St.Kilda v Sydney Round 17 2024
The Saints produced one of the most enthralling upsets of the season, kicking four goals to none in the fourth quarter overrun the first-placed Swans in a Marvel Stadium thriller. In an ironic turn of events, Logan McDonald again ended up with the game on his boot, lining up for goal with a minute and a half in a chance to give the Swans the lead. But McDonald missed the shot and the Saints were able to hold on for the final minute in one of the wins of the season.

An Inaccurate Port moved to 5-2 this season with its 13th win from its last 14 meetings with St Kilda. The Power found a way to hold off the plucky Saints, who responded well from a 60-point defeat to the Western Bulldogs last week. The Power were forced to play out the final quarter with just two fit players on the bench after losing Rozee and Powell-Pepper during the third quarter.

Lenny Hayes plays his final game for the Saints in Melbourne, as the Saints debut a young forward in Spencer White who they have high hopes for. The Tigers were sitting in 9th spot and had to win this match to keep their finals hopes alive, whilst the Saints were headed for the wooden spoon sitting in last place with only 4 wins.
Collingwood v St.Kilda Round 18 1997

On this day in 1997 the Saints faced the Magpies in a huge game at the MCG in front of just under 70,000 people. The Saints were in 3rd place on the ladder and Collingwood were one win outside the top 8. It would be a costly day for the Saints losing young star Joel Smith to a serious knee injury, which would ultimately mean this would be his last ever game for the Saints.
St.Kilda v Western Bulldogs Round 6 2024
zhlédnutí 232Před 14 dny
The Saints were coming off a 5 day break and looked tired and spiritless against a Aaron Naughton led ruthless Western Bulldogs side. Naughton kicked an equal career-high six for the night in what was a goal-kicking masterclass from the Bulldogs, slotting their first 12 set shots of the game to cruise to a big victory under the roof at Marvel Stadium.
Brisbane v St.Kilda Round 17 2021
zhlédnutí 299Před 14 dny
The Saints produced their best footy of the 2021 season to demolish Brisbane by 32 points at Metricon Stadium and keep its finals hopes alive. The Saints were magnificent from the opening bounce, hustling and bustling the Lions into errors, and executing an exciting run-and-gun game-plan to pull off a massive upset, and hold the Lions to their second-lowest score of 2021.

The Bombers are undefeated after the first 3 games and the Saints are coming off their first win of the season in 2013 following a big 72 point win over GWS in Round 3 as an emotional Brendon Goddard faces up against his old team for the first time.
Brendon Goddard - St.Kilda Career Highlights 2003 - 2012

Brendon Goddard was a star for St.Kilda, and a proven big finals game performer. After being selected with the number 1 pick, he received a lot of criticism in his early years. He was building into a star performer when he suffered a serious knee in 2007 that sidelined him for 12 months. Once he returned in early 2008 he began to fulfil his potential and was in St.Kilda's best few players in th...

zhlédnutí 273Před 28 dny
The Saints were 4 points outside of the top 8 but with a superior percentage than teams 7th and 8th they had to win to keep their finals hopes alive. This would be a thriller that went down to the final second with a controversial Harry O'Brien free kick in the dying seconds.

The Giants held off a fast-finishing St.Kilda by just one point at Manuka Oval in an unlikely thriller. Four consecutive second-half goals saw the Giants break away and position themselves for a fifth straight win, but they received an almighty late scare, with the Saints kicking the final six goals of the match to almost turn around a 35-point deficit and trail by a solitary point with 41 seco...
St.Kilda v Adelaide Round 13 2021

Adelaide was scoreless for the first 45 minutes. Then, somehow, a 36-point deficit turned into an insane six-point win over St Kilda in the craziest game of 2021. No. 2 pick Riley Thilthorpe was the hero for the Crows, snapping a miraculous goal over his head with just under two minutes to play to give Adelaide the lead for the first time for the whole game.

