DJI Mavic Air beeping controller
I noticed my beeping problem goes away if I "exercise" the sticks before turning on the controller. Might not help in your case, but worth a try..

There was a slight breeze. I didn't think it was a problem. Turns out I was wrong. I ended up landing about 450 meters from the take-off point. - This video was recorded by the drone camera, then interpolated to 60fps from the original 20fps in editing. - I used a wifi extender phone to get more than stock range. Here's some long distance flying (at least for a toy drone), made possible by external antenna mod and a wifi extender. There was also some tailwind: usually the Visuo flies at about 20km/h, but here the average speed was closer to 30 km/h For this flight the drone chose wrong white balance, and the image was too green. Let's put some "lipstick on a pig" and improve the footage from Visuo drone with fake-60fps interpolation and stabilization. I think the smoothness is worth it, but it does generate some unwanted artifacts as well. There's also tutorial for Adobe Premiere pro 2017 users.

I don't know if it was cold weather ( 2 c) or my questionable solderings or contact resistance, but I got only 12 minutes of flight time out of a Sony VTC6 cell. I noticed that a guy at NERDVille youtube channel did much better, although he flew indoors. Music: Anantasound - Impression rising sun

Git2 attachment strap weight was 73 grams. Visuo seems really struggle with this weight. I think most power goes to just keeping the combination in the air, and there's very little power to actually maneuver the craft, and it easily drifts with even a slight wind. Visuo xs809hw antenna hole mod with over 1 kilometer range test

Make a hole on your drone, poke the wifi antenna out, and use a $10 wifi extender to get a range of over 1 kilometer. I Don't know what I did wrong with mine, but the quadcopter now seems to yaw slowly to the right. So proceed with caution with this mod.. EDIT: I rearranged the wires inside the craft and now it goes straight. i guess there was some interference.

Testing a toy drone with 10$ wifi range extender. It goes pretty far. I also noticed that it often disconnects at much closer ranges when you turn the craft around to come back. So the best reception seems to be behind the craft.

For those who couldn't make it work, try spinning it without the stick lever so it has a greater angle. it worked for me

What size and ghz of antenna did you use on the drone, ? You did well 👏 with a cheap drone
It's the same antenna as in previous thumbnail pictures, and it uses 2.4ghz.
Sometimes motors running and the busy processor on the drone can influence the wifi performance negatively. Which could explain why the distance you got decreased so much when you did flight tests.

Theres 2 antennas on the drone to modify. FPV and Control. Just drilling holes for the existing antennas to come out the top of the drone vertically is probably good enough, as most whips are just pieces of wire the same length as stock with plastic on them. I see at least double range by doing that and putting an sma mounted antenna on the controller.
