And a soft landing consumes mire fuel than a harder one, and Ryanair is a low-cost company. So they actually don't land that hard.

No go-arounds for Ryanair...they always stick the landing no matter what. I particularly like the technique when they deploy the thrust reversers before the wheels are on the ground - very effective in getting the plane down.
