Are you looking for a new place to visit or live? I know I am, which is why I started this channel. I comb through data to find which communities are worth checking out, as well as which ones should be avoided. Along the way, I also make videos about any interesting things that I uncover about these places, such as who the richest people are, or which states have the happiest people. If you find data, geography, trivia and generally nerdy things to be fascinating, be sure to subscribe to the channel!

Is Kansas City Better or Worse Than Chicago???
Chicago is often mentioned by politicians as being one of the worst cities in the country when it comes to crime, particularly violent crime, as well as poverty. But does Chicago deserve all the hate it receives? Maybe another Midwest city that is also known for its BBQ and Jazz music is worse? Is Kansas City an alternative destination for those who are considering Chicago? In this video, I compare and contrast the two cities to see which one is the better option for those looking for a new place to live.

Fun Summer Activities in Michigan
zhlédnutí 102Před 14 dny
Summer is here, and that means it's time for a vacation or a day trip! But with everything being so ridiculously inflated these days, some people might be forced to stay within their own region, so I started thinking about things that could be enjoyed in my region of the country, the Midwest. It turns out that Michigan has quite a few cool things to do and see, and they're not all in Detroit. T...
The 7 Poorest Places in Maine
zhlédnutí 478Před měsícem
All across the United States, there are communities grappling with poverty, lack of affordable housing, food insecurity, and other issues related to low income jobs. However, some states are better at handling and addressing those issues than others. Maine is one of those states. Even their poorest communities are usually more safe than those in other states. In this video, we're taking a look ...