Great win Sainter Boys. Nice to see the dogged gritty determination there... and wonderful run of goals to come from behind.
Sheesh, I'd forgotten how lousy a single camera Television coverage could be. Still twas an interesting game.
saintsational win i remember watching the whole game at my house

Thanks for the upload. Games from the 80s are terrific.
I loved big Carl, he certainly left a few bodies laying around. Go Saints.
Anytime I watch the passage beginning with "the toe poke" my spine just tingles uncontrollably.
Hey! Can you please do 2017 Saints vs North? I went to the game and it was epic because it was Riewoldt’s last home game and the fans were chanting his name but I can’t find it!
do,u,have,whole,match,of,st,kilda,vs,carlton,round,7,2007?
It honestly means nothing to me that it's played at the MCG and not Vic Park or Moorabbin.
Incredible skill! His ability to hit targets and goals during key moments in the 2009/2010 season was electrifying. Thankyou for uploading. Keep up the good work :)
Where do you get these full game videos
Scary that 2nd quarter. The total aggregate the teams kicked 19.7.121 is an all time AFL record for a quarter.
I was there it was an epic contest, decent rivalry there for a while since the preseason cup win by Saints over Cats in 2004, both up and coming teams back then, from a Cats man
The game i tipped we would blitz em @ metricon way more hope than gabba
Alan Jeans sounds like Mike Patterson, pity coaches of today don't speak like those two.
If there’s ever been a grand final and a season where the best team didn’t win this is it.
Love seeing BJ back where he belongs now!
Round 4
Why was Plugger out? Suspension or injury?
Was out with a back injury.
Daniel Bustin r u ok ?
I loved him, wish he hadnt left the club. If we'd won that tied GF his mark and goal would be as famous as Jesaulenko
I forget how seamless he fit into the lineup and looked like absolute class.
what an incredible last 6 mins, with 7 goals kicked! saints nearly had it
Gee I’d be devo if my clubs football archive posted a loss like this.
Thanks for your positive feedback. It is an archive library of all Saints games, win, lose or draw. Unfortunately can't remove this game from the annals of history....it happened!
Well I’m sure you have made a lot of hawks fans happy.
@@JRHDivisionyou probably can’t even do a key popper.
@@JRHDivision you sound like the kind of bloke that looks like a gum boot on the 3m springboard.
@@matthewmullen9333 do I smell pwee?
This the harry o , sook match ?
crazy to think this Saints Club made a GF in 97, then sat tied atop after 14 rounds at 11-3 then proceeded to go 18-56-1 over the next 2 and a half years.
Saints always easybeats for the mighty Cats
Im 55, Plugger is the best St Kilda player Ive ever seen just in front of Robert Harvey.
Ah the bad old days at Colonial Stadium. Crummy turf, terrible lighting, crowds scared away by fully allocated seats on the bottom tier and barely a soul on the middle tier because it was all sold off! Great game though - still astounds me we gave the Wakelins away for peanuts.
It happens in footy my team at the same time gave Sav Rocca away for penuts to
Well we essentially got Aaron Hamill for Darryl...
@@gordonleslie5264 true. I feel like Carlton would have taken anything for Hamill given they accepted Sam Cranage in the deal! Shane was the loss - did very well at the pies.
We played good footy in those days
@@ray.shoesmith much more entertaining. You can see watching this that Watson had no real gameplan though. Barely even made any interchanges!
I follow Carlton, but I always loved watching Locket, Dunstall and Abblet do their majic, it was wonderful in the 80s 90s
This was the first game on the seven network since the 2001 Grand Final
One umpire Jolly did a fantastic job . Don’t need 4 umpires !!
A true CHAMPION the most AWARE player lve ever seen
Was an absolute privilege watching him play for South Fremantle. The team was packed full of stars when he rocked up as a shy teenager, but it was obvious from day one he was bound for greatness.
Can’t ever forget that scoreline: 47:00 With nine min 20 seconds to go in the second half, Crows were still bone motherless scoreless and we still lost! 😢
Nah, wasn’t Broderick… u fortunately, by boss Gary Fenton who paid for it is no longer with us… he may have remembered.
Poor crowds back then!
I think the commentator said shit very faintly
I had my swans workmate over i was able to call him 101 for awhile after this what a game woohoooo❤
Love the disagreements in the commentary box. EJ what a legend
The most historical grand final ever!
this game broke my heart
1:57:01 can’t believe Sydney went on to lose that, oh wait. (The commentary).
rarely have they played at the docklands, dont read too much into their recent domination over us, plus many have been close
St Kilda’s Spiro’s last game in the AFL… two Spiros played in the game!
Thanks, some real highlights there. And lots of handball and play-on football. That started well before the 1970 GF.
I was there! It's the ultimate being at a winning Grand Final. Nothing like it. When Harry Taylor had it at the end, I stood up and said "Don't hurry it. Hold onto the ball! Take your time".
“Kicking his 5th goal, Lockett well held” 😂😂only Tony Lockett could be well held but kick 5 goals
