**next vlog July 2024, due to some life events I have to delay posting, so sorry** i will put extra love into my next vlog, i promise :)
leaving med school after 7 months (◕︿◕)
Hey all! it's been almost a year since I’ve actively posted. I’ve been trying to survive the monstrous beast that was my first year of med school 😟 I didn't film most of my academic part as I was trying to focus and lost my "spark" along the way. Hopefully as I spend the next 4 months to recover, I will learn how to find balance between doing well in school and diving into my creative and social media outlets too (which includes connecting with you all more as well). Wondering if I should write anything negative, but I am happy to see that you were extremely lucky finding all the nicer places. I have lived in Sweden for nearly 50 years, so am more Swedish than English now. I had many wow experiences on arriving here as someone´s boyfriend, yet that soon wore off. It was so much cleaner than the UK, yet now I used to it and expect a better standard. The UK was terrible with rubbish blown into channels, railways etc, not nice to see. I also thought that Sweden had very little food culture of it´s own. Yet baked bread and confectionary looks much healthier. Yet the UK has no food culture either, they borrow from all the other countries. A roasted duck is about as good as it gets, yet not too healthy. You only got to see very nice places, so you were lucky this time. The architecture is only practical or functional at best here, as they let the mediums steer up most of the time. Very simple, clean and yet hard without feeling. No they do not have Castles here, they call a large Manor or Estate property a castle! Quite funny. Finally their love for shrimp if found everywhere and that Meatball dish with Lingon berries, was their national meal! Would have been nice to hear more from you regarding the Sauna and if it was ok? Pretty cold I expect, yet not everyone can afford one at home. Like your country, people are very materialistic which is a shame, two cars outside and gadgets for everything, yet time will make them better I guess

the long hotdogs are danish, not swedish. But many of us prefer them. Pressbyrån is a "convenience store" by trainstations or larger busstations. While we do have Coop too, the swedish Coop is ICA. We have the superior Hot cheetos, They are called Flaming hot cheese crunchers

I’m Swedish and I can tell u abut al the stuff u tried The Marabou is vary common everyone eats that it has many flavors, u tried Oreo and that’s very yummy The Gott & blandat its pretty common but not as popular I would say it’s not very yummy compare to Tutti Frutti another Swedish candy that’s almost the same but tastes better (especially the sour one) Plopp is one everyone knows about it’s very popular around kids:) The sour skallar I don’t think I’ve seen before but it’s called Lakris it’s not for everyone, for me it’s a big no but I have friends who likes it but from me stay away from black candy that’s lakrits:)
I did definitely not forget about the sandwich or what it’s called, also it’s pretty popular as it’s yummy and a perfect snack to bring to lie soccer practice or work or something like that, I don’t think Paprika is the best flavor but not the worst if u get what i mean:)

Swedish fish aren't actually that common in Sweden so it's kinda funny when she is searching for them. Also, no one would blame you for not liking Salt Skum (it's salted licorice), even I a Swede absolutlely hate it.

Swedish fish doesn’t exist in Sweden but is sold in other countries such as America where the market is big. Although we do have fish candies that looks similar to the Swedish fish by malaco in for example gott och blandat but the taste isn’t the same! ❤ ( Swedish fish are originated from Sweden but don’t sell here)

Pressbyrån is the same as 7eleven, we also have Coop. :) Buying snacks etc in pressbyrån/7eleven is like paying double the price, better that you go to grocery stores! Also "Swedish fish" - I do believe a Swedish company is behind it but it is made for the American market afaik.

Hey, om swedish and yes oreo chocolate is popular in Sweden, The swedish fish im kinda tierd of beacause it’s original in Sweden and only tast like strawberries but sometimes it doesn’t taste like it, Thoes black Sour gummies is called lakrits, it’s like law and krist, I know kinda weird haha 😝, and plop is good I kinda like that but u may get a little soggy on the fingers and sticky, And the vegan thing I kinda don’t like so much, the bread that u said was kinda dry but tasted healthy is called, Knäckebröd. Its a sort of bread that is dry and doesn’t taste so much, Some people loves knäckebröd. And the other stuff u tried is a 10/10 but you sould next time try Swedish drinks or Swedish Snacks, like popcorn or chips and the dip would make is better(dip it’s like a sauce u dip the chips in) by the way I love your videos and when you try other countries food! I wouldn't say these are five snacks, it's one snack and four kinds of candy. And the Oreo chocolate bar is probably the one that is the least like any other Marabou chocolate bar. The salt on the Salta S is not sodium chloride, liquorice become salty by adding another salt - ammonium chloride, or salmiak. Salmiak is very potent and is very diluted with sugar even for this extra salty candy. If you really want good liquorice you should visit Finland, they really make the best liquorice and salty liquorice. A small note on the translation app: Adjö has become a sort of archaic to say farewell ("farväl" is archaic as well). We simply say "hej då".