Shitcago has that stupid green river thing in the spring and I heard someone talking about it with someone on the radio one time and the other guy was like I don't think I would want to do that for spring break, like really? 😂
Good video. I've been living around the Chattanooga area for right at 10 years. Everything in this video is so right. A girlfriend I met online brought me here. She passed away June of last year. Thanks to her she helped me learn to survive in this area. Had it not been for her I don't believe I would've made it. Thank you again for this video as well.
I live in the Chattanooga area. Collegedale is basically next door to me. Nice town. Kingston is another town I like visiting. Pretty town.
I lived in rockfalls, and i prefer Centralia over rockfalls. Rockfalls police shot an unarmed black man 5x and they ruled it justified
Rockfalls power company is not the best!
I thought there was a prison in canton?
Malvern Illinois, 10 houses. Used to be the place back in 1800s. I've been in what used to be stage coach hotel.
Camel rock
Bell tower inn, Centralia and Mt Vernon is 20 minute drive from Centralia
I used to live in Centralia
there are plenty of jobs in east st. louis! I worked there for 14 years as a teacher!
much ❤ to ESTL!
how good is public transportation in both Cities ?
What an absolutely weird video to feature many of the lowest crime towns in one of the safest states in US. Maybe next video about how to bubble wrap your children and pets too?
And yet you clicked on it...
You failed to mentioned the smell in Terre Haute.
Northwest Indiana is usually pretty safe
Lived in Badger State for many years. Love these visits to communities I am not that familiar with. Only thing I would ask, is that you ask a native Wisconsinite for proper pronunciation of some of these city names, such as Menasha and DePere ... thanks again 🙂
Grew up in KC, now living in IL. Chicago has no BBQ to compare to KC. Doesn't even come close.
I'm looking for a good place in Indiana that has job and safe
Check out Ewing and Ina
Crime rate is so high because the incarceration rate is so low. Makes sense to me.....
Come to New Hampshire
I lived in Nashua NH for along tome and. I love it
Thanks for showing a lot of Southern Illinois. I'm from here and it's nice to see someone showing the rest of the country how this part of the state has been driven into poverty. I love living here because of the open spaces but hate seeing over 90% of the state being crippled by Chicago.😔
Indy great crime and violence! Fort Wayne and South BEND the same!!
That might be why none of those three cities are included in a video on safe places in Indiana...
@@StuckInTheKernfield I live in Indiana, born here but have been to over 30 countries in my life before coming home. Small town Indiana is home my sanctuary, which is why I left to see what's out there.
Just a lot of anti-poverty shaming.
No, it isn't. Citing data from the Census Bureau isn't shaming; it's stating facts.
Are the people who speed on crotch rockets called organ donors?
If only they had 3-season San Diego weather. I'm trying to find the minimal snow area.
Chicago has world class arts and entertainment. You also have access to whatever international cuisine you feel like dining at.
so does Kansas City. don't judge if you haven't been there lately.
There are many desirable places in Texas and most of these are not. Texas is safe because most Texans are armed so if you’re thinking of committing a crime you probably will get shot. However, my state is being overrun with an influx from California. They rarely give up their bad habits.
Indiana is the crossroads of America! Most Hoosiers , 60℅, are moderate in everything; that is important in our way of life and our beloved families. We pride ourselves in commerce, family and Faith. We strive to make our state a good and safe place to live but sometimes we get bombarded from every direction to not be who we are. That stamina is what makes Indiana great!
Chicago.
Thank you! I'm from Westville, Illinois and I feel safer in Chicago than Danville.
Whats Illinois like or Minnesota or Michigan or Iowa
I have tons of videos about IL, including this one on cheap and safe places: czcams.com/video/jN0ETBNDsvo/video.html I also have a few on the other states you mentioned, with more in the works.
Springfield is not a college town. Sure, it may have a college but there are probably more people in our local Wal-Mart at one time than go to the college here.
Around the half way point, it becomes about race
I was born in Chicago and lived there till I was like 9 then moved to northwest Indiana and lived there a little over 20 years. People talk about how violent Chicago is and yet I never had any issues there or in Gary Indiana…I moved to southwest Missouri a couple years ago and almost immediately bought and started concealing a personal carry piece daily…if you love right wing weirdos and the Walter white clientele running around everywhere well then Missouri is the place for you!!!…. I hate it here!!!!
You don't want to move to Indiana ,it's terrible !!!! With all these new people coming in home prices are going through the roof and taxes are skyrocketing along with the crime rate going up up up. not good!!!
Why y'all pickin on Southern Missouri? there's a whole other half of the state y'all have ignored!
I just happened to watch this. I’m from Indiana, Bluffton for that matter & couldn’t believe some of your picks. Hartford City # 1 ??? Indiana has so much more to offer that you failed to discover. Huge drug problems in many places you have listed…
I live in popler bluff oops
I visited New Hampshire 2 years ago and it was amazing state. There was so much scenery it was incredible
I was born and raised in Terre Haute Indiana, moved to Indianapolis in 2005 and lived in Indianapolis until 2019. I now live 40 minutes northeast of Indianapolis. I have spent a lot of time in Anderson, Indiana since living in Indianapolis and near Anderson, as well as I lived in Anderson for close to a year, and I can tell you unequivocally that Terre Haute is 5,000 times better than Anderson, which didn’t even make this list! Anderson is full of boarded up buildings and homes, potholes, and overgrown lawns and weeds, has no news stations (Terre Haute has two), no mall (Terre Haute has 2), and lots of toothless meth heads walking around the streets. Terre Haute has two large hospitals; Anderson only has one; Indiana State University is much larger than the college in Anderson, of which I don’t even remember the name. Terre Haute has two super Walmarts; Anderson only has one. Terre Haute has a lot more middle class and upper middle-class neighborhoods than Anderson, which has largely just poor neighborhoods. Terre Haute has several night clubs and college bars, as well as very nice restaurants and a list of restaurants that is over 250; Anderson has one blue-collar nightclub and maybe one or two crappy taverns and maybe two or three somewhat nice restaurants, not to mention that 99% of the parking lots in Anderson are full of cigarette butts. Terre Haute has two airports; Anderson has one. Terre Haute is home to the number 1 engineering college in the United States. To put Terre Haute at number two on this list and Anderson not even on the list is freaking laughable. I would also say that I have been to Muncie several times and Terre Haute is much better than Muncie. Also, I have been to Kokomo multiple times in the last four years, and Terre Haute is much better than Kokomo in every way. And Terre Haute has begun revitalizing its downtown, has a new outdoor large concert venue, The Mill, and its new casino has a luxury hotel, which Anderson's casino does not have. My list would have been South Bend number 7, Terre Haute number 6, Richmond number 5, Kokomo number 4, Muncie number 3, Anderson number 2, Gary number 1.
I never said these are the ONLY places in Indiana someone shouldn't move to; this is just seven of them. Anderson would definitely be on the list, if I had wanted to make it longer. I was just in Anderson in February for an event, and I agree that it has all of the elements of a truly horrible place to live. I don't recommend it either.
Aurora Live there since I was 20 raised 3 sons. I am now nearly 60. Fine place to raise a family work go to church. Know your neighbors love it wouldn't change a thing
i live in harrisburg illinois eheh
ngl ledford is pretty forgotten in saline county
As a a Michigander this was great! I love visiting so many of our beautiful beaches in the summer. I always tell people, there’s nothing in this world that compares to a Michigan Summer. One thing I wanted to share, theres an animal conservancy in Ann Arbor whose mission is rescue and rehab all different kinds of animals. It’s a great alternative to a zoo, if some folks feel differently about that. They are a non profit and they have live animal shows each day. I believe it’s open to the public from 1pm-5pm daily. The name is The Creature Conservancy (Ann Arbor). Thanks for the video!
I live in SW Missouri and love my area. Good friends, loyal neighbors, and a rich culture. It's home! The only downside for me is having to drive so far to get anything because we live in the boonies
Funny. You don't have to wear a seat belt after 18. But you need to get a vehicle saftey check every year?
Portland and Hartford City are rivals. Portland should be #1!!! 🙂
