hyunjin eating the flower and burning might also symbolize letting go of the past,since this is the first she’s activated her odd eye at all since choosing to go to earth with heejin instead of being with kim lip and jinsoul. lore wise she probably chose not to go the path of having powers and just live a normal life like we can kinda see in her solo mv, but she has to save yeojin. also the mirror probably has something to do with what she can do.

I love the video! I wanted to mention that the flower Hyunjin is eating, being from Japan, reminds me of the 2JIN Predebut video for "I'll Be There" with yellow being her assigned color and Japan being her assigned country. I know lore that far back is likely outdated, but it seems like too much of a reference to be a coincidence. When you say she takes the responsibility of eating the fruit herself, it might also reference the lyrics to that video of being a dependable person you can lean on in times of need. The choreography is also interesting to note being that it's a mirrored choreo, and although she was with Heejin in the video, Hyunjin is often seen as Cheorry's mirror. In some LoonaTVs they mentioned that they liked to play with the fact that Choerry and Hyunjin look similar or sisterly to each other, and in some very old Loonaverse predebut contents there are shuffle units where Choerry and Hyunjin explicitly switch places in their respective subunits. I do think Hyunjin's power has something to do with communication between the realms, but not being a traveler herself, unlike Choerry who seemed to be the only one with the power to do that pre-love4eva. (I could be wrong here, I am largely going off of memory lol) Maybe the flames a call to the Burn era? This video has me rewatching the teasers from that era and I noticed that in the teaser #3, Yeojin again has a group of people chasing her, but they're in student uniform and she stands still with her back facing the camera (like everyone else) allowing them to catch her. One of the themes of that teaser and So What is that we only see one side of the moon and never the back of it (from earth). I think the initial concept of So What was very straightforward, but they could be referencing it again in order to assign a more nuanced meaning when it comes to the duality of women. Like the video may be expanding on the grey area in-between the bright and dark side of the moon? Idk, your video has really inspired me to start theorizing myself. I think you're right about Hyeju being a rebel, but more of her being the leader of a rebellion, like her role in So What. I think every member of Loona is considered rebellious by the story themes, but Hyeju coming from a place where she had no courage and then becoming the person who is the first to throw the flame is quite interesting. Again, great video, and I can't wait to see more when the MV comes out!! Edited for typos and I apologize if some of this is very rambily, I'm just excited to see more Loona theory videos<3 One more edit! On the burn era point, the last thing said in the monologue at the beginning of So What is "burn yourself". Hyunjin might be doing just that by eating her flower!
