your channel in just a minute.I mostly wanted to say I appreciate the fact that you do reply to people's questions. That is so important and helpful to the rest of us that like the full deal

Cool! I got seeds for '23. How do you save seeds? What do the seeds look like exactly?
If you let the cone dry it is full of seeds. Just shake inside a bag where you want to save them(what I do).
Thank you Rick, great help. Liam from Ireland.
Thank you. I have severe burning pain in my mouth due to MS. Even my throat I get to the point where I hold my head so that I don't suffer so badly.
Watching this in 2022
Thank you for making this ...i found him about 1 yr ago. He had some great advice! Thank you!
Warning Warning Warning , Labored or difficult breathing is known as dyspnea. Avoid this toothache pain plant if you suffer from any breathing problems or on pain management medications ,then avoid it at all cost , I almost stopped breathing from it , I was in the Garden and tired , I chewed on one leaf , it almost stopped me from breathing .
Can a smaller diameter pvc pipe be as effective?
I needed to see someone else keep it so simple. Thanks!
I just saw this and I’m in shock. I just started watching his videos about 4 months ago. Had no idea he had passed away. R.I.P. Alabama Gardner May you Rest In Peace 🕊✝️🙏🏼💔😇
I love the garden. This is amazing!!
Can ya smoke it ?
How often do u spray them ?
How did you add your timer to your system. Or how did you build it with your system
Its just a basic 4 hose time connected to my spigot. Fairly straight forward. The spigot always stay on during grow season. I bought a cheap tote to keep it in to keep it out of the elements. When I need to use the venturi, I just disconnect it from the inlet and connect the venturi to there. Ill run whatever nutrients need to go in, disconnect and hook back in the water source.
Thanks for this video, love from a gardener 3 hours north of Toronto Canada :)
What happened to the barrels?! didnt work out?
thanks man it was hard to find a video were someone breaks down how to prepare the roots thank you
Hello thanks you for sharing the great video 👍
How long would the numbing effect last and also do you build a tolerance to it ? Thanks man
Great video ☺️, im building one right this moment. I was watching different videos to see how people distribute the holes for air flow. Everyone seems to do it differently.
Wow great harvest
So sorry to hear this I just got through watching a video and his he will be missed rip
You are one of the first garden YT channels I began watching years ago! Good to see content from you again sir. Wishing you a successful 2022 garden 🪴 ✨
MandyGal, thank you for the kind words. I apologize for not being more serious about this channel but comments like yours will push me to be better. Thanks for watching.
I wish I lived close. I’d help you rebuild your beds. My heart sank when I saw all your hard work falling apart. If you want to know how I built mine (easy plan and they are strong) email me. My email is in all my video descriptions. God bless. ~Nanny~
Thank you so much, its really not that big of a deal. It was my mistake and as you know as a grower, we live and learn. Ill probably rip it all out in another 5 years anyway and do something different. But I will know to reinforce more heavily. Thank you for gracing my page with your presence.
I really enjoyed this! I would only need to grow one of those beets per year😁. Love the oxheart carrots.
My darling Friends !!!!! Hope you all are well! Hugs and love from Nevada !
