Great review but I don’t think it’s representative to when those 1 stars may have been booked. The fact that you were able to get even find an empty spot when you didn’t have a reservation shows it was in a very slow time. Pismo beach is wild! We spent many times shotgunning beers, late parties, getting woken up super early to quads, etc.

I stayed at that date farm a couple years ago. They never got the AC working, but they did fill a tub for us, which was pretty nice. Hopefully they got their power situation sorted since then.

I mean I'm from flag and who would decide to camp in any camp ground it's always going to suck a little less then just finding a spot in the woods and do real camping

The first one would only be good if it was dispersed camping and in the middle of nowhere! The third one, waaay to expensive for my taste and what they offer. But the second one?? WOW!!! It's perfection! Great price, full size pool (not that crap from #3) private Jacuzzi, and A/C in the yurt? can't go wrong! and so lush with all those palm trees. Loved it!

One of my family members has been employed with the State Park for over 20 years. There is a park across the freeway that my family member frequently complains about. He said they play loud music and are very loud in general but the Park Service has nothing to do with that camp. Oceano Dunes camping area is going to have people who turn into idiots after drinking alcohol so don't have the expectation that it is ever going to be a quiet campground. On holiday weekends it is such a madhouse that my family member has to grocery shop 3 days prior because the campers wipe out Vons so do most of your shopping before you leave or in a city on the way there. My Mother loved the camp area you are at and took my niece and nephew there frequently when they were little.

You should review the KOA on Boulder Highway in Las Vegas. Interesting place in a sketchy part of town.

Lived in CA for almost 50years. It has turned into a crap-hole. Pismo use to be awesome, but now it’s usually overly packed and loud. If you are homeless you have more camping rights than a tax payer. Last time I was there I found 6 used needles.

I stayed there in 2022 with my 35’ rv and albeit the space was small for my rig size and not super level, the time there was fine. The people were friendly (especially the maintenance guy who was quick to help the one time I asked) but the jump ballon thing was ripped and out of order. Otherwise a normal koa experience

Fun watch ! I stayed there a couple nites about 10 years ago. Looks upgraded. Homeless camp nearby.? Not good. Open.plan campground next to busy hiway is gonna have bad nites with assholes. The forced proximity to others is always a sign of likely trouble. You were there at a good time of week or year, probably but online ratings tend to be written by Karen’s. The rest of us knew the job was dangerous when we took it. So did you put some moves on Meagan ?

I've camped here every year, the past 3 years, for Overland Expo and I think it's a very convenient campsite, with nice amenities. Cheaper than hotels in that area! I love this site

I ACTUALLY MEANT TO SAY “THE COVE PALISADES STATE PARK” ITS IN OREGON AND THE DESCHUTES CAMPGROUND IS WITHIN IT, ITS ALSO STILL IN THE TOWN OF CULVER.(and if you do stay there, make sure that it will be sunny and that you see the sunrise, it will be the most amazing thing that you ever see.)
