83 Toyota Pickup Headlight Upgrade - I CAN SEE!
zhlédnutí 210Před 3 měsíci
In today's video I upgrade & replace the headlights on my 83 Toyota Pickup. This was a worthwhile upgrade that was fairly easy that will allow me to safely drive at night. The reflective finish on the sealed beam headlights was majorly flaked off and causing the stock lights to not work well. This truck has been a blast to work on and expand my skillset in the process. Hope you enjoy the video....

In today's video we fly to San Francisco and I purchase a 1983 Toyota Pickup! This truck will serve as my primary offroad , camping & overlanding rig! It needs a bit of metal work and some TLC, but what 40 year old vehicle doesn't? I'm looking forward to all the repairs and adventures to come & I'll be sure to bring you all along!

In today's video I'm renovating & organizing my new (to me) garage. Lots of old shelving was removed to make space for all of my stuff! Looking forward to making videos here in 2024. Happy New Year! Matt
CRAWLING FOR BOOTY... AND DABLOONS!! - Pirate Themed Trail
zhlédnutí 233Před 9 měsíci
In today's video we crawl the "Crawler Addicts" Trail" at Proline By the Fire 2023. This is definitely one of my favorite trails from the weekend. The time, attention to detail and grooming that the RCCrawlerAddicts club put into this is impressive. Lots of very challenging, yet still beginner friendly features! Hope you Enjoy! Checkout @rockpiratesrc3828for a more detailed video of the trail &...
Proline By The Fire - Main Event Overview!
zhlédnutí 205Před 9 měsíci
In today's video I summarize one of the largest RC events in the world. Proline By The Fire is an annual event consisting of raffles, giveaways, best in show (show & shines), a scale city, scale builds, and much much more. I attended the entire event from Thursday-Sunday and didn't have enough time to make it to everything! Fortunately there's always next year!!

In today's video I'm packing and preparing my cars for one of the largest RC Events in Southern California. Proline By the Fire is a yearly event in Apple Valley at Horseman's Center Park with attendance ranging from 500-2500 people and hundreds of skillfully built RC Crawlers, Bashers & More! Lookout for the 2nd and 3rd covering the event!
The RockYard! - BEST CRAWLING I"VE EVER SEEN!
zhlédnutí 154Před 11 měsíci
In today's video I put my crawlers to the test! A few friends and I attended an event that was graciously hosted on private land. There are (nearly) unlimited lines to crawl that are both natural and man made. The event was hosted by Rock Pirates RC and everyone was friendly and helpful This is how communities are built! Looking forward to future events!
CRAWLER REBUILD! - FUSION PRO - VANQUISH PORTALS
zhlédnutí 132Před 11 měsíci
In today's video I give my crawler some much needed attention. The running gear on this truck has quite a bit of slop and it's time to fix that. I purchased a 2nd hand set of Vanquish Portal Axles and some new gears and got it all installed. Next on the agenda was simplifying the electronics. I installed a Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion Pro 2-in-One Motor/ESC and paired with with a Team Garage Hack 2...

In today's video the RC10 T3 gets a new power plant with a Hobbywing Quicrun ESC and a Surpass Hobby Brushless Motor! I took this truck to the track and found that traction is still a difficult thing to get with 2WD, but it's still a blast to drive around parking lots and parks. Today's modern RC cars are heavily dependent on 4WD/AWD systems because they get much better traction. This truck has...

