Welcome all! Formerly vacmasterthegreat for many years now, I am focusing more on the automotive projects I work instead of the vacuum collection. Collecting isn't going away, just taking a backburner. As always, hope you enjoy

Tutorial; how to replace 82-93 s10/s15/sonoma, blazer and Jimmy heater core

1st time attempting a video like this. @ 10:30 mins is actually the 1st video I made while wrapping up on the 1st s10 heater core. Hence the preface to the removal process as I didn't intend on making a follow-up with the 2nd truck. Overall, both jobs took about an hour each from start to finish.

I've been using my Can Vac for 30-plus years, and it's been nothing but fantastic. But in the last month it started making a "howling" sound. I've taken it apart and it doesn't seem to be a bad bearing (my first thought). Rather, it seems to be some sort of resonance coming from the perimeter of the widest part of the motor housing. Can't really figure out how to stop that noise. Any suggestions?
the howling is most likely a bearing, or the fan has warped over time. Wouldn't know which bearing until you start replacing them in trial and error. high speed creates the sound.
Love a good Panasonic!
I have the convertible dual voltage here in the uk the cable is really thick on it with an American 3 pin plug on it, has the switch underneath to change from 110 volt to 220/240 volts Apparently my one was sold on military bases over there for people that got loved about from the states over to Europe and back and saved them having to keep replacing appliances every time they moved, we did have a version for sale in the 80s here in ❤the Uk called the powerplus dual voltage which worked exactly the same
These are called hoover turbomaster here in the uk, always found them quite easy to work on, If you fancy selling it at any point I’d gladly buy it from you and pay for the shipping to the UK
How do you change the bags in the kenmore power center
@@angelarose1090 the zipper down the middle
I enjoy your videos. I had shark it performed better than I thought
Sharks pick up and perform very well, however they're parts availability and repairability is another story.
Next time May you please show the entire room ❤
You got lucky he didn’t dare go as far as going into the motor. He probably would’ve messed up the carbon brushes and the wiring. How he messed up a brushroller that is simple to put back together is beyond me. Ten bucks for a rare machine like this isn’t bad at all.
I was never a fan of the soft bag hoovers
Aside from thinking they look better, I realized you don't have to worry about running into furniture with them either
I had to keep my eyes on the vacuums I was been looking for and I’m still keeping my eyes on those and and it’s gonna take me a long year to do this in a decade to do this and I will search for him. I will find them and I’ll keep my eyes on on these older vacuums I need to find for my collection is bissell powerpartner 800 and bissell microlock 7stage and the power groom bagged upright all those 90s machines are the bissell our soft bag and hardbody box I’m still keeping an eye on those in my hometown in Oklahoma City and I’ve been collecting vacuums for my whole life and I have autism. I have higher higher functional and I’m a very smart dude I can fix on the older vacuums are made from the 70s and 80s and 90s and I’ve been refurbished them newer. I can re-fix them and I’m really good at stuff like that. I’m really good at changing belts and brush rolls and blades, and the bearings on the vintage bissells are from the 90s. I can fix on those a lot and I’ll buy parts for it on eBay. That’s what I do.
Nice! I cant believe i passed one up myself. What a cool machine!
Wait till you have to work on one, if you haven't already 🙄😒
Lucky! Very lucky!
😃nice summary
Wish I could try that model of the Dyson
The Cinetic Big ball only has two exhaust filters as its supposed to be the "filter-less" model. The rubber tipped cyclones were supposed to spin everything out of the air, however, those never worked which is why these got discontinued.
The kinetic big ball had no filters well at least no motor filter. It had a HEPA filter, but I don’t think it was serviceable.
Yeah it has two and they're a pain to get to.
Newer Dysons have completely done away with the DC model identification. Good video as always.
how to I order the swivel part? it is cracked.

Thanks, it sure feels like a long time remembering my roots
Welcome
This is one great vacuum
It’s a freaking bagless all bagless vacuums are just junk
Were these bypass or direct air? The Regina Electrikbroom and Hoover Quikbroom II were direct air I know! Always wondered if these were same with the older Hoover Quikbrooms?
I honestly don't know nor have I ever investigated

Nice Celeb II S3073 catch - especially for 25 bucks.
Do you still have the blue Kenmore that you were going to sell
Yes
@@Vacmasterthegreat cool that kenmore was actually in the thumbnail of the second video ever made on this Chanel back in 2010
Looks Great! I hear Foreigner Feels Like the First Time playing in the background my favorite band & song!! 😃🎸
The radio is always on in my house/garage
Do you still have the red and green swivel glides?
No
@@Vacmasterthegreat damn I would’ve bought the green one off of you and fun fact about the green dirt devil swivel glide. The first video I ever saw on your channel when I was a little kid was your review of that Vacuum back in 2011
Good to see that vacuum after 14 years since this vacuum debuted on the channel in 2010
A D4SE. Nice.
That Bissell clean view that you featured in a video which was the one that you loaned to your neighbor, which was the dumbass that lost the filter and fucked the motor over before he fixed it was the same Vacuum that I had when I was a kid like it was the exact one with the same stickers, same color and it’s pretty rare now and it officially turned 20 years old last year
I used to have that same exact Vacuum when I was little apparently a belonged to my dad he bought it when he was 17 in 2003 and that one ended up breaking so we trash picked another one which is a 2004 Bissell power force bagless model, 6594
how much for a conqueat
I only have the one and its basically a parts machine.
@@Vacmasterthegreat ok thanks
Nice
Thank you for the video. I changed my heater core out in 2 hours, because of your video.
Glad it worked for you. What was the biggest snag?
@@Vacmasterthegreat getting the plastic heater core box off.
Why was the dynamite cyclonic discontinued
Wow, that certainly sounds like a chainsaw. I think it is the brushroll bearings that is causing the noise since it only does it when it is in the upright position. This is like one of the only good Bissell’s ever made.
May I ask if you can sell me the bag, since you are not using it. Thank you
I love that color scheme, hopefully I can find one someday for my collection.
Thanks for sharing. I was losing hope of ever getting any help for tackling this job.
Of course, glad I was helpful.
10th comment
LOL! Sometimes even those skilled in vacuum repair can overlook the simple things. All that work and it was just lacking a bag.
Is this a vacuum that you would want to have if it didn't have that fan problem? Would you recommend if it's still available to this day?
Me personally, not really. The one thing it does have going for it is the belt driven brush roll, which is a positive over nost small pickup machines out there utilizing dc motors for their nozzles
Is the dirt devil touch up a vacuum that you would like to have if it did not have the fan issue? Would you recommend it if it was still available?
I still have my Kenmore PowerPath Model# 116.37213793 upright that I bought new in 1999. Mine is blue. I for one think it still out performs the new cyclone style bagless vacs. And I just learned after 25 years, that there are filters in-line prior to the bag. Next bag replacement, I shall clean or replace the filters.
Sounds quiet
Your autumn gold/dark seal greige Handivac could either be the first Handivac Model 2900 or the Model 2911 - incidentally the same color scheme as the Canadian Model 2902. The 2900 was manufactured from 1966 to 1974 , and the 2911 from 1967 to 1968. Others thought it might be the Model 2901, but its color scheme is seal griege medium and dark. Thanks for posting.
