Headshot then animation and then melee attack. Shotgun Leon is the best. Discard everything except shotgun. Fun.

Not that this is bad, but... it is bad for 1000 hours. I've seen people with less than 10% of that in Mercenaries do way better. No hit, full combo, almost maximized points. People were doing that like a week after it came out.

Man, if this is yiu, very nice work! Back in the day, my friends and I were insanly good at Mercenaries when the first one came out on GameCube. We played it for a LONG TIME! We beat it countless times to get all the unlockables, then started on Mercenaries. We eventually got the handcannon. Capcom really killed the replay value by making stuff purchasable or as part of a bundle. I would t have played the older ones nearlynas long if I could just pay a $1 to get the u loadable instead of play for nearly 3 days straight without sleeping so I wouldn't forget anything to get the playtime down to 2:15(Rocket Launcher in Resident Evil 1 Remake GC 2002). Good times! What made it good was that it was new, this kind of game play is common now, but the OG RE4 started it all! The 2002 remake of 1 was great and so was the beefed up version on PC etc. The 2 & 3 remakes were fantastic too, it had been so long and thwy really gave it a good spin and fluff to make it feel great and true to thw original while spicing it up with new mechanics now and then. However, they should have waited to do 4 with the next main game Engine. Same with Code Veronica. I heard talk of a Re-Re Remake of 1 for the 30 year anniversary in 2026, if they used a newer version of the REngine and take their time, if should be great. However, the RE4 Remake felt too much like the original at least as far as the "jump" in presentation. I don't really care how it looks in some respects I would rather play the original on my Wii(motion knife swipe and motion aim make it so much smoother). I was kinda bummed that it wasn't going to be an option. I'm not saying it's bad, it just didn't need to be made yet. They just had like 5± games + DLC come out in short order, and they don't see that different. The action, tone, and pace was contrasted between the 2 & 3 remakes, so they being so similar looking didn't stand out. But then 4 didn't feel like a Remake of 3 as much as the 2/3 games were themed like 4. Just a thought / opinion i figured I would share. Once again, I'm not saying it's bad or stupid. I just think thwy should have waited. Making it later with a better engine/version of engine (for VIIII) and utilizing the new capabilities would have felt more consistent with the progression of the remake releases. It kinda lost momentum for me. I wish I liked it more. End Rant
