Ideally a smaller rim and taller tire is even better due to the fact that there are so many bad roads.
100% agree. In a perfect world, I would run a square 275/40/20 setup. Great rim protection, decent ride quality, and the ability to rotate the tires and save on tire cost!
Would've appreciated a little tour of the inside after you built it, big dawg.
at 7:23 I did a very shot walk in. You're right though, it would have been nice to include a longer, inside "tour".
Can you install this even if you have a TSL6 installed?
Yes you can, you'll just daisy-chain the connectors.
Do you prefer TSL6 over this?
No, the TSL6 is the newest gen and easier to install.
How long did that take without the editing?
2:45secs from 14.5psi tp 38psi.
Ok, I just replaced them. Do you know the long metal rods from the original mirror is for? The replacement mirrors didn't have those.
I believe it's a ground for the auto-dim feature.
@@TheAutomotiveFanatic thank you!
What overssize would you recommend for the 19" OEM Gemini wheels?
Honestly Tom, I would run the OEM 255/45/19. Those fit the MY well and provide decent comfort. If you truly want to change, look at 265/45/19. That's slightly taller with more comfort, but it's completely unnecessary.
Thanks for the help!!
My main concern is miles and longer battery life. I drive freeway 95 percent of time so dont worry about pebbles
If your main concern is range and longer battery life, you should have purchased a LR. If you however have a MYP, I would lose the 21" tire setup and go with a 19" square setup. You'll have more range, comfort, and tire longevity since you're able to properly rotate the tires.
Tesla probably uses these covers for their performance models now
I have the extension cable taped up in my 22 M3P Shanghai. But when connecting using the cable it did not work. Had to bypass and connect directly from new module to ECU
Is there a difference in year ? I have a 2024 model Y performance, I think the tires size is the same as a 2023
I do not believe they changed tire sizes.
Noting this set up when time comes to replace my tires.
Give it a shot!
i had it but cannot put the plastic panel back, how did u do that?
Take your time and try to "fold" the wiring together.
Thinner coil overs have softer suspension that thicker ones
To a certain point, you are correct. However, much goes into how the spring was created.
you need to put the wick in for it to work
You are 100% correct! I neglected to show that.
Okay, I was told that you could test if the chip will work with your car by satisfying the steering wheel prompt, simply by scrolling one of the scroll wheels. Well, I tried that when the prompt appeared, but it still asks me to pull the steering wheel. So, will that chip work on my LR 2019 EU normal Autopilot version?
Thank you
Hope your found the video useful.
The units beep on activation and deactivation is very cheap sounding. is there a way to silence it?
Unfortunately, I do not know how to silence the beep. You might be able to send an email to EVOOOR's support.
I love the idea but the price is a bit steep. One of those "foldable" shields cost 15 bucks. I agree it looks amazing but I can't get past the price point.
I would have to agree. The price for admission is not cheap, but boy...has it been worth it!
I think this is a homerun must have option for the 3 and Y. I have never owned a car that did not have a shade for the sunroof or even panoramic roof. Even one of our daily driver cars, a 2019 Alltrack SEL (fully optioned) at only 41k new in 19 when we got it came with an opening (only 1/2 opens but, very nice) panoramic roof having a factory 1 touch shade that operates exactly like this one except it extends and retracts to the rear vs the front of the vehicle. Absolutely a must being that the roof is panoramic and the interior is black leather, while having heated seats, ventilated seats were not an option in the US market. I should look into retrofitting the ventilation from another market as the seats are real, soft, upgraded supple leather with ventilation holes. The 24 VW Arteon Sel Premium R line we had for about a year had ventilated seats. Same upscale supple VW leather (the Arteon is not a great seller in the US as it is a $53k upscale VW). I bet I can retrofit the Arten ventilation into the Alltrack. The Alltrack is currently the only vehicle that we have that does not have ventilation. A shame because every other aspect of the car except Hp/Tq is exceptional. Even the Fender audio system absolutely blows away the Premium Hardman Karden sound system in my over 100k 24 BMW M4 Competition XDrive. I have considered selling/trading our Alltrack for something new but, comparing it to $45-$60k vehicles our Alltrack is so nice in so many ways especially for a car we paid under 40k for , has held it's value well still being worth mid to high 20s and the fact it is still under factory warranty until 11/2026 or another 45k miles.
