We have a 300 turbo build. We used the melling hv oil pump, and had lots of problems with way to much oil up top. Just be sure you really need the hv pump.
How fun is that to drive? How are they stock for cruising and such?

From my experience, which is admittedly limited, the zf5 is a pretty noisy transmission
You need to use the industrial version. Steel crank, big rods and steel cam gear.

SO whats under there? headers and cutouts? what muffler brand type size etc?
Love your truck, it's an awesome build. But for the best sounding 300 on CZcams, I'm gonna have to call you out on that one. Do a little search on the following users and check out their 240/300 big 6's and take a listen. Frenchtown Flyer (500 hp NA drag car, 3 500 cfm Holley 2V on a rare factory prototype crossflow head that buzzes to over 7,000 rpm. ) Greg's a legend when it comes to the 240/300 stuff. Six Gun/SLER racing ( 65 Comet with a 300 destroked to 272ci., it's nasty sounding high rpm screamer ) Profound ( built a couple wicked 300's, one turbo charged, one turbo & supercharged ) wvanw ( Big cam, Holman Moody 4V intake, open headers )

Well I know this has been a year ago very good video and I got to ask you a question brother if you can remember where did you get those gauges at what kind are they good looking truck
Hi do what u will my shop told me not to run hv pump if the engine hasn't been clearance for it to run standard may see what ur shop says
Basically ended up replicating this but NA and stock EFI. Going to use DSS K1-5001 -10cc pistons w rings, Promaxx bare CNC ported head with SI valves 4.810” -1.94”/1.60”, stock EFI rockers (maybe Scorpion 1.73) and an Erson E270321 (Hi-Flow AH) .504"/.504" 220/220 284/284 110deg cam shaft. Going to try and fit all of this under a stock EFI valve cover and tune it with EEC-IV. Sleeper EFI build

Does the turbo give you any pep driving the 300 I-6 unloaded, or just really to help with the added weight when you’re towing?
What kind of mileage are you getting with and without towing?
I spent 6k doing this same setup and ported head with valve job. Also running triple weber intake 45mm carbs and clifford headers.

I have a question, have you had any lean issues on cylinders 1 and 6 when changing spark plugs? Or a rich looking plug on the closer cylinders to the sniper EFI? I'm looking to do something like that but I have heard and read a lot of mixed things on them.
I actually just changed the plugs a few weeks ago (went to a colder plug), and all 6 looked near perfect and identical to each other. The only issue I found was the heat line being all the way at the base of the grounding strap, hence the reason for going to a colder plug.
It dries quicker out in the sun.
