the trains were running yesterday for the first time in years

I once rode a Budd car to Griffin's. I think it was in the 1970's...supposedly the State was going to start commuter service on this line, but they punked out...I was working for PC at the time on the Metro Region, and flying at Bradley Field with the CT Army Guard...Good video and I enjoyed seeing it...Thanks!!

They also have a great crew that runs the railroad, very Railfan friendly!

It will be nice too see #60 back on the rails! It's suppose to do some some excursions this year, not sure when. I know it is up and running.

i hope to get to the BR&WRR next year, when #60 is hauling excursions again

They run once a day from North Grafton to West Upton (Mon-Fri). Weekend service was supose to start earlier this year, but has been put on hold due to track work.

@ConnecticutProd I beleive it last saw service in 1998/1999. And that was passenger service. For a breif time, they offered excursions south to Lambertville. As for putting the line out of service, i'm not sure. But i would guess that no customers and track conditions.

@ConnecticutProd At the moment, the line south of Ringoes station to Lambertville is out of service. From what i hear, there is talk of opening the line again. I also heard that they want to make it a trail. So not sure of the status.

Rode that back in '65, or '66, maybe '67, class trip from Middletown. I was about 6. Always wondered where the heck that was until 1983, when I was wandering around and by pure chance drove through Ringoes.

Great preview i tell ya, i miss the the short Bay Colony trains through Millis MA i would see them go by every day with about 7-10 boxcars on them after i ate breakfast at the Cliqout Club.
