I just inherited this same machine from my dad that recently passed during covid. He was a treasure hunter and always found rings, old coins..jewelry ect. I am brand new to the sport and would love some advice on this particular machine if anyone is still tuning in. Mine has a "whites 300 ltd" coil and i am unsure of what effect different coils bring to the table. Thanks in advance guys. Id love to make this a pastime and continue my ol mans tradition. The wireless coil really limits what could be done from a pure power perspective. You’re limited by the battery you can fit inside the coil. In the long run, as technology improves ground handling and EMI wireless coils are a silly idea.

Preamp gain to 3. Ground balance will work. Set ac sens to where it is about 3 to 4 points lower than falsies. Set filters as low as you can stand without noise. It will reach deep on 3khz for coins. The stock programs are idiot safe. Do not reach far.

I purchased a Orx and it lasted for 2 hours and it locked up and can't use it anymore. A worthless piece of trash. Never again will I buy a XP product !!!!

Where do you find all these different detectors? In youtube it's normally only Minelab, Nokta and Deus. AKA is it Ukrainian as well?

Sound was confusing! Was it the ooouu sound or the pling that was the non ferrous target. I thought it was the pling, but the 25 cm that all detectors struggle with, I think I didn't here the pling sound with this machine only ooouu. Sometimes depth is of no use, if the machine is just to noisy. That's why I never liked my Minelab Explorer.

Get a metal detector and come back here you might find more ww2 stuff maybe even an mg42

Good morning Mr Krause: I have this machine, borrowed from a fellow treasure finder. I was going to use it to find shipwreck treasure troves near or on the beach in Florida. I watched your excellent video several times, and I thank you for posting it, If I understand you said it doesn't work in sand. Does that mean you can't use it in sand? Or that is problematic but can be mastered with practice? I thank you for any insight you could provide. Thank you sir

I just looked, the gold hunter m50 on Ali express is over $1,100 dollars. A REAL NOKTA LEGEND, is half that, makes no sense.

I blame part of these knockoffs on companies like Minelab that farmed out their manufacturing overseas which opened the door to steal their technology. I may be wrong? Either way, I’m not supporting any Chinese company pirated products, you help yourself. Thanks for the video though. Wow, that is a Legend knockoff for sure. The menu is identical, ugh!

Very interesting detector. I have an old one made by Vic Fiveash called a red heat XD17 pro very rare and it unmasks coins in iron infested sites too. Search red heat metal detector. Made to hunt targets in iron on the London Thames shore. Vik hi self got so fed up with all the crap detectors out there that he starting making detectors that would work amazing in iron infested sites. This new one you show is interesting, especially if it has good depth

Ivan, glad to here your review. Strong sides of NFD 90 are separation and discrimination. It has depth in iron infested areas and will unmask good target under iron. Also it will not miss or sound iron on big cooper or silver trasure. It will take some time to get use to its operation. There will be bigger speaker in newer versions...

I aslo fell for manticore hype but was very disappointed with the performance. I feel it is WAY over priced for what it actually does. I am pretty sure manticore will be collecting dust in many closets. They are also beginning to show up on marketplace. Will it detect? Yes. Is it worth $1500? Absolutely Not.

Hi Ivan, Another helpful review. I hope the manufacturers send you more detectors to review. I have a Rutus Atrex right now using it at the beach, but looking for something a bit stonger for that environment. Any suggestions?

Funny that is a total knock off of the Legend now why knock off the best detector for the money so how much cheaper could it be now knock of a 2400 dollar Minelab manticore makes more sense

I'm going to Balticum in April. Is the ground still frozen? Do you know if any of the three Baltic states are legal to metal detect in?

I just bought a 700. I felt it was the best value for the money. Eventually it will be my backup detector. But the Manticore is still too new. Need to get the bugs worked out of it before I buy one.
