Are girl altar boys allowed to wear a cassock & surplice??? I thought that was only allowed if they are in the choir. Not the choir of the Altar but the scola choir. Black dress shoes only should be worn so as not to be a distraction.

I don't understand why so many people think that women can be an altar servers now. Pope Innocent IV infallibly condemned this, along with anyone unsanctified even entering the sanctuary. If A later pope contradicts this, he is Anathema, and thus an ANTIPOPE. Benedict XVI is not someone we should look up to on this matter. He didn't even celebrate the true mass

check out video, "Prayer Hands, Be A Better Altar Server". It's much more reverent than clasping hands and hanging the arms down. And placing the empty hand on the heart when passing the priest the wine and water.