I couldn't agree more with you! A $70K+ vehicle without this is ludicrous.
If Tesla were watching your video they would contact this manufacturer, make a bulk buy, offer the shade as a $2,000 option on the 3 and Y, lol
This has proven to be a useful addition to the Y. My wife uses it every day!
Yea happened to us before we bled it
It's unfortunately that QJ has never addressed this issue. Glad you're OK.
@@TheAutomotiveFanatic I appreciate you man, thank you.

Glad you found this video to be helpful! Cheers!
I just installed this... I can't get my daughter's Pixel Buds A to connect after pairing them to the screen and now the bottom row of dedicated touch buttons aren't responding to anything... ugh... Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Hello Matthew, sorry to see you're having issues with your new setup. Have you tried reaching out to Hansshow? You could also try to reset the unit and see if that helps out.
2023 Model Y. Why don’t my usb c ports in the backseat and console NOT WORK? I bought an adapter so I could use my iPhone charging cord but it doesn’t seem to charge. Help! Thanks
Did they work before any changes you may have recently made? How about testing it with another cable? Maybe pull out the wire to see if it's properly connected?
The built in speakers don't work for me, any idea why? Trying to contact for support but they don't seem to answer. I also don't have the rear seat sensor switch option in my settings, is there an update I have to install?
It might be a silly question, but did you connect the speak wire to the main unit?
@@TheAutomotiveFanatic I did, I think. There was only 2 wires to connect to the unit. Sometimes the speaker works for a second though and then it cuts off and I can't get it to work again.
@@allsan6 I would send an email to Hansshow support to see if you might have a defective unit.
There is a loss of efficiency with the larger tires
You're correct to state that, but at the same time, you gain range because the overall diameter is larger. It's pretty much a wash.
GReat idea moving the rears to the front
Make a video Best practices for mirror cover (clip on model) replacement, please.
does it still work?
As of 5/24, it still works.
Can you connect a portable DVD player to this unit so that the children can watch their videos? What about mirroring from an iPhone?
Unfortunately, you cannot connect an external device to this screen. You can though, mirror from your iPhone.
Awesome, cheap hack! QuickJack should change its design to include these casters. A billion times better!! Thank you!!!!!
It's not a bad little hack at all!
@@TheAutomotiveFanatic Thank you again. Just lifted my car after the install. This is so genius. And now my QuickJacks slide around so easy when I need to move them. Forever grateful. 🙏
@@user-oy1re6vj8m That's awesome to hear!
do these also work for the 2024 model y's?
If you have the same rim setup, this will work.
are you running 89 oct with the jb+ or 91/93
I ran a minimum of 91 octane.
Would this setup apply to a 2023 MYLR with 19"gemini wheels? Thanks!
This would work for your 23' YLR
So it won’t an X either⁉️😡
You can try, but I do not believe it will work on a X.
Will you lose Tesla warranty connecting this?
Anything you change to your Tesla, could potentially void that particular part's warranty. If you're asking if having a screen would void your battery's warranty, absolutely not.
Well this video didn't age well, LMAO
What happened since this video?
@@ImSurizon Nag is being eliminated by Tesla with the next update.
Didn't work in my first test. The red light flashes on the unit but then doesn't do anything. I only went 33mph. Do you need to go faster?
Hey Matt, thanks for the input. This might be a silly question, but did you turn the unit on? I believe the unit you have, maybe one of the prior generations that was not turned on by default. Reach out to the EVOOOR support team and they can send you directions.
@@TheAutomotiveFanatic thanks for the quick reply. I did send them an email already. However I did not realize you needed to, or even could turn it on. Don't remember seeing any buttons or anything about that.
@@TheAutomotiveFanatic it's a tsl2
@@mv2woods That might be one of the older version. I would have EVOOOR send you directions. I can't remember the specific sequence to the the device on/off. Let's see if EVOOOR replies to you.