How fast it is with 2s battery?
@rauteodoresu2445 Did you watch the video?
hey, nice video 👍 A little tip : Try using weights behind the rear axle like the Traxas Slash. Because it was designed as an FRD from the start and has the engine behind the rear axle. The Arrma, on the other hand, was designed as AWD and therefore has the engine in front of the rear axle. 100g might be a little more or less weights behind the rear axle (fishing lead may don it) AND I TELL YOU IT WILL BE MORE FUN THAN WITH AWD. 😉😏 Maybe good material for a video, because the senton is available in Germany for 160€ or around 140$. A beginner or you can stick with the brushed motor and run it on 3S, which gives you around 30% more power witch is enough i think 😊 before converting it to brushless. you will be pleasantly surprised ....greetings from Berlin 😎✌... keep it up
Great show Matt very impressed with this little vehicle
Great looking truck, dude.
Hi I am 16 I just found one of these in perfect condition in my dads garage he gave it to me I am loving it so much
I now have 3 I found some on eBay and have a few spare parts
Just put a brand new motor and a brand new esc still doesn’t work and it’s still blinking red what do I do now
It just needs some weight. Try adding some tungsten bars to the body.
Do I put it in ch2 or str ?
Hi, How many mm hex driver do I need to loosen the wheel? In other words, how many millimeters of hex bolt is it?
You can throw the x mods body on a wltoys k989 or k969 rc chassis with a little modification to the mounting. They’re around $65-$75 on Amazon and good little entry level hobby grade cars
You didn’t install the horn
Hobbywing Pro, done.
We still run 2wd lol.
Ahould be running a 2s stick pack for sure
That would just be a heat sensor on the moror
No xmaxx goes 50mph on stock gears!
Route 66 might be fun with the old headlights.
What headlights did you use?
Solid upgrade. Significantly brighter! 👍
What size tires or part number did you get?
I bought mine as probably a HS junior on a 2-hr snow delay. Ended up modding almost everything, including an alloy frame. Back in the days before internet was such a shopping place.
Wouldn't it have been much easier to put a volt meter on the motor output terminals on the ESC?
I just bought 4 xmods trucks I missed them ❤
You can avoid all of this but just buying the mount nsdrc sells for the scx24 for 19.99 lol mounts directly on with no mods. Definitely do not recommend the emaxx, very weak it it’s better than stock but still very noisy and lacks power
I forgot how noisy they wer
Who was really into them and bought a soldering iron for a certain mod The ones that know can leave the answer by comment God miss those days
How much do you want for them?
I’m currently restoring as many xmods as I can get my hands on. I have the technology to be able to keep them alive for another 20 years. The crystal in the radio will have died out long before then and they’ll still be tearing it up at the track. It’s my ultimate goal to reproduce 3D printed replacement parts and hop ups. That means replacement gear sets and metal ball bearings. That also means 2s and micro servo compatibility. I need as many as I can get, working or not.
I dont know.. to big.. still hits
I’m currently moving and when me and my pops was cleaning out our old apartment, he found 13 brand new cars in his office. He used to sell them back at radio shack, I use race these cars as a kid. I’m happy got them now so I can enjoy them
I have 3 r34 xmod cars with body kits
Just picked up some cars and got a bunch if xmods for free
A cool trip I have never been on this highway so it was a great adventure for me.🌹🦋🙏❤️🇺🇸87
How you doing my friend
Love these classic trucks! Super nice! What a cool (Roadkill style) road trip.
Thank you very much!
Nice looking truck!
Thanks Brad! I think so too. Definitely one of the main reasons I went for it. Got a lot of character!
What a trip! Great video!
Very cool MK RC!
Thanks 👍
Any chance for a parts list. Thanks!
yes!
I had a friend in high school who went to an X mods tournament. He hooked and hot glued at least 6 9v batteries to his X Mod, and won the drag race high speed record of over 100mph. I want to say it was 112mph and it totally melted the motor or the board or something XD He won, but the car needed a lot of replacement parts. He also had a drift setup that was a black painted 350z with the green under glow lights. Once i saw him race these cars around the high school. I had to have one! And i did get one that Christmas. And another one layer that year. We would bring our cars to school and talk about upgrades we heard about or wanted, and just drive them around the school, inside and outside in the parking lot. These things for some reason made it cool to play with RC cars in high school and nobody said anything except, yo that's tight ! Look at how fast it goes!
X-Mods were a hoot. I'm happy for the gateway they created into this awesome Hobby! Your buddy had some sweet builds, once that I likely dreamed of when I was a kid!
X-Mods MUST COME BACK !!!!!!
This will help
Glad to hear that!
Hi
I like your channel bro
Thank you so much Chris! Hope you're having as much fun with your Senton as I am!😀
I bought mine with four-wheel drive
I have the same truck bro but mine is brushless
If I could do it over again I would just buy the BLX Brushless version. Starting with the upgrades is definitely the move!
I remember going to the Radio Shack when I was a little kid and looking at these I was so mesmerized by them I had the fire bird My parents bought it for me I was so excited😊
Good times!! Thanks for watching!
Nice and cool!!
Thank you for this video been oversteering hard to the left even hitting my lower links! Problem solved!
Glad I was able to help. So far I've used a few different radios and I prefer the FS-GT5 over all of them.
Did you ever link the gs5 to your scx24?
Yes I did. When I upgraded it to the furitek Motor/ESC I installed a receiver to pair with the FS-GT5. It's my favorite Radio.
