Deuteronomy 24: 1-4 If a man marries a woman who becomes displeasing to him because he finds something indecent about her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house, 2 and if after she leaves his house she becomes the wife of another man, 3 and her second husband dislikes her and writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house, or if he dies, 4 then her first husband, who divorced her, is not allowed to marry her again after she has been defiled. That would be detestable in the eyes of the Lord. Do not bring sin upon the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.

Read Deuteronomy 24:1-4. 1 Cor 6:9-20. It clearly states that these will not inherit the Kingdom of God, and such were some of us, BUT we have been washed, sanctified, and justified by our Lord, Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God!! There is no scripture that states to leave your second, third, etc, spouse to go back to the 1st. Deuteronomy states if a women does this it is an abomination until the Lord. So I say move forward. Repent, don’t look back, but do what is right moving forward. This message you’re teaching is like that of the Pharisees requiring new converts to get circumsized.
Stand on your convictions, but rightly divided the Word, and don’t forget about God’s forgiveness and righteous judgement.
After you just stated not to listen to man and to go to scripture and listen to God, you pick up and read from another book written by a man. Scripture is clear and gives us the correct order and understanding of things, but there is forgiveness in Christ for our mistakes, and unfortunately once we’ve sinned we cannot undo what has been done. All we can do is repent and move forward to NOW do what is right, in faith, in the Spirit of God, and in truth.

So…you are saying that people who have remarried and created new families, ~ including the ex they divorced starting a new family ~ these people should break up their new marriages, new lives, new homes, new relationships, to get back with their first marital spouse? I agree with everything the Lord says in scripture, I will never disagree as our Heavenly Father is Wisdom, all Knowing, worthy to be praised but He knows that we make mistakes. He has given us the recipe for success, He has told us how He originally intended for things to be, but I do believe that He forgives our trespasses and can turn something bad into something profitable (good), praise His Holy Name! He has done it several times throughout scripture. I do appreciate you teaching the Word, but don’t forget to remind our brothers and sisters that there is forgiveness in Jesus Christ. I think that people do have hard hearts which leads to divorce/separation, but some people are in unsafe situations/marriages and there has to be exceptions to the rules, which is why Moses allowed divorce in the first place, which is what Jesus clearly stated. The God we serve is a good God and does have a standard that we believers should follow, but we are flawed, and if we have sinned, we can repent and receive forgiveness and move forward, striving not to repeat our pattern of sinning. There is forgiveness for all sin. David was forgiven of murdering someone to be with that man’s wife. Adulterers can be forgiven, but they do need to repent and do right in their current marriage/state. But for those who know scripture, follow scripture. Remain single if your marriage didn’t work, if you can, but if you can’t and you choose to marry someone, do right moving forward. Make sure that person is a believer and that you are equally yoked and that you both are striving to please the Lord. Don’t run out to sin. Be reconciled if possible to your ex, but I would not reconcile with a pedophile, rapist, serial killer, any severely unsafe person…we have to use good judgement in these situations. And I do believe God will forgive if a person if they have moved on from a person like this. Be aware that married people will face troubles in marriage. All marriages have struggles like Paul said, so don’t be so quick to run out and get married. But as scripture says, if you marry, you have not done wrong. Just follow God’s commandment/prescription so that you have a more healthy, successful marriage. But if you choose to be single, or remain single, you have not done wrong either. Say the Lord’s Prayer and all that I stated, hopefully, will make sense. (Father, forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who have trespassed against us, and lead us not into temptation). Jesus is King, is Lord, is Wisdom, worthy to be praised, honored, and glorified for HIS goodness towards us. God is a parent (our Father) ready to forgive our sins when we repent, and as a Parent, He wants us to learn our lesson if we sin and to stop repeating it, like we do as parents for our children. We were made In His image, not the other way around, which is where we get this from.
What about the woman at the well who told Jesus she had no husband and He told her she answered correctly?
What about a woman or man who marries someone who is a pedophile? A rapist? A serial adulterer? A serial killer? A spouse beater? A man who has abandoned his wife and kids? A man who refuses to provide? A drunk? God does not allow these woman or men to move on? God can’t forgive the women or men who have moved on from these types of spouses?
Thank you so much for sharing your heart and the truth. God has been showing this to me as I am remarried after I was divorced from an adulterous husband thinking I was following the Bible.