Just ordered mine today, how long did it take to get yours in?
Jay, the product is coming from China. When they sent me mine, it took roughly 2-3weeks.
If not bothered about destroying the diffuser being removed, is it ok to swap out (for a new oem diffuser) with the bumper in place? Am replacing an existing damage diffuser.
I would not recommend that you pull it out. The clips which help hold the OEM diffuser in, could break, or deform. This would cause issues with your new diffuser not fitting properly.
The diameter of the spacer is much smaller than the rotor surface. There's much less contact now with the wheel; not good
Thank you Henry for your comment. As intuitive as your comment is on the spacers, it's not necessarily true. Almost every spacers on the market for the 3/Y do not match the size of the hub. What I find as being MOST important though, would be to have hubcentric spacers with the highest quality studs (12.9). If the spacers have both of these factors, you should be safe.
Hey Peter ! Man I might be making a change. Considering swapping out the wife's daily errands car for an electric car. As we are both technically retired, most of our daily trips are to the store and back. Typical 5-30 mile round trip. Meeting our older kids or taking our youngest (nearly 19) to the mall ect... Even in these cases 50 miles round trip. We only do the 1,000 mile road trip (including 1-2 weeks in town driving) to visit family up north 2-4 times a year which I would plan on renting a large SUV (as my kids are now all adults) for a road trip or fly and rent large SUV or 2 smaller vehicles for in town driving. I am considering the Tesla Model Y , Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 or Mustang Mach-E, all in Performance/extended dual motor trims. I have decided it may be time as although I live in a bit of a rural area in NC my area is very affluent and I am seeing more and more chargers at most stores, free charging while shopping. Teslas are already as abundant here as standard run of the mil 40-60k gasoline cars. Teslas are literally everywhere here, hence perhaps the addition of so many chargers. You have likely already done the research. Of the cars listed, do you have driving experience? Research to weigh pros and cons of each? I think we would be easier adjusted to the non Teslas given the Teslas have no digital screen directly in front of the driver and no heads up display. I have an appointment today to pick up a Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited AWD version (the most luxurious/performance model, excluding the newest Ioniq 5 N, which does not interest me because this vehicle will not be purchased particular for a performance fun car). Thanks, James
Hey James, great to hear from you! My response could potentially take up an entire page, so I'll email you directly. It's great though, that you're considering an EV. I absolutely love the EV life in conjunction with the high-performance ICE cars I own.
Should we fit it as in this video belore the air intake box pr use the maf sensor right after the intake(above the intake like you have in your other video)
Mr V, the way I installed the device here, is how BMS recommended it for this particular vehicle.
Where did you order that trimming from?
It's been a few years so I am not for sure if they sell these anymore.
Question: were the upgraded Beru coils worth it?
100%, I never had any misfires or issues what so ever.
@@TheAutomotiveFanatic Thanks, Porsche recommends 5 of the new Beru with 1 of the old to avoid clearance issues. Does this make sense to you?
@@TheAutomotiveFanatic I forgot to mention I have a 997.2, a 2011 Carrera
@@jaketherake71 Absolutely not. In my research, I have not heard of Porsche wanting to replace only 5.
@@TheAutomotiveFanatic ok, I think it was Pelican parts recommendation to 997.2 owners.
I’m having trouble with a misfire, and ideas what you think it could be? I just replaced spark plugs and coil pack (Audi s3 8v : I installed rs3 coil pack and oem plugs)

Hi Peter, Thank you so much for a very helpful video. I clicked like and subscribed to your youtube channel. I ordered the Tparts console data transmission module and installed it on my new Tesla Model Y (It was built in December 2023, I bough it last month during the inventory discount time frame at Tesla Fremont CA, it has only 8 miles on the odometer), but unfortunately there is no USB port on the ECU unit at all. I took a picture of the ECU unit and want to share it with you, but there is no option to attach a picture here. At least I tried, so I guess I just have to listen only to the radio then.
Send the photo to: theautomotivefanatic@yahoo.com
Did you do 20mm on front and back?
Yes, I installed the 20mm spacers on the front and back wheels.
