All four scents are very nice. I love Capri lemon 🍋 Maldives my least favourite . The banana note in Maui is so nice and not artificial. Wish they had a bigger bottle of Capri.

They new gold palette seems like it’s for fairer skinned people, while the original seems more inclusive and beautiful for deeper skin.

Thanks so much for this helpful review and comparison. I’m skipping this as I don’t really need more eyeshadow, but I also don’t need a colour story that no longer makes the most of my skintone. The last ND midi palettes I bought were Dream and Yucca. Everything since has been too light or cool for me.

Would be very excited to see you try out the Lisa Eldridge lip pencils (for science of course haha).

Love that you made this kind of video, sometimes the stables are more important than the “fun” products ☺️ I also discovered velvet puffs last year and they are a game changer for using powder, especially since I have dry skin 👏 Also, an unsung hero for me is any kind of luminizing product to put under your foundation (elf halo glow, becca backlight, charlotte tilbury etc) since it means my base always looks nice 😍

I just bought the new Elf Gloss Boss that has spf in it. The taste isn't spf-life but it is tinted so that can be a problem depending.

Tape the cracked lid. It will stop it mushing the top. I dropped a PM concealer and there was a hairline crack in the glass. Duct tape. It won’t crack further and air is sealed out. I bad about cracking lids. Scotch tape. The sooner the better!

I have the original and the only reason why I would’ve gotten this is for Kava. Love that shade and in my huge collection is the only one that is hitting pan! But thanks to your honesty I know it is not worth the purchase. Body matters!

It seems like maybe the original version has maybe oxidized some, and/or she shifted labs and formulations.

Great review Ameerah! I used to have the OG gold but it was worn and old so I did let have to let it go. I loved it but the shadows were getting up there. I’m disappointed in this release bc it feels meh. I love varis and mustard and wish they did a re-do of the OG Gold. The new one is too monochromatic for my preference. I did not get this new one. And YES, I would’ve bought this if it were a cheaper, smaller version of the OG.

I own neither palette but I had to see your review. I wonder if she releases a Mini Golden palette and what she will include-would love to see a return of a green shade in the color story.

Your eyeshadow palette reviews are always on point 👏 and yes, her releasing this is just making me want to go dig out my original gold palette from the drawers and play with it over the summer (especially those teals and limelight 😮‍💨) and yes, I really hoped it was just a smaller version of the OG so I could replace it 🥲

I had the opportunity purchase the gold palette and never did because of the teal/lime/mustard shades. The golden palette omits everything I didn’t like about the og palette. My eyeshadow collection is nd midi I need a nude, nd midi glam, nd glam face dark, nd mini nude, nd biba large, sigma ambiance, elf I love you a latte, pat mcgrath divine rose 1 and pat mcgrath mini midnight voyage. I hardly ever reach for the pm palettes because my preference is a completely basic palette. Natasha’s team is betting on the fact that I represent the majority. I do hope that she makes the og palette available again for the people that missed out or just want a fresh one though. Your eyeshadow look is beautiful btw.

I love my Gold palette and I wished she did the midi as the original gold with teals and shades of gold that standout.

The gold pallette is so special because of the unusual tones but also the textures! The textures are so good, and really stands out when compared to her other pallettes. I got it when I was all about tons of color and was drawn to it over and over because of those textures. Kind of disapointing that she didn't keep the beautiful textures.

I actually own the original gold palette along with the mini and the baby versions. So, the truth is, I have absolutely no need for this new pallet. However, I will admit the collector in me is very tempted, but so far I have been able to stave off the temptation. I think it is a very beautiful but basic and boring palette that is great for every day looks that are work friendly, but I wish she’d kept some of the nuances that she had in the original pallet. Those pops of color made that pallet something special and I definitely would not have been mad had she made a mini and cheaper version of it today. I am quite interested in the face palette that goes along with this collection, so I’ll probably purchase that in the near future and wait for a sale before I purchase the pallet, if I even decide to get it. To be honest, I probably will. 😁

I agree and I like your review. Those lighter mattes is the reason why I'm not getting this. They don't show up on me in a flattering way. I do appreciate 1 light matte to do an all matte look and a transition for light skin tones but I don't understand why she has so many of them and couldn't add a deeper/mid toned matte. Yep it's similar with Inan. Oh you mentioned urban decay honey. I wanted to get that one but I no longer see it on Sephora Canada website. If it's not discontinued I wonder if I should get it.

I think I'll buy the OG...if I want to another ND pallet. Lord knows I don't need anymore eyeshadow 😢

But I, like you, cannot handle heat & humidity. I grew up in the LA basin in Calif for the first 32 years of my life. Then I married a GA boy and ended up in central GA 😳. Below the gnat line and where the air can be so humid plus the heat you never want to leave your house 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️. The saying “air you wear” must have been coined in middle GA. 😂. These look like gorgeous palettes; I especially love the copper on you. Nomad's Mattes are great, and the shimmers/metalics are good too but I agree they can be tricky

Well, I was going to make the Oslo palette my first purchase from Nomad, but seeing how lively your second look turned out, I might get the Canadian one as well. I've been on a no buy until now, but, baby, those shimmers seem like that's all I'll need this Spring!