I divorced my second husband because it was adulterous. I get lonely but I have to think of eternity. I get very lonely and sometimes scared because I don’t have anyone to look out for me, but I also know that Romans 8:18 really helps me. “The pain that you've been feeling, can't compare to the joy that's coming." I have been separated from the world, and there’s no way I could go back.
@@kmcclernan88 I will pray for your continued strength
It’s so important to forgive your offenders. God is working on this with me. It doesn’t matter how much they’ve hurt you or why. God doesn’t want your sob story. He wants to heal you and help you forget it. Don’t get stuck spinning your tires in mud puddles.
Brother.. many are going to ask, "what if i'm in an abusive relationship where my life is in danger? God wants me to stay in a marriage that's abusive where my life is in danger??" You gotta address this one too, bro!
This is true. What you are saying is true. I wish I knew this before I got married but I am making this a mandatory learning for my 3 boys.
REPENTANCE in Acts 2:38 are for those that are outside of the kingdom of God also 1st Peter 4:17 (in short) what shall the end be of them that obey not/outsides the gospel of God..the Jews were taught by John & Jesus to repent, be baptize & believe that Jesus is the Son of God.. *2nd Cor 7:10 Paul is taking to the corinthian church "christians" the understanding of repentance in this content are for those that are sealed with the promise Ephesians 1:3-4..sin separate man from God in the church or outside the church Isaiah 59:2 however with godly sorrow Christians will be restored also 1st John 1:9 if we CONFESS our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Matthew 3 John the Baptist is preparing the way for Jesus to begin preaching the gospel..you said twice with John 4:17 you don't know the Jesus going to return..at this point Jesus began to preach the gospel yet and neither has he gone to the cross..Repentance does not mean repeating of sins it only mean having a change of mind..your sins are forgiven trhu baptism.. Acts 2:38 gives a clear explanation of repentence & baptism why your baptize and what you will receive..repent meaning, having a change of mind..and be baptize (why) FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS and YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOSTt..the difference between John teaching and the new testament..when John baptize it did not include receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost..it wasn't until the day of pentecost Acts 2:38 now teaches the Holy Ghost dwells on the inside of the believers 1st Cor 6:19 & 3:16.. you also mentioned when you repent your future sins are forgiven..please provide the scripture..the Bible saids to prove things etc 1st These 5:21..

Thank you for sharing your testimony… So many people are having rapture dreams in this season! For anyone who is interested, there is a series of 7 Episodes on CZcams of people who’ve experienced being left behind because they had sin in their life that they did not repent of. They also were certain that they would be caught up, but they were not. We must be careful to examine our heart to be sure that we have forgiven everyone who has ever hurt us and turn away from all known sin, asking Jesus daily to forgive us. ❤✝️🕊️
Great lesson bro.

When we walk and put all our trust in Jesus Christ, He carries us through and places us in the eye of the storm. The eye of the storm (the center) is where there is absolute peace where only a few feet away (outside of the middle of the storm) is total chaos. When we enter a storm of our life, turn to Jesus because he is in the center of it and He is peace forever!

Greetings, I have a question for you. I was recently married over the summer of last year. Unfortunately my exwife and I got a divorce 7 months after. Before my exwife and I, she was married before, but there was no vows and no ceremony and they only signed legal paperwork. She was married to a guy that was in jail and They just signed some legal paperwork from the courts and she did take after his last name. She was married to him for a year and got a divorce from him. However, when me and her got married, we had a ceremony and made vows and signed legal paperwork. Is she still considered to be married to her first husband? Even tho him and her didn’t make vows nor had a ceremony and only signed legal paperwork? Hope to hear from you soon in regards to this. 🙏
This week my grandmother may have had a mini stroke that left her somewhat paralyzed in both legs. Before this she was already suffering with a type of cancer that left one of her arms tripling in size. We are from a pacific island called Vanuatu and there we don’t have good hospitals or any equipment to help with showering or anything else… it is difficult to imagine the pain she is going through, feels unbearable to know the person that raised me has to go through suffering like this. I felt so overwhelmed yesterday when I realised I can’t do anything for her, I’m in a different country going through my own trials and I can’t just hop on a plane and go. Nonetheless, as I gather up the courage and began to pray this morning the Lord reminded me of the people that had so much faith that they climbed to the roof of the building to put the paralytic down to Him. I don’t know but it lifted my mood, encouraged me to have faith and not doubt what the Lord can do. Thank you also for reminding and exhorting me. May the Lord bless you 😊
