One myth many people carry is "Scrum required requirements to be expressed as user stories". That's a Myth. User Stories are only one way of expressing requirements. If it helps keep it, however, there are other ways of expressing requirements as well. In scrum Product Backlog holds requirements which are expressed as Product Backlog Items. #scrum #mythbusters #video #shortsvideo

Service Level Expectation : The SLE is a forecast of how long it should take a single work item to flow from started to finished. The SLE itself has two parts: a period of elapsed time and a probability associated with that period (e.g., "85% of work items will be finished in eight days or less"). The SLE should be based on historical cycle time, and once calculated, should be visualized on the...

Sprint Goal is not Sprint Scope

Commitment: Sprint Goal The Sprint Goal is the single objective for the Sprint. Although the Sprint Goal is a commitment, it provides flexibility in terms of the exact work needed to achieve it. The Sprint Goal is created during the Sprint Planning event and then ad...
Sprint Backlog is Frozen Myth

It is indeed a mystery how so many myths are born around an agile, flexible framework; one of the strengths of Scrum is its adaptability to unique usage conditions. How can there be only one way to express requirements? Thank you for this important myth buster!

  • @kuldeepsinghsolanki5178

Lovely myth buster. Amazing and crisp 👌. People are mad about stories and story points which doesn’t tell any story and downs make any point. Keep them flowing 👏👏 thanks @Nagesh. Amazing work.

So true, Nagesh!! I'm afraid if the majority of Agilists were aware of this fact - so many of 'em would have an understanding that requirements in Scrum are User Stories, which is a BIG myth - it's just 1 of the ways of expressing requirements!! Thank you once again for this myth-buster 🙂

Thank you, Nagesh, for the wonderful awareness on the concept of SLE and the very notion on how it encompasses the aspects of range of possibilities as well as the probability associated with it! 💐👌🏻

Wonderful video. It will trigger new thinking and people will start thinking in Probabilistic way, instead of Deterministic approach. Thanks for bringing awareness around SLE. At this moment it is under-utilised notion but I am sure with this effort it will gain momentum in Kanban world. Amazing 👌👏. Thanks @Nagesh Sharma. 🙏
