死者が出てもおかしくない撮影で日米の今では、伝説とも言える俳優達が出てます。日本の独自性のある撮影方法が使われコレは、映画の歴史に残る作品です。

日本軍はカッコいい しかし、今の日本にこのような勇ましさは無い

撮影で（4:03〜）米軍機が地上で破壊されるかなり危険なシーンがありますが、爆発に巻き込まれて俳優やエキストラの人が大怪我とか亡くなられた方とかはいなかったんでしょうか。知っている方教えてください。

日本海軍機は民間機を狙っていない。B29をはじめとする米軍機は日本本土の民間もターゲットにして、たくさんの死傷者を出した。

たぶんこれを超える真珠湾攻撃の作品は出てこないだろうね。 古い映画だけど4K化とかで現在にも通用する作品になっている。

I've seen it as a child in early 80's. On the second side of the Iron Curtain in Polish TV. There were not many American movies here in that times. But as my country was under communist occupation any movie showing American defeat was allowed.

The title of this video needs to be corrected. "Tora! Tora! Tora!" is a code for "Our troops have succeeded in the surprise attack", but not "Attack! Attack! Attack!." The literal translation of "Tora, Tora, Tora" into English is "Tiger, Tiger, Tiger."

Those scenes with the planes on the ground exploding are amazing. I guess they made life-size mockups and actually blew them up? The stunt men running around in those scenes are pretty amazing too. Edit: I scrolled down in the comments and saw it was a real accident with a real plane that happened on set. LOL

The stunts in this movie had to have been incredibly dangerous for the time.No CGI.The attacks on the airfield with P-40s exploding into flames looks insane dangerous.If I recall some stunt members were badly injured making this film, makes complete sense by the looks of it.Just a incredible film its so good in every aspect and detail.

Great movie remember watching it with my parents. The day America was caught sleeping. We should always be vigilant with what's going on today .with Iran North Korea China and Russia. Rip all brothers.

Just three battleships were lost...the rest were refloated, repaired and joined the fight later. As it turned out, the Pearl Harbor attack was a huge blunder, not just because the US Navy lost only three battleships; Yamamoto's aim was to completely annihilate the US fleet, especially the aircraft carriers. The objective was not achieved and, because of that, Yamamoto looked to get done what hadn't been done at Pearl at Midway, which turned out to be a disaster for the Imperial Japanese Navy.

"Tora" doesn't mean "attack", it means means "Tiger". It was not the order to attack. Repeated three times, it notified the Japanese fleet that the attacking force had successfully surprised the American fleet.

I was stationed in Oahu during the filming in 1969. Many of the military extras were actually active duty Navy. Some speaking parts were even local TV news people, (the two officers entering the admin building, where one says to get that pilot's name- both news reporters; the pretty girl sitting at bar- a local weather girl). I signed on for one day; an unforgettable experience. There was a warehouse full of period civilian & military clothes; antique vehicles, provided by local citizens; all sorts of mockups including virtually all the aircraft on the ground. The scenes were meticulously prepared; ie. the PBY that was blown up took all day to set up. I lived in Waienae at the time. It was routine to see a formation of Japanese aircraft, fly over. We viewed the film in Honolulu while it was premiered in NYC & Tokyo.
