those magnets are great until you start accumulating filings. Then they mess up your level if not tended to. The ability to remove the magnet was very important to me

I bought the check point ultra mag.. one drop and it's a wrap. The bubbles are like barely hot glued in. Not a good level at all.

So I am proficient at doing any rolling offset when using a 45° fitting. If you're trying to rise 20"s and offset 8"s I know you take 20²+8²=464. Then you find the square root of 464 which is 21.54". Now you multiply 21.54 x the standard 45° offset number which is 1.414 and your true offset is 30.46". Take off for your fittings and that's your pipe length. My question is... how do I do it when not using a 45° fitting? I'm going to work on Monday and have to use 90° fittings and I can't believe it but....I don't remember how to do it! All help is greatly appreciated but please I've been doing this long enough I don't need anything that isn't constructive lol. Thanks in advance! Nevermind i figured it out 30 seconds after i wrote this out lol.... you just skip the final stretto because it's just an offset with no roll 😅😅😅

That rolling offset, I use to have a different way of doing this. Now I know the mathematical way of getting this right every time. Excellent Vid Thanks.

What about a rolling 90 at a 45 degree to a 45 how do u find the piece in between??

I’ve been welding sanitary tube for twenty one years and pipe welding for ten years before that and can tell you guys there is not one second of bad information in this video. Everything this guy said is exactly how it’s done.

I appreciate this video. I'm a pipefitter out of local 72 and this is a argument we seem to have on every job. They use the milwaukee at our school for the apprentices. I'd like to see the stainless level. It would be a great tool for clean room type work

Love the videos man. I'm currently tasked with repairs on crack piping due to water hammering. I can do just fine on all the bench work of fabing pipe but how do you clean and fix cracks to prevent them from continuing to happen?

hi mate, I started making stainless exhaust parts like headers, manifolds, etc. My welds usually have colour on them, gold, sometimes even blue. they look nice, do you think theres any benefit to cleaning exhaust stuff like this? Ive found when the exhaust gets used and the stainless discolours, you can usually see a band where the heat affected zone was, not sure if this would help with that

I have never used bristle brushes before. I dont do any sanitary but do a lot of highly finished stainless and brass for high end retail displays. I wonder how these would hold up as a the first few steps towards a number 4 brushed finish on irregular shaped parts. I am going to order a few. Thanks

I loved this video because I was a sanitary welder for 5 years. I'm a maintenance mechanic now because that's where the money is but I love this type of work. Once in a while the company I worked for would contract two guys, a fitter and a welder. And they made four times what I was making. I'd like to know how to get that gig.

You should make some tacking bands that will hold the bend onto the tube while you tack. And also when you tack have your machine set to about 90amps and on 2t setting and fast tack that's how you tack dairy tube bud
