cool guitar! I currently do not own an SG. I used to have a Tony Iommi Gibson SG but I never really bonded with it so I ended up selling it. The closest thing I have in my collection right now is a Guild s-100 Polara (import) but I am tempted to try a more standard style SG. I really like how the vibrola model LOOKS but I know for tuning stability that I should just go normal. I am not sure how good tuning stability is if I don't use the vibrola bar.

that guitar is so nostalgic for me, i def was tempted to get one when they came out. nice demo area too, looks like a great space.

i have seen these around but never tried them. i am a fan of p90 neck and humbucker in the bridge on guitars so i might have to give one of these a try. i am way late to the party but happy birthday =)

Is the guitar very light? The way you were handling it made me think that it wasn't a heavy guitar.These are great guitars, they sound like the perfect strat.I almost bout that same guitar in shell pink but it was all single coils.I should have bought it! I was obsessed with my horizon silver sky at the time but I didn't realise that 7.25" radius was never going to be the right radius for me.But my horizon was very light and resonant

this guitar brings back the memories. i had a blue jag-stang when i was in highscool. i mowed lawns and saved up all summer to buy it and the case. i don't remember the year it was though, i just remember it had the Designed by Kurt Cobain and Fender 50 Years of Excellence stickers.

i got bit by the flying V bug a few years ago and ended up stumbling across a gibson "v98" and picking one of those up since I couldn't afford a gibson korina flying V. i'm kinda GAS-ing for a 70s flying V in white though to add to the collection....

these are great guitars for the money especially with the case. i had an anaconda burst slash when these came out a few years ago and i really liked it. i ended up only selling it because i ran out of guitar stand spots (i have serious GAS spells too)

It is a beautiful guitar, and I love the new range of inspired by Gibson designs. Les Pauls have always been heavy guitars. I like the weight of the guitar, but I'm over 6 foot tall. They definitely are not good for your shoulders and neck if you're shorter than 5'7. Epiphones are never going to be loaded with the same pickups as it's Gibson equivalent, it makes no business sense. However, if you want Slash's pickups, Slash has been using Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro Humbuckers since 1986. BTW, they're not too expensive.

How much does this one weigh? Just curious as I recently got one. Great guitar but on the heavier side for an SG. Not to heavy or anything though.

The Gibson / Epiphone Les Paul scale is shorter than Fender Strat scale so these guitars are better for those of us with smaller hands. I will never go back to Fender.

I have the Gibson and had the Epiphone, the Epiphone is almost as good, don't bother spending an extra $2k

Yah they have that big block where the body meets the neck, no good just the same as all fender made in Mexico Stratocasters! Yuck.... hahaha 🤣🤣🤣😂🤣😂!

My fav amp. I use a GT Core with mine. And I use my tube amp with it and blend them. Mine is just black Tolex. But Im 47 and grew up with these so I had the one from the 70’s growing up. And its exactly the same as far as I can tell. A tip I like to do. Just for stereo, I will click it on either chorus or trem turned all the way down, so I get stereo but not really any of the FX. I also jumper channel 1 into channel 2 with a small patch cable. Gove it a shot! Have fun and enjoy! Youre so nice I enjoy your channel. That said this is my fav amp of all time. The distortion they say sucks but, they just dont know how to use it. Youre having fun and that makes me happy on my end.

64 is the one with the chunky C profile neck isnt it? My 64 335 does.. But Im looking at an SG my 2nd favorite guitar. But slim taper is not my thing. I got the same patina type finish. Put your own wear on it. It ages fast just sitting in the case it yellows nicely. My ring finger and pinky shake like that too and Ive been playing 30+years. Mine shakes from my anxiety meds. Not the anxiety. Check into that maybe? It gets worse with caffeine and nicotine. I play 8’s Cobalt.. give them a shot!

Love your playing. You have no reason to be anxious about playing in front of anyone. You’re a musician, and part of being a musician is loving what you play while playing what you love. Love my SG. For a long time I played Ibanez, and then Fender, etc. eventually, later in, I startled playing Gibsons and they just felt like a great old broken in baseball glove to me. They just….fit me. Keep playing and enjoying your guitar. You sound great!
