Seemantham of Neelam Santa 24 March 2024 celebrated at Rajakilpakkam Chennai.
In normal English, it is described as the bangle ceremony where the pregnant woman is showered with glass bangles.
The glass bangles showered to the pregnant mother slipped into her hand by the relatives and close family members. The best days to perform the Valaikappu ceremony are during the odd months of pregnancy, most preferably the fifth or seventh month. This ritual is celebrated for the upcoming motherhood joy and ensures the good wealth of the mother and baby inside her womb.
Seemantham Ceremony Baby Shower (Valaikappu Function) is performed in the states of south India of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.
Seemantham Ceremony Baby Shower (Valaikappu Function) is also called a baby shower in the northern states of India. The word Seemantham describes the meaning of the hair parting process just above the eyebrows where Goddess Lakshmi, goddess of wealth repose. This Hindu ritual also includes the method of parting the hair and applying the kumkum between them to appease the Goddess Lakshmi.
It is believed that when a woman gives birth to a baby, she is considered to be Goddess Lakshmi.

Thanks Santhanam for sharing the experience. I find myself in resonance with the content. I appreciate that you are living the life what Howard is standing for. Howard character is liberating.. and it is quite possible to live that way. On the surface it gives a faux that not many can live like that character, but one can foresee that it is lot more easy if many starts to live like Howard, i mean the way of his being. Thanks for sharing. :-)

what will happen to this garbage? where r u sending it?? my house produces zero waste for last 2 years... just segregate at home. I use organic waste to make compost, rest garbage is recyclable. only 1 or 2 pc a month r toxic waste.

actually, i was quite impressed with the way it came. It was my mobile camera. I went on 26 Jan... Was on discount then Rs260/- And, usually it is 400/- I got to know of it on Sunday. My friend and his gang were going and there was a spot, so i joined...
