I find that anything below 2 semitones starts to degrade the signal - or I should say - starts to muddy it. But it works okay for up to 4 or 5 semitones down (or up).

I'm back... again 😅 Been watching your new videos and rewatching some of the old ones 😊 About the writers block - If you have some ocd, or you think that your ideas are not good enough - don't think about it. My friend has the same thing - he writes a lot of demos, lots of great material and he's too hard on himself. Just be yourself - you don't have to proove anything; I'm still ocassionaly listening to Freefall: Alpha and Disconnection. Great albums. And of course, one of my old time favourites - Shadow. The chorus to Shadow is stuck in my head still to this day, after all these years. I'm not kidding - my top 3 metal choruses are from Shogun by Trivium, Shadow, and Taking over me by Evanescence. So, Brandon - give us more of your art!

Had a good time with that video at the beginning of the year. But lately I've been into trying VR for the first time. Got some content I'm recording and editing for the gaming channel : Beyond Xen. I would put it before the distortion pedal so the DI itself is affected first.

Hi :) Although it's been years since I've used the UX2, I found someone who left a comment on a Line 6 forum that should be of some help. In summary, you'll apparently have to adjust the input gain inside of your DAW such as in Reaper. I'm pretty sure I never bothered with the gain when I used this interface. But in case you are also using Reaper, here's what I found. This is a quote from Digideus: (Quote) "If you(r) guitar signal is low/high, you can use the Pod farm plugin to adjust it, but the track display in Reaper shows you the FX you are using post-input, so adjusting the volume will have no effect on the input gain. Luckily, when using Reaper, there is a "Track Input FX gain" for each track. To access it, arm the track you are recording onto, then right click on the meter section of the track display and "Track Input FX Gain" is the option at the bottom of the pop up menu. I simply put an instance of Pod farm on this with a blank patch, and that lets me adjust the input level accordingly via the "input" knob at the top of the plugin." (End of Quote) I hope that helps you man.

Many years ago when I first started playing guitar, I wrote a song I called "Surge" that had simple power cords with synth overlayed on top. I've enjoy harkening back to that old style of mine. 🎹 I only wish I had the skill to play guitar sweeps over those notes. That'd take a lot of practice because it doesn't come natural to play fast.

@BrandonBurch sweeping is pretty difficult, so I get that entirely. Keep working on it and you'll get there. I'd also love to hear Surge sometime. Rock on man!
